Preliminary study for the relation between "hie-sho" (cold feeling) and physical activity
Get PDFThis is a preliminary study for prevention of "hie-sho". "Hie-sho" (cold feeling) is a common illness between Japanese women. Patients of hie-sho feel severe cold on some part of their bodies, for example, hands, feet, legs, or/and waists. Some have so severe symptoms that they need medical care. It is said that appropriate physical movement is needed for prevention or improvement of hie-sho. We studied the physical activity of female students (n=19) by accelerometers, at the same time of study of sleep, degree of hie-sho, and body construction by questionnaire. The samples were divided into 2 groups according to the self-recognition of hie-sho. The group of hie-sho was smaller, thinner, slept longer. There were not large differences on bed time and physical activity between 2 groups. Physical activity in both groups was less than recommended value by the Ministry of Health and Labor.This is a preliminary study for prevention of "hie-sho". No full textThis paper focuses upon the elements of Zokei-Asobi (playful art study) in art works. Zokei-Asobi (playful art study) is carried out by the revision of the course of study of 1989. However, there are a lot of teachers who regard Zokei-Asobi (playful art study) as a weak point in the elementary school. Therefore I examined a relation of Zokei-Asobi (playful art study) and the contemporary art to deepen understanding to Zokei-Asobi (playful art study) in this paper.I classified "molding play" in three by this paper. The first is Zokei-Asobi (playful art study) that paid its attention to materials. The second is Zokei-Asobi (playful art study) that paid its attention to the idle place. And the third is Zokei-Asobi (playful art study) that paid its attention to an act. Restricting dictionary usage as a means to increasing comprehension strategy usage
No full textThis paper reports about an ongoing project that investigates the effect of limiting how often and when learners can consult their dictionaries to check the meaning of words and translate words from their L1 to the L2. Learners reported some difficulty or anxiety when they were not allowed to use their dictionaries, however many of them began to use communication strategies that enabled them to comprehend or get across a message. It is suggested that limiting when learners can consult their dictionaries not only creates a more natural speaking behavior, it increases opportunities for applying effective communication strategies.This paper reports about an ongoing project that investigates the effect of limiting how often and when learners can consult their dictionaries to check the meaning of words and translate words from their L1 to the L2. The legend of Kamidakesan on the Iki island
No full textIn this paper, I intend to study three problems about two kinds of the history books on Kamidakesan temple now kept in Konzoji temple. First, I researched the details of the transmission of these books. Secondly, I made comparative study of the content and the composition of these books. Thirdly, I considered legends of Flying Bear, Jingu-Kogo's invasion of Korea, and boundary between Japan and Korea. As a result, it was pointed out that geographical features of the Iki island -located close to Korean peninsula- influenced the legend of Kamidakesan-temple.In this paper, I intend to study three problems about two kinds of the history books on Kamidakesan temple now kept in Konzoji temple. The present condition and problem of the prevention of floods system in the area zero-meters above sea level: investigation for the lower reaches area of Kisosansen
Get PDFIt often suffers flood damage due to the flood, the flood tide in the area zero-meters above sea level. So, the prevention of floods activities to keep a life and property are important. In Japan, there is the water brigade that a local resident is concerned with the prevention of floods. But, the number of the water brigade members is cut by half caused by the aging in these fifty years. Such conditions are connected with the decline in the area emergency power in the area zero-meters above sea level. This paper investigated an organization system and the activities actual condition for the prevention of floods, and the present state of the facilities maintenance for the lower reaches Area of Kisosansen in Mie Prefecture Kuwana City and Kisosaki Cho. Fashion show in Florence: presentation of their own works in oversea and its' effect
Get PDFAssociation of Japan Design and Culture Society (NDK) Gifu Branch, in which writer is a member of the society, has been organizing fashion contest every year since 2005 to develop young people who study and works in the fields of fashion design and fashion business in Gifu area and to activate fashion business in Gifu area. In October 2008, NDK organized fashion show in Florence, Italy, and presented dresses which were made by students who are studying fashion design in Gifu. Students gained valuable experiences as to present their dresses in the overseas. Survey on fermented foods with wheat flour in Switzerland (Lucerne)

A survey on fermented foods with wheat flour in Switzerland (Lucerne) was carried out in July 2008. Switzerland is surrounded by five countries (Germany, France, Italy, Austria, and Liechtenstein). Therefore, many kinds of breads reflecting the assimilated food culture derived from surrounding countries were available. German- type bread with mixture of rye flour and wheat flour was sold in Lucerne, and only yeast according to Wright's staining was observed in the bread. Both yeast and sour dough were observed in Vollkornbrot (a kind of bread) which has been a traditional fermented food with rye flour in Germany.Bread has been produced throughout history and reflects the cultural climate in many countries. Cooking habits and skills among college students majored in food and nutrition or home economics education
Get PDFQuestionnaire research was conducted to investigate cooking habits and skills among 204 college students. Eighty seven students were food and nutrition major or home economics education major. The students, which majored in food and nutrition or home economics education, prepared or cooked a meal more often and they spent longer time for preparing or cooking a meal, compared with other students. Moreover most of them had a specialty dish. We found that the students, which majored in food and nutrition or home economics education, were interested in food and cooking compared with other students.Questionnaire research was conducted to investigate cooking habits and skills among 204 college students. That is, the server transmits the database content from a main site to a backup site after a constant number of updates.
