Touring and Literature : Studying the History of Touring from the Perspective of Literature
Get PDFThe history of tourism is not yet studied well. This paper researches and narrates that history from the point of literature, gathering and analyzing data from various literary works of English, German and Japanese poets and novelists from the fourteenth century to the modern days. One thing obvious about the subject is that tourism was long enjoyed exclusively by the leisure classes. Tourism represented the affluent and leisurely lives of the political and social elite. However, thanks to the drastic progress in mass transportation since the latter half of the nineteenth century the prerogative of seeing beautiful scenes or visiting historic sites was to be shared by the middle class, and in the end, after the World War II, by the masses. The masses were once part of the scene enjoyed by the decent people, but nowadays it is the common people who go out and sustain tourism. Development of Educational Model Experiment Tool for Structural Design : Fundamental Experiment Using Mechanoluminescence Material

Research on dietary intake of women college students : Actual status and assessment of dietary intake
Get PDFIn this study, we conducted a dietary intake survey of women college students and grasped the actual status of their conventional diet and discussed issues expected in the future. The results show that the intake of nutrients such as energy, calcium, iron and fiber was lower than reference value. On the other hand, the values of fat and salt resulted higher than reference value. Regarding food groups intake, meat, confectionary, sugar and oils and fats showed higher values, while other food groups did not exceed reference values. In addition, values of vegetables, seaweed, fruits, beverages, nuts, seeds, seasoning spices, etc. were less than half of the reference values. As to nutrition intake status, fats were rather good while more than 90% of students did not take sufficient quantity of calcium, iron and fiber. From this study, excessive intake of fat and lack of calcium was indicated. An Attempt to Revitalize the Apparel Production Area by Academic-industrial Collaboration : A Report of the 2nd Gifu Mothers Collection

That is a negative spiral about continuation of the business. By the impoverishment of the domestic production area, the youth is robbed of a working opportunity, and the motivation of students aiming at manufacturing decreases. The fashion education comes under the influence, too.In this article, I take up "the second Gifu Mothers Collection" that is an attempt to solve a problem of the apparel production area by academic-industrial collaboration. Then I analyze it what was accomplished and what was insufficient. The Impact of Mass Media and the Craze for Beauty in China
Get PDFSince the beginning of China's open-door policy in 1978, there have been tremendous changes inside China. The changes in the image of women can be regarded as one of the most astonishing one. This study examines the changes of Chinese women's images influenced by the impact of mass media in the context of China's modernization. Through a close examination into the changes round 2003, the study finds that the craze of Chinese women for beauty, while partially reflecting the decline of state control over people's everyday lives, has been closely linked with the impact of mass media, especially with that of television.Since the beginning of China's open-door policy in 1978, there have been tremendous changes inside China. Studies on the Materials of Processed Foods : Effects of Red Pepper on the Formation of Konnyaku (2)
Get PDFGlucomannan are important food ingredients that make the gel. We examined the effects of the variety and component of additional red pepper on the formation of gelation in the glucomannan in our previous report. Red pepper is a hot seasoning,, two kinds of red pepper(material D and F) were analyzed for the ferrous levels, they were significantly higher in material D(the Korean red pepper) than in material F(the domestic one). When the Korean red pepper was added to paste of glucomannan, the elasticity of paste was inhibited lower than that of the domestic red pepper. By the ferrous component in the red pepper, the gel strength was decreased. The hardness in the formation of glucomannan was not conceded by vitaminC. It was very important for the ferrous levels in the gelation of konnyaku in order to chew them healthily. .Glucomannan are important food ingredients that make the gel. Stop/Stay Action and Location of People at a Public Space in Station : Research at the Osaka Station City "Toki no Hiroba"
Get PDFAt one of public spaces in the Osaka Station City, "Toki no Hiroba", the characteristics of space were observed based on the details of actions, locations of actions, and continuation times of actions generated by people who stopped/stayed at there. As a result, the following conclusions were obtained.(1) Stop action is connected with the originality of space and its generating position can be specified.(2) Stay actions are comparatively generated in wide area.(3) As compared with stop action, the continuation time of stay action is longer.(4) As compared with stop action, the location of stay action disturbs passing persons.At one of public spaces in the Osaka Station City, "Toki no Hiroba", the characteristics of space were observed based on the details of actions, locations of actions, and continuation times of actions generated by people who stopped/stayed at there. Relation between "hie-sho" (cold feeling) and meal
Get PDFThe aim of this study is to investigate the relation between food/meal and "hie-sho". Questioners to 91 women were analyzed. 50 items of food were checked (intake or not) at breakfast, lunch, supper, or tea break during continuous 3 days in February. Group Y ("hie-sho", who are suffering from cold feeling) took less "green tea" than group N (not -"hie-sho"). 3-days intake of "warm food" or "cold food", which were divided by oriental medicine according with the ability to warm body, did not have clear relationship between "hie-sho". Whether the vegetable and fruits were in season or not did not relate to "hie-sho", either.
