Association with food awareness and dietary intake of women college students : Differences of food awareness and dietary intake in Department
Get PDFThe purpose of this study is to conduct a questionnaire survey about dietary intake and food awareness of women college students. It is to examine whether there are differences between dietary intake and dietary awareness of each department and some comparative studies between two departments. As a result, there were no significant differences of food awareness between these two departments. Significant differences among the food awareness, food group intake and nutrient intake were observed in cereals, dairy products, vegetables and fruits. The same as previous reports, in these food groups, those who are aware of food intake resulted in greater intake than those who are not. No significant difference of salt was observed in both departments. In the English Department, no significant difference of oils, fats and lipids was observed, either.departmental bulletin pape

The Possibility of Inverting the Dichotomy of 'Philosophy/Rhetoric' : Focusing on Auditory Practices for 'Subjectivation of Discourse of Truth'
Get PDFWe always have to reflect on our daily practice of ‘thinking’, because we tend to get into patterned thought, a particular way of thinking which can be characterized by dominant discourses. In this paper, we attempt to invert the dichotomy of ‘philosophy / rhetoric’, which has been deep-rooted concept since the days of Plato. Spotlighting an aural aspect of words will lead us to foreground rhetoric as philosophy. Comparing and contrasting discourses dealing with ambivalent faces of aural practices such as listening to what one says, we explore the possibility of rhetoric as the core of our intelligence, ‘ingenium’, which means human intellect that enables us to connect something to something else and results in our reasonable judgment in our complicated world.departmental bulletin pape
Influence which a rest in enclosure space has on recovery from workload
Get PDFWe investigated the influence which the existence of an enclosure at the time of sitting on a chair and relaxing after work has on recovery from fatigue by work. Before and after performing rest with the chair which covered the surroundings with cloth, and the chair not covered, impression evaluation of feeling and space were compared. When the subjects rested on the enclosed chair, evaluation of mind ease improved. The subjects felt that sleepiness increased more notably, when they rested on the enclosed dark chair rather than resting on the chair which is not enclosed. According to the result of room assessment, although the enclosed space was darkly exclusive, it formed the private space and the subjects evaluated it as the pleasant space which can be relaxed. These results suggest that rest in a private space may promote relaxation, and contributes to mitigation of mental load.departmental bulletin pape
Development of Twine Supply Simulation Software of Netting Machine.
Get PDFSimulation software of the warp twine supply with lower hook movement on net machine was developed. On software, twine is modeled by spring-beads model. The movement of twine is calculated by the differential equation of the exercise equation. It enabled this software to predict the load to lower hook from dimensions of movement of net machine and stress-strain curve of twine. By the simulation using the stainless steel wire, it was demanded that it became the load bigger than a polyester twine. Studies on the Materials of Processed Foods : Examination of the processing condition on the formation of the kamaboko
Get PDFThe kamaboko is known as the semi-circular seafood-paste of representative fisheries processed foods. We examined a property control for processing condition to give it as well as cosmetic surgery of the kamaboko. When we added salt to fish meat protein and ground it, actomyosin was eluted and became into a paste form. The steamed fish paste by a steamer was formed "ASHI" with the elasticity and tasty. The appearance of the kamaboko which handcrafted was not regulated well like the marketing products. Therefore we checked the influence of the starch which gave it to the surface formation of the kamaboko, influence of the heating power and the packing difference. The results of the experiment were showed that the elasticity of the kamaboko was increased with the starch, but did not have an influence on the epidermis. In addition, the elasticity was appeared than the one that heated over a low heat, and the epidermis was finished neatly. Furthermore, the kamaboko was elastic and the maximum height when it was wraped tightly.departmental bulletin pape
