What’s Your Point?: Developing Arguments in Research Papers by EFL Writers
Get PDFThis paper details a collaborative research project which was designed to give students studying English as a foreign language skills for writing research papers in English. As part of this project, students practiced forming arguments and collecting and paraphrasing information from various sources to use to support their arguments. The information collected by individuals was made available to all of the participants for use in writing their own research papers. IEDC 2018 is an international engineering workshop conducted to study the educational method of cross-cutting PBL. Thirty students from four universities in the two countries participated and they were divided into six groups. Through ice breaks and lectures, they designed and proposed systems and products according to themes using GOGO Board and Raspberry Pi. The Transition from Priest to Shaman : A Case of Sarahama, Irabu-Island in Okinawa
Get PDFFolk religious practitioners in Okinawa are divided into two types, priest and shaman. Noro (or Tukasanma) who performs rituals for the community is regarded as a priest. Those women of priests only pray to spirits, but spirits don’t answer them. In response to personal requests, Yuta (or Munusunma), who makes fortune telling or prays to spirits of a household is regarded as a shaman. When they do something of seeing a spirit’s figure or hearing a spirit’s voice, spirits give them replays. In Miyako-Islands of Okinawa, religious practitioners, who have finished the term of Noro (Tukasanma) can play the role of Yuta (Munusunma). A Study on an Electoral System in Modern Japan : Focusing on the Deliberations of the revision of the Act for Election Members of the House of Representatives
Get PDFThis paper aims to clarify, as a part of the study on parliamentary systems in modern Japan, characters of the revision of the Act for Election Members of the House of Representatives deliberated on from the 1st session to the 12th session of the Imperial Diet. The Imperial Diet was established based on the Constitution of the Empire of Japan in 1889 and held its 1st session in 1890. The electoral system for members of the House of Representatives was changed repeatedly between several electoral systems, and had a significant influence on the constitution of the member of the House of Representatives. Therefore, clarifying the influence of the repeated change of electoral systems provides us a useful knowledge concerning policymaking mechanism in modern Japan.

Get PDFThe system which generated a three-dimensional molding thing using 3D printer by the fabric three dimensions model data which I made by fabric three dimensions modeling system was built. The fabric expansion model printed out can be used for education and research and development. The fabric structure is not confirmed without a loupe or a microscope spreading with the normal fabric, and using means to observe. No full textThe aim of this paper is to build a way for non-experts to use projection technology at lower cost. The projection technology targeted on this study is Kinect sensor and projection mapping. First of all, we examined various combinations of applications related to Kinect and projection mapping and selected a cost effective method. With the combination, the actions read by the Kinect sensor were imported into Scratch and activated commands in Scratch. Finally, using SCFH DSF, we succeeded in projecting the image made on Scratch to the deformed screen.departmental bulletin pape
Educational Activities Report on Education of Textile Material Science by Regional Collaboration
Get PDFWe started an action to plan promotion of the local industry in 2017, in cooperation with local public entity and trade group. This cooperation utilizes the museum "textile material center" of the fashion material in Hashima-shi in the education base. As one of the actions, we used material of the textile material center for education of the textile materials science. In the training in the textile material center, we let students experienced it by touching the material directly, and they understand the feel and the characteristic of the textile material. Furthermore, we let a student understand a production of warp knit process by observing the knitting factory. As a result, improvement of the interest of the student was confirmed for textile materials science.departmental bulletin pape
