Analisis Wacana pada Novel Mata di Tanah Melus karya Okky Madasari dengan Pendekatan Mimetik
Get PDFLiterary work is seen as a work created by the author by imitating or representing real life. This is in accordance with the focus of literary studies using the mimetic approach which emphasizes the study of the relationship between a literary work and the life that exists outside the literary work. This research aims to 1) understand the novel Mata di Tanah Melus using the mimetic approach 2) analyze the relationship between the novel Mata di Tanah Melus and real life or actual life in Belu Regency, East Nusa Tenggara 3) analyze the phenomena and intrinsic elements in the novel that are related to the real life of the people of Belu, East Nusa Tenggara. The research method used was a descriptive qualitative method or research method that utilizes qualitative data and then described descriptively. The object of this research was dialog quotes and narratives in the novel Mata di Tanah Melus. The results of this study are that there are several parts of the novel Mata di Tanah Melus whose life is exactly the same as real life in Belu Regency, East Nusa Tenggara
The Confusion of Tongues as Analyzed in Frank O’ Connor’s My Oedipus Complex
Get PDFConfusion of Tongues stated by Sándor Ferenczi to show problematic relations between adults and children. He asserts traumatism, done by adults and experienced by children, may shape different perceptions in process. Emphasized by psychoanalysis, desire of love is so dominating that could result to violence. My Oedipus Complex is Frank O’ Connor’s short story that features perfect relationship of a child named Larry and his mother that is disturbed by return of his father from war. The mother tells his father as a puzzle then he becomes enemy for Larry for taking mother’s side. The child’s purity shifted into hate; from being accompanied to lonely and from being close to having distance. So, how is confusion of tongues analyzed in Frank O’ Connor’s My Oedipus Complex? Through qualitative method on Ferenczi’s perspective, this paper indicates psychoanalytic understandings in how language of mother disconcerted by child. The passion of love may break the heart of a child who loses that. Language of desire is reflection of not only giving but also obsessing and possessing. In conclusion, underlining confusion of tongues explains how passion could affect child differently. Any determination of love could always be misinterpreted especially through losing it

Get PDFThis research aims to (1) describe the poetry structure contained in the poetry anthology Sebelas Hari Istimewa by Ratna Ayu Budhiarti, (2) find out the terminology of feelings contained in the poetry anthology Sebelas Hari Istimewa by Ratna Ayu Budhiarti. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive research methods. The theory used in this research is Herman Waluyo\u27s poetry structure theory. There is also a supporting theory used, namely the theory of feeling Terminology from Sumandi Suryabrata. Sumandi explains that feelings are classified into indriyah and spiritual feelings. The subject of this research is the terminology of feelings and the object of this research is the poetry anthology Sebelas Hari Istimewa by Ratna Ayu Budhiarti. The results of this study are (1) analysis of the complete poetry structure, consisting of physical structure which includes: diction, concrete words, imagery, majas, versification, and typography and inner which includes: theme, taste, tone, and mandate; (2) analysis of feeling terminology in poetry which includes (a) indriyah feeling terminology including: sensory feelings, instincts, and responses; (b) spiritual feeling terminology including: divine, intellectual, beauty, and social feelings
Mekanisme Pertahanan Ego Tokoh Utama Novel “Belok Kiri Langsing” Karya: Achi Tm Tinjauan Psikologi Sastra: Ego Defense Mechanisms of the Main Character in the Novel "Belok Kiri Langsing" by Achi TM: A Literary Psychology Perspective
Get PDFThis research aims to analyze the Ego Defense Mechanism of the main character in the novel "Belok Kiri Langsing" by Achi TM. Ego defense mechanisms are psychological strategies that individuals use to deal with conflict, stress and threats faced in everyday life. In this study, the research method used was qualitative analysis of the text of the novel "Belok Kiri Langsing" with a focus on the behavior and dialogue of the main character. Sigmund Freud\u27s psychoanalytic theory is used as a theoretical framework to understand the various ego-protection mechanisms that the main character may use. The research results show that the main character uses various ego defense mechanisms, including repression, rationalization, and sublimation, to overcome the conflict and stress he experiences. Ego becomes the dominant mechanism used by the main character to suppress painful or threatening thoughts or feelings, while rationalization is used to justify the actions or decisions taken. The formation of sublimation appears as a mechanism that helps the main character divert his psychic energy to more constructive activities. This research contributes to the understanding of character characterization in the novel "Represi" and its relevance to psychoanalytic theory. The implications of this research can be used to deepen our understanding of the complexity of human psychology as reflected in literary works

No full textThis research analyses the use of the phrases ‘Ndasmu’ and ‘Hidup Jokowi’ in Prabowo Subianto\u27s political speech through Norman Fairclough\u27s Critical Discourse Analysis (AWK) perspective. The research aims to reveal power relations, ideological conflicts, and their impact on public opinion in the Indonesian political context. A qualitative method with a document study approach was applied to analyse data from news, speech videos, and social media responses. The results show that both phrases operate on three dimensions of AWK namely, (1) The text dimension, where ‘Ndasmu’ functions as a tool of delegitimising critics through sarcasm, while ‘Hidup Jokowi’ builds a narrative of continuity of power, (2) The discursive practice dimension, with the production and distribution of discourse in non-formal spaces triggering polarisation of interpretations, (3) The social context dimension, which confirms the influence of hierarchical Javanese culture and the dynamics of post-2024 post-election politics. The implications of the research reveal that the rhetoric has the potential to erode the quality of democracy through the reduction of critical dialogue space, increased polarisation, and the reproduction of power hegemony. This research recommends increasing people\u27s critical literacy and the ethical responsibility of political actors in using language as an instrument of public communication
Influence of Social Skills on Students\u27 Mathematical Representation Ability
Get PDFSocial skills play an important role in mathematics learning because they support communication, collaboration, and the presentation of ideas. At the same time, mathematical representation is a key process in expressing concepts in verbal, visual, and symbolic forms. This study aims to determine the influence of social skills on students\u27 mathematical representation ability. A quantitative approach with a one-shot case study design was employed. The population consisted of 605 of an elementary school students at Cirebon, Indonesia in the 2024/2025 academic year, and a cluster random sampling technique was used to select 31 students as the sample. Data were collected through a mathematical representation test and a social skills questionnaire. The results showed that social skills significantly influence students\u27 mathematical representation ability, contributing 67.5%, while the remaining 32.5% is explained by other factors. The regression analysis produced a coefficient of 0.775, indicating that for every one-unit increase in the social skills, the mathematical representation ability score is predicted to increase by 0.775 units. These findings emphasize the importance of developing social skills to enhance mathematical representation and create more effective learning experiences

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi landasan filosofis kurikulum merdeka dan implikasinya terhadap pengembangan tugas akhir publikasi ilmiah di Jurusan Aqidah dan Filsafat Islam UIN Siber Syekh Nurjati. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan analisis dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa landasan filosofis Kurikulum Merdeka di Program Studi Aqidah dan Filsafat Islam UIN Siber Syekh Nurjati berjalan dengan konsep liberal arts dan mengadopsi teori enam makna esensial pendidikan yang digambarkan oleh Philip Henry Phenix dalam bukunya The Realm of Meaning, yang berimplikasi terhadap pengembangan tugas akhir non-skripsi di program studi Aqidah Filsafat Islam, yakni publikasi ilmiah. Publikasi ilmiah sebagai tugas akhir di program studi Aqidah dan Filsafat Islam UIN Siber Syekh Nurjati tidak hanya menjadi sarana untuk menerapkan pengetahuan, tetapi juga mendorong mahasiswa untuk berkontribusi terhadap masyarakat melalui penelitian yang relevan dan bermanfaat. Enhancing Learning Interest in Elements and Compounds Materials through Wordwall Interactive Media
No full textThis study aims to increase students\u27 interest in learning by implementing Wordwall learning media on the material of elements and compounds. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research which is carried out in two cycles. The subjects of the study were 30 students of class VIII at SMP Negeri 1 Tengahtani. This study used a data collection instrument in the form of a learning interest questionnaire consisting of 7 statements and an observation sheet. In this study, an increase in the average observation score of cycle 1 was obtained by 53.3% with a moderate category to 80% with a high category in cycle 2. Then the questionnaire score also increased, from 63.1% cycle 1 with a high category to 87.25% in cycle 2 with a very high category. This shows an increase in students\u27 interest in learning. Thus, Wordwall media is worthy of being used as an alternative interactive learning strategy to increase students\u27 interest in learning in class.  
Internal Communication in Work Environment and Job Satisfaction: An Empirical Insight
Get PDFInvestigations into the internal communication strategy and job satisfaction among unionized employees have not been extensively conducted in government-owned tertiary institutions in Nigeria. This gap has led to the existence of misguided directives. The study has two main variables, independent (internal communication strategy), and dependent (job satisfaction). The research focused on exploring the internal communication strategy and job satisfaction of the unionized non-teaching workforce (UNW) in selected government-owned institutions in Lagos State. The study population comprised 4,800 UNW from the University of Lagos and Lagos State University. Employing a mixed technique, the study utilized a multi-stage sampling technique, questionnaires (with a sample size of 357 based on Krecjie and Morgan’s Table), SPSS Version 26, and Nvivo 10 for analysis. Results indicated a positive and statistically significant impact of internal communication on the job satisfaction of UNW in the chosen government-owned universities in Lagos State, with a p-value of 0.000. Thematic analysis revealed that managerial internal communication strategy positively influenced the job satisfaction of UNW. The study concludes, managerial internal communication strategy significantly affects the job satisfaction of UNW in specific government-owned universities in Lagos State. It suggests a policy reassessment for university management to facilitate timely, accurate, trusted, transparent, and reliable information flow, fostering workforce satisfaction and promoting a healthy collaborative work environment. Inclusive in the suggestion is careful implementation of reappraised institutional policy, more so, provision of avenue for transparency in official engagement and reportage. In addition, encouragement of mutual interaction along horizontal and vertical structures within the institution
The Role of Digital Marketing Resilience in Mediating the Relationship Between Entrepreneurial Marketing and Business Performance in Service SMEs
Get PDFThis study aims to examine the role of Entrepreneurial Marketing in enhancing Business Performance through the mediation of Digital Marketing Resilience in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the service sector in Indonesia. The research adopts a quantitative approach with a sample of 100 SMEs, selected using Slovin’s formula with a 10% margin of error. Data were collected through a survey using Google Forms, and the analysis was conducted using SmartPLS. The study investigates the relationships between the three key variables: Entrepreneurial Marketing, Digital Marketing Resilience, and Business Performance.
The results show that Digital Marketing Resilience has a significant positive effect on Business Performance. However, Entrepreneurial Marketing does not have a direct effect on Business Performance, but it significantly influences business performance when mediated by Digital Marketing Resilience. This indicates that entrepreneurial marketing strategies, such as innovation, proactivity, and risk-taking, enhance business performance indirectly through building digital resilience. The findings highlight the importance of integrating entrepreneurial marketing with resilient digital marketing strategies to drive better business performance. This research provides valuable insights for SMEs aiming to optimize their marketing strategies and adapt to the challenges of the digital era
