Optimization of Medium Voltage Distribution Network Maneuver for Feeder Reliability in Fault Conditions

    No full text
Network maneuvers in the medium voltage distribution system are performed during faults or maintenance to maintain continuity of electricity service. This study focuses on analyzing the network conditions during maneuvers in the Tasikmalaya area to identify the optimal feeder backup strategy and minimize voltage drops and power losses. The analysis was conducted using ETAP software with simulations of various load scenarios (40%, 80%, and 100%). The results show that the best voltage in the existing condition is found on the SBBC feeder, with a voltage value of 0.9710 p.u at a 100% load condition. Meanwhile, the smallest power losses occur on the TMSR feeder, amounting to 233.6 kW. In the maneuver scenario, the best results are obtained when the TMSR feeder is backed up by the PDYN feeder through the LBS RIMA switch, with a voltage of 0.9612 p.u on the TMSR feeder and 0.9533 p.u on the PDYN feeder, and total power losses of 606.6 kW. This study highlights the importance of in-depth analysis in selecting maneuver strategies to ensure network stability and minimize service disruptions. The decision to choose a backup feeder should not only consider the feeder's ability to support additional loads but also its impact on power losses and voltage quality across the network. Therefore, this research makes a significant contribution to more efficient medium voltage distribution network management, particularly in handling faults and maintenance

Effects of Semi-Automated Preprocessing in The Beef Freshness Prediction based on Near Infrared Spectroscopy

    No full text
This study investigates the application of near-infrared spectroscopy (NIR) within the wavelength range of 1350–2550 nm to predict key quality parameters of beef, specifically focusing on tenderloin cuts. The quality indicators assessed include drip loss, color, pH, moisture content, storage duration, and total plate count (TPC) as a measure of microbial load. Predictive modeling was conducted using three machine learning algorithms: Partial Least Squares (PLS), Support Vector Regression (SVR), and Random Forest Regressor (RFR). To enhance model accuracy, a semi-automated preprocessing pipeline was employed utilizing the Nippy library. This library integrates several spectral preprocessing techniques including Savitzky-Golay filtering, Standard Normal Variate (SNV), Robust Normal Variate (RNV), Local Standard Normal Variate (LSNV), as well as clipping, resampling, baseline correction, and smoothing.  Among the models developed using raw spectral data, the RFR model exhibited the highest performance, achieving coefficient of determination (R²) values of 0.82 for drip loss, 0.65 for color, 0.67 for pH, 0.61 for moisture content, 0.81 for storage duration, and 0.76 for TPC. Post preprocessing, the predictive accuracy improved significantly with R² values increasing to 0.89, 0.82, 0.87, 0.85, 0.91, and 0.90 respectively for the same parameters. These findings underscore the potential of combining advanced machine learning techniques with robust preprocessing methods to enhance the non-destructive, rapid assessment of beef quality parameters. This approach offers a promising tool for quality control in the meat processing industry, facilitating more efficient and accurate monitoring of product standards

Satirical Meanings In The Song “The Israel Dream†Schleiermacher's Hermeneutic Interpretation Of Israel's Dark Face As The Nemesis Of The Islamic World

    No full text
This article analyzes the satirical meaning in The Israel Dream, a song by Mushtofa Al-Mumri, using Schleiermacher’s hermeneutic approach. Although the song appears to support Zionist narratives, it actually delivers sharp criticism against an oppressive ideology that positions the Islamic world as the primary nemesis of the Greater Israel project. The study aims to uncover how linguistic structures and symbolism in the lyrics convey hidden messages filled with socio-political critique. A qualitative descriptive method is used, applying both grammatical and psychological interpretation to examine the text and the composer’s intent. The findings reveal that the lyrics employ irony, metaphor, and narrative impersonation to deconstruct Zionist propaganda from a fabricated internal voice, awakening listeners to its underlying dangers. The song is not merely an artistic expression, but also serves as a form of cultural resistance and spiritual consciousness. This study affirms that music can be a powerful reflective medium in opposing hegemony especially when that hegemony frames Islam as its ideological nemesis

Unveiling Feminist Themes: Simone de Beauvoir’s Influence on The Book Little Women

    No full text
From a feminist standpoint, this article examined Louisa May Alcott's Little Women with a perspective on issues such as the complexity of womanhood, existential independence, personal choice, and the continuous fight against objectification. This study, using a qualitative method, examined how the characters, especially the March sisters, negotiate the gender roles imposed upon them in 19th-century society. Every sister has a different reaction to the cultural standards of femininity, and their experiences expose the restrictions placed by social roles. Jo's defiance of conventional wisdom, particularly her refusal to marry for convenience and her will to be a writer, questions the belief that a woman's fate rests just in marriage and housekeeping. Marmee also stresses over simple social compliance the value of financial independence and personal conviction. These character paths highlight how women try to establish autonomy inside limited systems and reflect more philosophical questions about freedom, choice, and identity. Little Women challenges the cultural narratives that try to define and restrict women in other ways than telling a coming-of-age story through its subtle representations. This study highlights the continuing importance of the work and shows how literature can be an important lens through which feminist issues, especially the complexity of gendered experience may be explored and understood
