Optimalisasi Penggunaan Zeolit Dalam Proses Penyerapan Sulfur Pada Limbah Sabun
Limbah sabun detergen mengandung bahan berbahaya sulfur yang bisa mengganggu keseimbangan biota laut. Limbah detergen dapat mengubah warna air menjadi kecoklatan dan mengeluarkan bau busuk. Oleh karena itu perlu dilakuakan suatu upaya untuk mengurangi jumlah polutan pada limbah detergen tersebut sebelum di alirkan ke masyarakat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk membuktikan bahwa penggunaan zeolite dapat mengurangi komponen sulfur yang ada di dalam air sabun, dan mengetahui perbandingan waktu pengadukan dan berat optimum zeolite untuk mencapai proses penyerapan yang maksimal. Penelitian ini dilakukan di di laboratorium riset jurusan Teknik kimia FTI UMI Indonesia dan pengujian dilakukan pada SMAK Makassar. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan sampel limbah laundry, bahan bahan seperti zeolite, karbon aktif dan Analisa dengan menggunakan alat spektrofotometer . Proses penelitian dilakukan dengan mengambil 250 ml sampel limbah kemudian ditambahkan dengan zeoilt sesuai dengan variable yang digunakan dan dilakukan proses adsorbansi. Setelah itu di Analisa menggunakan alat spektrofotometer. Dari hasil penelitian yang dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan zeoilit dapat mengurangi komponen sulfur yang ada di dalam air sabun limbah laundry dan penyerapan optimal terjadi pada penambahan 40 gr zeolite dengan waktu pengadukan 210 menit
TECHNO ECONOMIC STUDY OF LIQUID SMOKE FROM CASHEW NUT SHELL WASTE
Liquid smoke has a very large use, it is a result of condensation or condensation of pyrolysis vapor, directly or indirectly from wood materials such as cashew nut shells. Cashew nut shell is an abundant biomass of cashew nut processing industry but its utilization is not optimal. The purpose of this study was to make liquid smoke from cashew nut shell waste (technological aspect) and conduct economic analysis (economic aspect) to determine economic feasibility. Liquid smoke is made by pyrolysis at a temperature of 150-450oC in a simple batch type reactor. The results obtained were analyzed for its chemical components using Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectroscopy (GC-MC) spectrophotometer analysis. The largest liquid smoke production was obtained at a temperature of 450oC and a time of 2.5 hours with a yield of 19.46%. The main chemical components contained in liquid smoke are phenol (36.310%), acid (12.947%) and carbonyl (16.715%) respectively. With a liquid smoke production capacity of 200 tons per year, liquid smoke products can be sold at a price of IDR 3,620,137,785/years. Total Production cost 2,572,976,800/years. Annual net profit 733,012,689. Investigation of the economic feasibility of liquid smoke production, seen from the Rate of Rate on Investment, is 15.65%, Pay Out Time is 2.99 years and Break Event Point is 49.05
NOVELTY DOES MATTER: SLM IS A CONVENIENT WAY FINDING A RESEARCH ORIGINALITY
A good research is a research with a clear research novelty of research originality. However, finding the novelty or originality is one of the most challenging process in research in any field. Although there are many proposed models to assist researchers and scholars to determine research novelty-such as Systematic Literature Review, K-Chart, Card System, Decision Tree, Mind Mapping- most of the tools or models fail to fulfill the need of some researcher to effectively present the complex result of literature review. To deal with this obstacle, a new tool named SLM (Systematic Literature Mapping) is proposed in this article in order to visually present the result of a complex literature review in the form of a decision tree that leads to an effective and efficient literature review process. The newly proposed model combines SLR (Systematic Literature Review), an established-well-known tool for literature review with a model named K-Chart. To verify the proposed model, a case study is discussed to accompany the example of the application of this new tool. DECISION MAKING ANALYSIS OF AUTO-ID SYSTEM USING ANALYTICAL HIERARCHY PROCESS (AHP) AT PT. AKG
The increasingly competitive industrial competition makes companies from all sectors around the world change the system to be more efficient and effective. One of the efforts to improve the company is by implementing a Warehouse Management System (WMS). Lately, many large companies are implementing Auto-ID (automatic identification) technology to solve existing problems. The types of Auto-ID technology that are often used are barcode, RFID and QR code technology. PT AKG is a manufacturing company that produces and markets plastic finished materials to serve the needs of other companies has not yet implemented WMS, this causes human error due to the process still manual. This research proposed to find the best warehouse management system using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method for PT. AKG. Alternative systems in this study are barcode, RFID, and QR code with the criteria used are cost, fuctionality, performance, and sustainability. Based on the results, the system chosen is the QR code with a score of 0.578084. QR codes can make it easier for operators and PPIC department staff to take notes and minimize recording errors. Recording that originally used Microsoft Excel and paper as a tool is no longer needed because operators only need to scan using a smartphone that is connected to the company's warehouse management system
Pemetaan dan Survei Geokimia Batuan untuk Prospeksi Mineralisasi Bijih pada Daerah Tolangohula, Kabupaten Limboto, Provinsi Gorontalo
Tolangohula merupakan prospek yang berada dalam sabuk mineralisasi emas dan logam dasar di Sulawesi Utara, secara administratif terletak di Kabupaten Limboto, Provinsi Gorontalo. Sementara itu data eksplorasi atau penelitian mineralisasi masih terbatas. Oleh sebab itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kondisi geologi, sebaran zona alterasi dan mineralisasi bijih, serta geokimia batuan/bijih untuk mendeliniasi daerah-daerah target yang direkomendasi pada kegiatan eksplorasi lanjutan yang lebih rinci. Metoda penelitian yang diterapkan antara lain pemetaan geologi dan alterasi rinci, pengambilan sampel, analisis sampel dengan petrografi, mikroskopi bijih dan geokimia bijih dengan menggunakan FA-AAS dan ICP-MS. Data geokimia dianalisis secara univariat dan multivariat. Daerah penelitian tersusun oleh satuan andesit yang diterobos oleh satuan diorit-granodiorit yang merupakan bagian dari Intrusi Diorit Boliohuto (Tmbo) yang berumur Miosen Tengah-Akhir. Struktur yang berkembang relatif timur laut-barat daya dan barat laut-tenggara. Alterasi hidrotermal diidentifikasi berupa filik, argillik dan propilitik. Zona filik memiliki intensitas alterasi yang pervasif, kuat dan berasosiasi dengan kehadiran urat-uratan dengan struktur stockwork. Mineralisasi bijih dalam bentuk tersebar dalam batuan (disseminated) dan mengisi urat/uratan dicirikan dengan kehadiran bornit, kalkopirit, pirit, magnetit dan free gold. Kadar emas berkisar dari 0,005 ppm hingga 0,363 ppm dan rerata 0,028 ppm. Kadar tembaga berkisar dari 2 ppm sampai 1.830 ppm (0,183%), dengan rerata 189,5 ppm. Nilai kadar Cu dan Au berkorelasi positif dan berasosiasi dengan zona mineralisasi dan alterasi yang kuat berupa filik. Berdasarkan karakteristik endapan tersebut, kemungkinan tipe endapan yang hadir di daerah penelitian adalah tipe endapan Cu-Au porfiri. Studi ini juga merekomendasi 3 daerah target eksplorasi lanjut yaitu Daerah Target 1 (Blok Timur), Daerah Target 2 (Blok Tengah) dan Daerah Target 3 (Blok Barat). Metoda eksplorasi lanjut yang direkomendasi meliputi geokimia tanah (soil geochemistry) serta survei geofisika IP dan/atau ground magnetics
Pengaruh Sifat Fisik Batuan Terhadap Kuat Tekan Uniaksial pada Batu Granit di Pulau Bangka
Batu granit merupakan batuan beku asam yang banyak terdapat di Pulau Bangka. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh sifat fisik batuan terhadap kuat tekan uniaksial pada batu granit.Penelitian dilakukan dengan pengujian sifat fisik, dan pengujian kuat tekan uniaksial. Analisis sifat fisik batuan dilakukan untuk mengetahui dimensi ukuran, bobot isi, kadar air, porositas, dan derajat kejenuhan, sedangkan analisis sifat mekanik batuan untuk memperoleh nilai UCS. Melalui uji sifat fisik dan kuat tekan uniaksial pada batu granit diperoleh bobot isi asli, kering, dan jenuh berkorelasi negatif dengan porositas. Semakin tinggi porositas, nilai bobot isi semakin kecil. Sampel batu granit memiliki porositas rendah dengan rata-rata 3,49%, bobot isi asli rata-rata 2,48 gr/cm3, bobot isi kering dengan rata-rata sebesar 2,45 gr/cm3 dan bobot isi jenuh rata-rata sebesar 2,49 gr/cm3, Kadar air rata-rata sebesar 1,29% dan derajat kejenuhan sebesar 90,31%. Parameter sifat fisik yang paling mempengaruhi kuat tekan uniaksial adalah porositas dan kadar air. Nilai porositas lebih mempengaruhi nilai UCS dengan R2 sebesar 0,9033 dan kadar air lebih mempengaruhi nilai Modulus Young dengan R2 sebesar 0,8602. Semakin besar porositas dan kadar air yang terkandung, maka akan semakin berkurang kekuatan batuan
FACTORS AFFECTING KNOWLEDGE SHARING OF ENGINEERS IN OIL AND GAS COMPANIES
Knowledge sharing among employees has been identified as one of the factors that contribute to improved job performance. Thus, this study examines the relationship between engineer’s perceived enjoyment, perceived status and subjective norm on their intention towards knowledge sharing in public oil and gas firms in Iraq. The study selects 240 engineers from oil and gas companies in Iraq to participate in the research. A questionnaire designed in a Likert scale format was used for the data collection. The data were analysed using descriptive statistical analysis and Correlation analysis. The results of the analysis show that there is a positive relation between engineer’s perceived enjoyment, perceived status and subjective norm on their intention towards knowledge sharing in public oil and gas firms in Iraq. The paper makes some recommendations on how to increase engineers’ perceived enjoyment, perceived status and subjective norm and eventually increase intention towards knowledge sharing
EVALUATION OF WORK POSITION USING SUBYECTIVITY APPROACH BASED ON RULA METHOD
Workers' activities basically have a positive and negative impact, one of which is the result of a disturbed skeletal and muscular system, which is a decrease in the strength level of body parts which constitutes work productivity when carrying out daily activities. Knowing the danger level of body posture carried out by the welding position, so that it can be given useful input for the company's progress. The method used is the Rapid User Limb Assessment (RULA) method carried out on welding workers and the research method quantitatively and qualitatively then carried out statistical analysis, subjectivity and rula. The results showed that the final score of the posture of squatting, sitting and sitting in a chair had a score of 7, which means a high level of risk and needs immediate improvement. After evaluating the welding position improvement, there is a seat posture with a score of 3 which is a low risk level and requires changes. Same with the welding position sitting on the chair. The squat welding position with a score of 4 which is a low level risk level and sitting work posture has a score of 4 which means a low risk level, but requires a change for the future. From this study it was found that the relationship between Nordic Body Map and RULA was a continuity in squat work postures, which was found that this work posture had the highest risk of danger. Need to improve work posture in certain welding positions in this project or provide counseling about the dangers of work in the work posture if it continue
DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT OF DESK STUDY MULTIFUNCTIONAL IN ORDER TO SAVE SPACE USING QFD METHODE
Today many consumers want to own some product but other things had got in the way for one thing, it's an area of land owned by consumers. So the problem of consumers buying goods is product dimensions. That problem make consumers hesitate to buy a product. Nowadays furniture entrepreneurs, especially desk entrepreneurs, are required to make new innovations in which products are much more space efficient without eliminating the most powerful factors. To be able to design and develop the product that consumers want is done by spreading open questionnaires, then after the results have been obtained from the open questionnaires have taken a closed questionnaire. After getting the data from the questionnaire, then build a QFD (quality function deployment). After build a QFD then analysis product. The feasibility of the product is a step made to analyze whether it is worth the business product. In terms of financial value that’s IRR (Internal Rate of Return) 3,45% and positif for NPV.
Efektifitas Kulit Buah Kakao (Theobroma Cacao L) Sebagai Antibakteri Terhadap Escherichia Coli (E.Coli) dan Biosorben Terhadap Logam Cd dalam Air Menggunakan Aktivator Asam Nitrat (HNO3)
Seiring perkembangan industri di Indonesia, maka pencemaran oleh industri pun mengalami peningkatan secara tajam. Bahan pencemar dapat berupa bahan mikrobiologi maupun kimia. Penelitian Ini bertujuan Untuk mengatahui pengaruh konsentrasi ekstrak kulit buah kakao (Theobroma Cacao L) dalam menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri Escherichia Coli dan untuk mengetahui pengaruh konsentrasi biosorben kulit buah kakao terhadap penurunan Logam Cd dalam Air. Ekstrak kulit buah kakao diperoleh dari proses ektraksi dengan metode maserasi dan pelarut etanol 96%, kemudian dipekatkan dengan alat rotary evaporator. Ekstrak kulit buah kakao mampu menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri yaitu pada uji anti bakteri masing-masing ekstrak dengan konsentrasi 0%, 25%, 50% dan 75% menghasilkan zona hambat 0 mm, 9 mm, 13 mm dan 22 mm. Semakin besar konsentrasi ekstrak yang dikontakkan pada bakteri E.coli, maka semakin besar pula daya hambat terhadap bakteri E.Coli. Biosorben kulit buah kakao diaktivasi dengan HNO3 0,6 N. Biosorben dengan massa 1 gram, 5 gram dan 10 gram mampu menyerap Cd pada limbah yaitu masing-masing menyerap sebesar 0,5875 mg/L, 2,3038 mg/L dan 2,6183 mg/L dari konsentrasi awal limbah yaitu 3,4250 mg/L. Efektifitas penyerapan yaitu sebesar 17,15%, 67,26% dan 76,45%.
