    Review Kemajuan Tambang Bulan November 2019 dan Perencanaan Tambang Bulan Desember 2019 di Tambang Terbuka Batubara

    Perencanaan bulanan, berdasarkan jangka waktunya, termasuk ke dalam perencanaan jangka pendek (short-term planning). Tahap pekerjaan yang berperan penting untuk operasi tambang yang efektif dan efisien pada perencanaan bulanan yaitu mengevaluasi kemajuan tambang bulan sebelumnya dan merencanakan tahapan penambangan bulan berikutnya. Penelitian ini dilakukan di tambang terbuka batubara dengan tujuan mendeskripsikan review kemajuan tambang pada bulan November 2019 dan merencanakan penambangan bulan Desember 2019. Rencana penambangan mencakup penetapan batas penambangan, perancangan kemajuan pit, perubahan disposal, jalan angkut tambang, tahapan penambangan, jadwal produksi, serta jumlah alat gali muat, angkut dan support. Perangkat lunak Minescape 5.7 digunakan pada proses desain tambang dan perhitungan volume overburden dan coal. Penentuan batas penambangan (pit limit) ditentukan dari target bulanan dan perancangan tambang tidak melebihi dari rancangan tahunan. Rencana jumlah alat mempertimbangkan produktivitas alat mekanis yang tersedia agar dapat mencapai target bulanan. Hasil review pada bulan November 2019,  overburden dan coal aktual yang tergali lebih 10% dari target. Topografi pit pada akhir bulan elevasinya kurang dari request level (undercut). Aktual horizontal distance dan vertical distance pada coal getting sesuai dengan plan. Sedangkan pada pemindahan overburden, horizontal distance 11% lebih dari plan dan vertical distance 7% kurang dari plan. Rencana kemajuan tambang pada bulan Desember 2019 menggunakan angka stripping ratio 3, luasan area bottom pit 21.48 Ha dengan RL -64 dan -48, luasan area Low Wall 16.72 Ha dengan RL -16. Produksi batubara pada bulan Desember 2019 direncanakan  400,000 ton, dengan pemindahan overburden sebesar 1,200,000 bcm. Target akan dicapai dengan 4 alat gali muat dan 96 alat angkut untuk pemindahan overburden dan 1 alat gali muat dan 17 alat angkut untuk coal getting, 3 dozer di pit dan 2 dozer di disposal

    Abu batubara limbah PLTU Mulut Tambang Bangko Barat di Kabupaten Muara Enim, baik fly ash maupun bottom ash jumlahnya sangat banyak dan belum termanfaatkan maksimal. Abu batubara memiliki kandungan logam tanah jarang sehingga perlu dilakukan kajian potensinya untuk menjadi sumber daya dan cadangan LTJ dimasa depan. Tahapan dari penelitian ini adalah preparasi sampel dan pengujian distribusi ukuran butir dengan metode ayak basah dan kering. Morfologi butir diamati dengan mikroskop bijih serta penentuan kandungan mineralogi dengan XRD, kandungan oksida dengan XRF dan kandungan unsur dengan ICP-MS. Distribusi ukuran butir abu batubaranya 79,72%-98,16% lolos ayakan No.200 (0,074 mm). Morfologi butirnya berbentuk sub-rounded dan masih ada batubara yang belum terbakar sempurna. Kandungan mineralnya yang dominan adalah kuarsa, mineral minor seperti muskovit, hematit, magnetit, pirit, lime dan periclase. Oksida yang dominan adalah SiO2, Al2O3, SO3, Fe2O3, CaO dan MgO. Berdasarkan hasil uji ICP-MS terdeteksi 16 unsur LTJ. Kandungan total LTJ setiap sampel, FA BB dan BA BB berturut-turut yaitu 263,92 ppm dan 105,99 ppm. LTJ dari abu batubara PLTU Mulut Tambang Bangko Barat yang potensial diekstraksi adalah  serium kadarnya 84,8 ppm, neodimium 42 ppm, itrium 40,6 ppm dan lantanum 33,6 ppm dari fly ash sedangkan pada bottom ash hanya serium yang kadarnya 38,1 ppm

    Colo Volcano is an active volcano located on Una-Una Island, Tojo Una-Una Regency, Central Sulawesi Province. Volcanism and magmatism of Mount Colo are still in progress, and this has certainly triggered mineralization in volcanic rocks which is interesting for study. This research aims to reveal the mineralization characteristics of volcanic rocks in the study area. This research was conducted through investigative methods in the form of field observations and laboratory through petrographic and rock chemistry (X-Ray Defraction analysis) to reveal the presence of alteration minerals as a characteristic of mineralization. The results of this study indicate that the volcanic rocks present are tuff and volcanic breccia in the form of pyroclastic deposits associated with alluvial material and andesite rocks. Identification of alteration minerals through XRD test shows the presence of hydrothermal alteration minerals with a formed temperature of 300 ° C such as Quartz, Calcite, Clinochlore, Albite, Dickite, Andesine, and K-Feldspar which are classified into Argillic and Propylitic alteration types

    Modifikasi Bioadsorben Rumput Laut (Eucheuma Cottonii)-Abu Sekam Padi Sebagai Bioadsorben Limbah Cair Industri Minuman Ringan

    Adsorpsi bahan pencemar dengan menggunakan biomassa telah banyak diteliti dua diantaranya adalah menggunakan abu sekam padi dan rumput laut. Dalam penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji bagaimana kombinasi dua biomassa tersebut dalam menurunkan nilai cemaran limbah serta untuk mengetahui bobot adsorben dan waktu kontak optimum terhadap kemampuan bioadsorben dalam mengadsorpsi limbah cair. Efektifitas bioadsorben diuji melalui beberapa parameter yakni pH, turbiditas, kadar logam Cd, total padatan tersuspensi (TSS) dan COD. Dosis optimum yang paling efektif dalam menurunkan cemaran limbah cair industri minuman ringan adalah pada 0,5 gram dalam 150 mL limbah cair selama 30 menit dan 1.5 gram selama 30 menit pada penurunan kadar logam Cd yang diuji menggunakan adsorben abu sekam padi. Kemudian dilakukan variasi kombinasi rumput laut dan abu sekam padi 100, 75, 50, dan 25(%). Dari kombinasi tersebut rumput laut sebanyak 100% memiliki efektivitas yang paling tinggi dengan penurunan kadar pH sebesar 27 %, turbiditas sebesar 75,16 %, TSS sebesar 91,43 % dan COD sebesar 97,77 %

    Pembuatan Bioetanol Dari Limbah Popok Bayi Melalui Proses Hidrolisis dan Fermentasi

    Penggunaan popok bayi sekali pakai di Indonesia mencapai 85% dari angka kelahiran bayi setiap tahunnya akan menjadi permasalahan di bidang lingkungan, sehingga limbah tersebut dapat dimanfaatkan dalam pembuatan bioetanol. Penelitian ini bertujuan melakukan penelusuran pustaka untuk kondisi optimum untuk proses hidrolisis dan fermentasi dalam pembuatan bioetanol, serta menentukan analisa kelayakan pembuatan bioetanol dari limbah popok bayi. Metode penelitian ini melalui proses hidrolisis menggunakan larutan asam sulfat dan proses fermentasi menggunakan bakteri saccaromyces cereviceae. Hasil studi literatur dari penelusuran pustaka menunjukkan bahwa popok bayi memiliki serat selulosa sebanyak 40% yang dapat menghasilkan glukosa menjadi bahan baku bioetanol. Kondisi optimum proses hidrolosis dan fermentasi pembuatan bioetanol adalah konsentrasi asam 0,05M pada suhu121oC selama 150 menit dengan perbandingan ragi : NPK = 3:4 gram selama 5 hari memberikan kadar etanol yang tinggi. Analisa kelayakan ekonomi untuk skala home industry berbasis bahan baku 6.875 kg/bulan menunjukkan layak untuk diaplikasikan dengan BEP: 15,70%, ROI: 16,72% dan POT: 9,42 bulan

    ENGINEERING DESIGN OF AUTOMATIC SELENOID STOVE TO REDUCE MUSCULOSKELETAL DISORDERS COMPLAINTS USING NBM AND RULA APPROACH

    UKM Kenanga is a home industry producing various cassava chips based in Kubu Raya district, West Kalimantan. Complaints regarding musculoskeletal were identified in the process of frying chips. The complaints were carpal tunnel syndrome, low back pain, neck pain, as well as on the forearm and upper arm. Non-ergonomic working position contributes to these complaints. Therefore, it is necessary to perform this analysis and suggest a tool that would be helpful to reduce the worker’s complaints. Formerly, there haven’t been any early studies that cover the design of an automatic stove for the frying process based on biomechanical considerations, particularly on musculoskeletal disorder complaints.This study performs an analysis based on Nordic Body Map (NBM) and Rapid Upper Limb Assessment (RULA) concerning the process of frying the chips. Nordic Body Map analysis was used to identify body parts that were experiencing fatigue. Following the Nordic Body Map results, the automatic stove was designed to solve the employees’ complaints. RULA approach was used to analyze the condition after the employees carried out the work using the stove. The outcomes of this study are an automatic solenoid stove and a stool for the process of chips frying. RULA approach on the frying process with the manual stove and with the automatic solenoid stove resulted in L4-LV compression level reduced by 71.05%, whereas for Flex/Ext Compression was 87.97

    Bijih besi di daerah Pakke ditemukan berupa bongkah-bongkah bijih besi magnetit dan hematit yang berasosiasi dengan intrusi granodiorit dan pegmatit granodiorit (Utoyo, 2008). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kondisi geologi, jenis batuan dan mineral pembawa bijih besi, serta karakteristik endapan bijih besi daerah penelitian. Tahapan pengambilan data berupa Pengamatan Singkapan. Pengambilan sampel litologi, menggunakan metode Rock Sampling. Metode analisis yang digunakan untuk menentukan karakatersitik endapan bijih besi yaitu analisis petrografi untuk mengetahui jenis litologi, analisis mineragrafi untuk mengetahui mineral pembawa bijih dan analisis XRD (X-Ray Diffraction) untuk mengetahui mineral alterasi dan mineral bijih. Berdasarkan tipe alterasi dan mineralisasi diketahui bahwa tipe endapan bijih besi pada daerah penelitian yaitu endapan skarn. Dimana endapan skarn ini terbentuk proses metamorfisme kontak yang bertemperatur tinggi. Magma yang kaya akan silika menginstrusi batuan sedimen yang kaya akan karbonat seperti batugamping. Jenis batuan pada daerah penelitian yaitu batuan beku berupa basal yang diindikasikan sebagai source rock dan batuan karbonat berupa wackstone yang diindikasikan sebagai host rock atau batuan penyimpan bijih besi dimana mineral pembawa bijih besi yaitu magnetit, hematit dan goetit

    The development of the era where everything is instantaneous and fast as it is today must be supported by the development of increasingly sophisticated information technology. One of the functions of this technological development is to obtain accurate and fast information. But in fact, there are still companies / organizations that have not used computer technology as a work aid, such as the Bromo Rajawali Convection which still uses the manual method of writing employee data, namely data storage still using books. Therefore, the design of an employee data management information system is carried out that can help companies control the production data of each tailor employee. The method used in this research is the Waterfall method. It is called a waterfall because the steps that are passed must wait for the completion of the previous stage and run sequentially, for example the design stage must wait for the completion of the previous stage, namely the requirements stage [1]. The Waterfall method consists of 5 stages, namely Analysis, Design, Coding, Testing and Maintenance. The purpose of this study is to design an information system that can make it easier for companies to write down employee production data accurately. From the design results, there are two factors that support the running of the system, namely administration and production data, the input form available on the system that has been designed, namely the login input form and the employee data input form, while the output form contains complete data related to employee personal data and employee production data. With the creation of a management information system in writing data on employee production, the Rajawali Bromo Convection can accelerate the search for more accurate data in the future, and applications made later by the company can be used properly as one of the employee production data system

    INFORMATION SYSTEM DESIGN FOR FINAL PROJECT CONSULTATION

    This Final Project is one of the graduation requirements for Industrial Engineering students at the Islamic University of Bandung. Currently.  The final project consultation process is conducted manually using physical documents owned by each student as proof of consultation in the form of a consultation card. The problem faced was the difficulty in monitoring consultations and recording consultation discussions which were not well organized. The purpose of this study is to design a consulting information system using the prototyping method. The prototyping method is a system development method used to describe the system. The stages in this method consist of: (1) The planning stage is the identification of system requests. (2) the analysis phase analyzes the existing business processes in the final project section and identifies functional and non-functional requirements, (3) the design phase includes the interaction design of systems, processes, data and logical systems and physical interfaces. (4) Implementation phase of database and website development using PHP language and MySQL database.     Operability and Flexibility of Pinch Applications on Heat Exchanger Network in Chemical Industry – A Review

    Energy conservation has recently become one of the most important considerations in industries, especially in petrochemical industries. This is due to the limited availability of fuel which affects the price of energy sources, as well as the tightening of the regulations concerning environmental and social issues related to pollutant emissions produced by industries. The successful energy-saving efforts made by industries impact on not only lowering production costs but also indirectly preserving natural resources as well as reducing the pollution of CO2 which is one of the gases contributing to global warming. Pinch analysis has been widely known for process integration, especially in heat integration, in order to gain energy efficiency and cost efficiency in many industries for decade. The analysis allows selection of efficient heat exchanger network with minimum hot and cold energy requirement. By using pinch analysis, the number of heat exchanger units required could also be minimized which leads to the optimum cost of operational and investment. Pinch analysis is also allowing for the investigation of any pinch problems, such as pinch threshold problems, cross pinch problems, and problems related to incorrect placement of utilities which impacted to the wastefulness of energy consumption. Despite many success studies of highly potential saving of heat integration through pinch analysis, the real implementation of efficient and effective heat exchanger network (HEN) based on pinch analysis is still facing difficulties, for example in term of flexibility and controllability of operation.  This paper provides preliminary information in increasing energy efficiency or energy savings when utilizing pinch technology considering operability and flexibility of its operation for retrofitting units for chemical industrial plants
