Self-Actualization: The Case of Experiential Programming in Luxury Hotels
This study investigates the evolution of experiential programs (EPs) within luxury resort environments. Though extant literature indicates a correlation between guest experiences and self-actualization within the context of luxury resort environments, there remains a significant gap in research that explicitly examines experiential programming, within this framework. The research employs a semi-structured interview framework to evaluate the relationship between EPs and guests’ self-actualization during luxury resort stays. Data were collected through interviews with five guests from luxury resorts in North America. The findings demonstrate that EPs substantially contribute to guests’ self-actualization with enduring feelings of self-actualization that persisted long after their departure. Participants highlighted essential elements including tranquillity, immersion, freedom, engagement, and innovation as critical determinants facilitating their journey towards self-actualization

Declaration: The Story of American Independence
Declaration uncovers the lesser-known stories, surprising twists, and forgotten voices behind the most iconic document in U.S. history.
Robert P. Watson delves into the complex and often misunderstood origins of the Declaration, revealing how a series of missteps by the British Crown, shifting colonial sentiments, and a convergence of enlightened thinkers led to a revolutionary moment that changed the course of history.
Drawing from a wealth of primary sources-including letters, diaries, newspapers, and diplomatic communiqués-Watson reconstructs the debates, drafts, and drama that surrounded the Declaration\u27s creation.
Complete with a unique look into the influence of women, enslaved individuals, and indigenous peoples, Declaration brings to light the diverse cast of characters and perspectives that shaped the American experiment. It explores the document\u27s philosophical roots, its political impact, and the enduring struggle to realize its lofty promises of liberty and equality.https://spiral.lynn.edu/facbooks/1086/thumbnail.jp
