Challenges of International Career for Teachers
People for different reasons need to travel abroad. They even travel to another country to work. However, people might experience culture schock due to new values and opinions they encounter in the new culture. It is not always easy to adapt a new environment for some people. Teachers, similarly might have the same problems once they enter in a new culture. Although teachers work abroad to develop their teaching experiences, different cultural values and a new education system they are exposed to in the new country might cause them some social problems. This paper focuses on what kind of problems those teachers who would like to work abroad encounter
Effect of Selected Plant Extracts on Malssezia Furfur in Culture
The affectivity of ethanol extracts of clove (Syzygium aromaticum ), curcumin (Curcuma longa), ginger (Zingiber officinale) and khat (Catha edulis) were examined against Malassizia furfur. Ethanol extracts were prepared as (10% W/V). The yeast was obtained from ptyriasis versicolor (PV) infections and Sabouraud's dextrose agar medium + olive oil was used to isolate the yeast from the skin scrapes. The results of triplicate tests showed no yeasts developed in clove's extract treatment. The activity of curcumin extract was less than the medicinal soap treatment which was used as positive control. While ginger and khat treatments affect on the visible colonies characteristics only but not on their abundance in culture plates. The MIC for the clove extract and medicinal soap was compared by series of dilutions (10,5,2.5,1.25,o.625) mg/ml. Clove represent antifungal activity till the end, while it was 1.25mg/ml in medicinal soap treatment
Synthesis, Characterization and Antibacterial Activity of Some Metal Complexes of Azo Guanosine and Adenosine Derivatives
A series of new coordination complexes of Cu(II), Co(II), Ni(II) with the azo nucleosides derived from the coupling reaction of guanosine and adenosine with substituted phenyl diazonium salts have been prepared .These metal complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, IR, UV-Visible,Conductivity measurement and magnetic susceptibility. It was found that the azo compounds behavesas N,N’-Bidentate donor ligand forming chelates with 1:1 (metal: ligand) stoichiometry. The ligands and
their metal complexes have been screened for their antibacterial activity against five species of pathogenic bacteria: Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus viridans, Proteus vulgaris, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Escherichia coli using Disc diffusion method. The activity data had shown that the metal complexes to be more potent antibacterial than the parent azo ligands against one or more bacterial species suggesting that metalation increase the antibacterial activity of those compounds
“Villain” Types in Maghtumguly Legends
The legends which are one of the examples of the oral narrative traditions of Turkmen literature, are the narrative stories that include the people related to the public beliefs, places and the events and that are believed to be the true by the audience. In the Turkmen literature, there are legends in different types not only talking about the persons, places (castles) and etc. but also telling of the stories of the historical personalities. The legends about the famous Turkmen poet Maghtumguly are one of those types. There are different studies conducted on the legends that are public narratives. One of these is typology studies, as well. In the literary texts, there are two main contrary types. Non-existence of one of those will make the existence of the other meaningless. One is the hero that is positive type (protagonist) and the other is negative enemy type (antagonist). In the literary works, there certainly exist one negative enemy type against the positive hero. These types can be classified as the hostile leading types, women types, deceitful types, close relatives and friend types. Analyzing the types in the literary works, it is provided to reveal out the cultural richness. In this context, it is analyzed the enemy types by examining the available legend texts about the famous Turkmen poet Maghtumguly
5G Next Generation Mobile Wireless Technology with Massive MIMO Continue 4G Revolution, Key Technologies and Challenges
Mobile telecommunication system has grown very fast by motivating the companies to plan continuously and work from first generation until fourth generation, many companies in this field planned and started their scenarios toward fifth generation (5G) mobile, this is because of the need of higher data rate transmission and wireless system radio network, many challenges expected will be problem during this project, this paper is an attempt to contribute in this field to give more details about these challenges and then toward overcome these problems in order to give continuous working according to the time table planned which is about 2020 and beyond
Preparing Teachers for Fair and Equitable Treatment of Diverse Groups of Students: The First Step to Human Rights Education
Education has always been a fundamental right all children are entitled to. The provision of educational opportunities is a central means of advancing awareness of universal aspirations for diversity, tolerance and human rights. Growth and Oil Price Fluctuation in Nigeria: A Variance Decomposition Evidence
This study examines the impact of oil price shocks on economic growth rate in Nigeria using the impulse response functions and forecast error variance decomposition on quarterly data from 2000 to 2016. This study finds that fluctuations in oil prices cause swings in GDP growth rate in Nigeria. The fluctuation in oil prices also depreciates Naira exchange rate. The country should branch out its revenue sources to shield the dangle effect of the fluctuation in prices of oil
The Effectiveness of Pedagogical Code Switching and Learner’s Language Attitude on EFL Learner’s Learning Outcomes
The aim of this study was to know the effectiveness of pedagogical code switching (CS) and learner’s language attitude on EFL learner’s learning outcomes. This study was carried out at State Junior High School 23 of Malang, East Java. A quasi experimental design was used in this study. To this end, 68 students of 230 were randomly selected. The instruments used in this study were English tasks which required the students to answer in English and language attitude scale. The findings of this study revealed that (1) there was a significant difference between the students who were given pedagogical CS and those who were not given pedagogical CS on EFL learner’s learning outcomes (P=.001<.05), (2) there was a significant correlation between language attitude and EFL learner’s learning outcomes (r=.253; P=.038<.05), and (3) there was an interaction between pedagogical CS student’s language attitude on EFL learner’s learning outcomes (F=2.76; P=.027<.05). And determinant coefficient showed that 17.5% contributed to the EFL learner’s learning outcomes
Cytogenetic Study among Chemical Bombardment Survivors in Shekh Wasan & Balisan Valley Kurdistan Region-Iraq
This study was performed randomly on 40 individuals selected within a specific period, between January 2014 to October 2014 in order to a certain whether or not a sample of chemical weapons used on Shekh Wasan & Balisan valley in 16 April 1987, have incurred genetic damage. The following results were obtained:
The chromosomal aberration is a very sensitive and widely applied assay used as a bio indicator of genetic damage induced by an environmental agent or clastogen. In current study a group of (40) chemical bombardment survivors there were (15) individuals have different types of chromosome aberrations, including (ring chromosome %52.5, dicentric chromosome %30, chromosome break with fragment %57.5, chromatid interchange (quadriradial) %27.5, chromatid interchange (triradial) %27.5
