    p. 1756-1761We propose in this paper to establish a well-defined relationship between αDFA (the long range auto-correlation exponent) and λDCCA (the long range cross-correlation exponent), respectively described by the DFA and DCCA methods. This relationship will be accomplished theoretically by differentiating the DCCA cross-correlation coefficient, ρDCCA(n).     Vivencia-se uma consolidação crescente em progressões geométricas, não só da convergência digital, mas também da criação de conteúdos totalmente já digitalizados. No entanto, grande parte dessas informações disponíveis na Web mantém como característica principal a interpretação do seu conteúdo direcionada a pessoas e não a programas de computador. Neste contexto, a construção de ontologias pode ser vista como um passo importante de evolução na específicacão de conhecimento. Por isso, muitos estudos são realizados acerca da referida construção e sua estrutura. Todavia, os estudos encontrados não apresentam um modelo computacional que associe as técnicas de mineração de textos e gestão do conhecimento para construir uma lista de termos candidatos para auxiliar no processo de construção de ontologias de domínio a partir dos resultados da aplicação destas técnicas. Diante disso, e com base nos estudos realizados, o problema estudado nessa disserta ção visa diminuir a intervenção manual e a dependência de especialistas do domínio na construção de ontologias de domínio unindo mineração de texto e gestão do conhecimento. Dentro desse contexto, o objetivo desse trabalho é projetar um modelo para eleição de termos candidatos para auxiliar no processo de construção de ontologias de domínio a partir dos resultados das técnicas de mineração de textos aplicadas a uma dada amostra de documentos científicos não estruturados do domínio selecionado pelo usuário. O modelo proposto tem como finalidade subsidiar a diminuição da interven ção manual e da dependência de especialistas do domínio no processo de construção de ontologias. Apesar do modelo construir uma lista de termos candidatos e não construir ontologias, os termos candidatos podem auxiliar no melhor mapeamento do domínio e na consequente construção de novas ontologias, ou seja, o modelo proposto pode colaborar na construção de bases ontológicas, e consequentemente, no seu aumento

    p. 6079-6083Westudy the X-ray intensities of 142 light curves of cataclysmic variables, galaxies, pulsars, supernova remnants and other X-ray sources present in the public data collected by the instrument All Sky Monitor on board the satellite Rossi X-ray Timing Explorer. We show that the X-ray light curves coming from astrophysical systems obey Tsallis’s q-Gaussian distribution as probability density. This fact strongly suggests that these astrophysical systems behave in a non-extensive manner. Furthermore, the q entropic indices for these systems were obtained and they provide an indication of the nonextensivity degree of each of these astrophysical systems. The q-value increases for systems if the Tsallis entropy decreases.Amsterda

The objective of this study was to review the conceptual contributions of several studies regarding Organizational Learning and Records Management and to highlight the importance of knowledge records as an advanced management technique for the development and attainment of innovation. Nevertheless, few studies present a discussion on networks in which the basic element is a clique. In this paper, we propose an approach based on a network of cliques. This approach consists not only of a set of new indices to capture the properties of a network of cliques but also of a method to characterize complex networks of cliques (i.e., some of the parameters are proposed to characterize the small-world phenomenon in networks of cliques).     p. 97-110This paper aims to propose improvements to the process of dimensional management that is currently practiced in a Brazilian vehicle manufacturing plant. A review of the Dimensional Management for the Product Development enabled us to propose a construct of work practices that are designated to be inserted into the product development of the plant. A critical analysis was subsequently performed in a sample of dimensional nonconformities that occurred late in the product development phases. To avoid that nonconformities, a set of dimensional management practices for the plant was established in accordance with the construct. The proposed practices cover the whole process of new product development. The paper explains how a set of work practices was established for two identified process failures in detail for better illustration of the proposed methodology. It is supposed that the implementation of the new set of practices has supported the product development team to develop better vehicle quality and reduce the costs and cycle timing.Belo Horizonte / M

    p.6881-6886This article aims to demonstrate a computer simulation that describes the operation of a system geared to liquefaction of inputs processed in the petrochemical industry through a cooling system that operates in cascade with one of the cryogenic circuits loaded with carbon dioxide (CO2) The idea of carrying one of the cryogenic circuits with CO 2 was motivated by the large potential availability of this gas in Brazil in the coming years, due to the discovery of large oil reserves located in the pre-salt layer. In this layer, CO 2 is combined with natural gas, also quite abundant, which led us to choose the gas itself for the liquefying process. The concept of energy balance in thermodynamic cycles was adopted, applying the 1st Law of Thermodynamics for Control Volumes to obtain performance results that can meet the operating conditions imposed and enable the operation of the equipment modeled in this article. The modeling and dimensioning of the system were made by using the software EES (Engineering Equation Solver), while the COP circuit was emphasized for evaluation of the system performance emphasize.Ribeirão Pret

    p.41-45The rapid prototyping biomodels manufacturing is a recent technology with great importance in oral and maxillofacial surgery. It provides a better surgical planning, decrease of anesthesia time and great functional and esthetic results. The aim of this experimental study was to evaluate the accuracy of rapid prototyping biomodels built by three-dimensional printing (3DP) technique, since this is one of the least expensive methods available. Linear measurements of standard-ized bone defects and anatomic distances were compared using a digital caliper of high precision in nine dry mandibles (gold standard) and their respective biomodels. The Bland-Altman test was used for statistical analysis (5% level of significance). The results showed strong concordance between the dry mandibles and their respective biomodels, with discrepancies smaller than 2 mm in most cases (97.4%). We can conclude that the biomodels built by 3DP technique can be used for surgical planning in Dentistry

    Desenvolvimento de um método para avaliar a competitividade do gás natural nos setores residencial e comercial

    A atual crise energética mundial, quanto à forte dependência do petróleo e aos insatisfatórios investimentos em fontes renováveis e não poluentes, tem levado ao aumento significativo do consumo do Gás Natural (GN), pois seus reservatórios estão em abundância e é o combustível fóssil de menor impacto ambiental. Porém, no Brasil, o GN ainda encontra dificuldades de inserção nos setores residencial e comercial, devido, entre outros motivos, à falta de estudos técnicos e oficiais sobre comparação econômica entre energéticos, que considera todos os fatores que implicam no custo final para o consumidor. Assim, este trabalho teve como objetivo desenvolver um método de avaliação da competitividade do GN, em relação aos seus principais concorrentes, para todas as aplicações dos citados setores. Para isso, foi proposto um método comparativo capaz de determinar o energético mais competitivo, através do cálculo do custo total de cada opção energética, para atender as demandas do consumidor, considerando fatores como: preço, poder calorífico, tipo de equipamento utilizado, eficiência dos equipamentos e custos de operação e manutenção. Os resultados mostraram que o GN é o energético mais competitivo para todas as aplicações dos setores avaliados. Os equipamentos a GN obtiveram os menores custos totais para o consumidor, com mais de 40% de economia, em média, em relação aos outros energéticos. Para a cocção de alimentos, a economia do GN variou de 17,4% a 53,8%; para o aquecimento de água, de 25,3% a 57,5%; e para a climatização, de 28,2% a 62,0%
