Lexicon of Migrating Ideas in the Slavic Balkans (18th–21st c.). Vol. 9: Agrarianism, Anarchism, and Socialism
Całości nadana została forma leksykonu, którego główny korpus składa się z haseł-artykułów na temat historii 27 wybranych idei najpierw antycypujących, a następnie modelujących procesy modernizacyjne w regionie: agraryzm, anarchizm, ewolucja, humanizm, historia, kapitalizm, klerykalizacja, konfesje, konserwatyzm, kształcenie, kultura, liberalizm, naród, nowoczesność, ojczyzna, oświata, oświecenie, polityka, postęp, racjonalizm, reformacja, religia, rewolucja, sekularyzacja, socjalizm, tradycja, uniwersalizm. The ninth volume of the extensive (ten-volume) monograph by Polish Slavic studies scholars (with contributions from scholars from a number of foreign research centres), made possible by an NCN OPUS grant (2014/13/B/HS2/01057). In terms of form, the monograph is a lexicon, the main body of which consists of entries-articles on the history of 27 selected ideas that anticipated and shaped the processes of modernization in the region: agrarianism, anarchism, capitalism, clericalization, confessions, conservatism, culture, education, enlightenment, evolution, history, homeland, humanism, liberalism, modernity, nation, politics, progress, rationalism, reformation, religion, revolution, schooling, secularization, socialism, tradition, and universalism. Their semantics, change able as it was in response to local conditions, was investigated separately for each of the seven current states of the southern Slavdom: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, and Slovenia. Volume 9 presents the three ideas – agrarianism, anarchism, and socialism – that are at the foundations of the European discourses of modernization and anti-modernization, of the European imaginary of the human intellectual condition as the key to the formation of societies. The book contains many synthetically expressed, original and source-based insights on the southern Slavic cultures’ struggles with modernity.Monografia powstała w ramach projektu badawczego pt. „Idee wędrowne na słowiańskich Bałkanach (XVIII–XX w.)”, sfinansowanego ze środków Narodowego Centrum Nauki (nr projektu 2014/13/B/HS2/01057).Leksykon idei wędrownych na słowiańskich Bałkanach, t. 9 (publikacja monografii naukowej) – zadanie finansowane w ramach umowy 703/P-DUN/2019 ze środków Ministra Nauki i Szkolnictwa Wyższego przeznaczonych na działalnoś

The True and Fake Names of Boris Godunov
This paper takes a new look at the “anthroponymical dossier” of Boris Godunov and his family. Insufficient familiarity with the structure of the Medieval Russian polyonymy (that is, the practice of using many names for the same person) has been known to lead not only to the introduction of redundant and never-existing people to research papers, but also to real people taking redundant, imaginary names, which they did not and often could not have taken in reality. This paper takes a look at both the names the tsar had, without a doubt, and the names under which he existed in previous research (Boris, Bogolep, Iakov, Bogdan, Theodot). Special attention is given to the personal patron saints’ cult in Godunov’s family, mostly to St. Theodotus. Some problems of attribution and dating of several artifacts are raised
The article explores the specific qualities of the employment of nouns in the dative case singular in Ivan Franko’s poetry books. It displays the changing dynamics in accordance with the year of book publications. In addition to it the article reveals the alternative forms which the poet employs for several reasons: the absence of definite forms at that time, regional impact and demands in poetry versification. Barely lifetime collections of Ivan Franko’s poetry are taken into consideration, namely “Z vershyn i nyzyn”, (1887,1893), “Ziviale lystia”(1896,1911), “Mii izmarahd” (1898), “Davnie i nove” (1911), “Iz dniv Zhurby” (1900), “Semper tiro” (1906). It allows to perceive Kameniar not only as a creator of literature but also as a founder of a literary language. The article emphasizes on the topicality of the scientific research since morphological peculiarities of the noun forms reflect the epoch of the establishment of the Ukrainian literary language at the end of the 19th –beginning of the 20th century

Herta Müller — pisarka z obrzeży w przekładzie na język czeski
This paper entitled is devoted to the peripheral nature of Herta Müller’s
oeuvre. Müller is regarded as a person who created “German-language literature from the
cultural periphery of the German linguistic area,” as the Italian Germanist Paola Bozzi
called it. It turns out that although the literature or anti-literature of the Germans of
Romania is located on the cultural periphery of the German language area, Herta Müller occupies a central place in German literature, mainly due to subject areas unknown to West-German readers, but also due to her extraordinary language, which is a conglomerate of her idiolect, the archaic character of the German language used, the Banat-Swabian dialect and word-images from the Romanian language. The research, which is carried out from a mental, expressive, and cultural perspective, also focuses on the issue of embedding translation in a polysystem that embraces translation as an interrelated system of culture, language, literature, and society
The political situation in Eastern Halychyna during its time as a member of the Austrian-Hungarian state was rather ambiguous. On the one hand, the Constitution guaranteed equal national rights to all nationalities in the state. Each subject of the state had the right to develop their nationality and mother tongue. However, Halychyna Ukrainians could not make use of this right because the Poles considered this territory as their own and tried in various ways to assimilate the Eastern Halychynians. In almost every field of public life, local Polish officials have introduced Polish as a government language. The local population could not obtain the rights for their language, so they had to apply to the central government in Vienna. The issues of Ukrainian language functioning in Eastern Halychyna have been repeatedly raised at the meetings of the Austrian Parliament. The Ukrainian ambassadors made submissions trying to justify the usage of two regional languages in Halychyna. In these submissions, the Ukrainians emphasized that they did not want to restrict the rights of the Polish language, but only demanded the possibility to use Ukrainian language in communication with the Ukrainian population in government offices and courts. The Ukrainian ambassadors argued, reminding in a historical retrospective of the continuous development of the Ukrainian language, being used in ancient Poland and being a government language at the time when Halychyna was a part of other state entities, including Lithuania. The Polish ambassadors of Halychyna were in opposition to this desire. They invented various arguments, emphasizing that the official language in Halychyna was only Polish, and the introduction of two regional languages into government would not bring any advantages to the region as well as the Austrian state

On the Necessity of a Multiple-viewpoint Analysis of Aspectual Opposition
In the first part of the paper, the aspectual opposition of the Russian verb is analyzed both as a privative and as an equipollent opposition, taking into account two different levels of approach: an abstract approach of the semantic invariant and a specific relation to contextual meanings. On this basis, the types of cases of the so-called strong and weak opposition are explained, as well as the trivial positions of aspects. In the second part special attention is given to the peculiarities of the basic semantic types of aspectual pairs that have arisen under the influence the verbal lexical meaning character. According to the conception put up by the author, the types distinguished are 1) telic/boundedpairs, 2) pairs with relative boundary of the perfective action, 3) trivial pairs, 4) pairs with perfective meaning, 5) pairs with multiplicative-semelfactive relation and 6) delimitative pairs
