Мусульманские проповеди на русском языке: коммуникативно-прагматический аспект

    No full text

In the article we aim to: analyze the main works, studies of famous Belarusian scientists in the field of anthroponymy (M. Birillo, Y. Gurskaya, G. Mezenko, A. Rogalev, G. Ustinovich, V. Shur); show approaches to the study of the units of the onomastic class of anthroponyms; identify the problem of onomastic units, the analysis of which did not find a detailed description and was left without the attention of researchers. The article uses units that are derived from ethnonyms – the names of peoples, tribes, tribal units, clans, which are recorded in Belarusian dialects. There is no special study in Belarusian linguistics devoted to a thorough analysis of ethnonymic entities – ethno-anthroponims with a basis сossack, lyakh, mozur, belarusian, czech, french. It is necessary to emphasize the connection between anthroponyms and place names. Anthroponyms – the names of tribal leaders become the basis for the names of tribes or even peoples, which in turn often become the basis of geographical names. On the other hand, toponyms participate in the formation of ethnonyms and anthroponyms. Ethnonyms in the Belarusian dialects contain valuable information about the population of the country; therefore, special study of ethno-anthroponyms is needed in areas where complex and diverse ethnogenetic processes took place for a long time, in which many related and unrelated peoples took part. The analyzed works contain a wealth of scientific and practical experience of Belarusian researchers, they are of great scientific value and make it possible, on the basis of what was done, to analyze more deeply those units that did not find a detailed description, draw up their classification, show the functioning of some units in the dialects of Belarus, reveal the areas of their distribution. We analyzed about 20 scientific papers containing the scientific and practical experience of well-known Belarusian researchers of onomastics. Of course, the review is not complete. It is very difficult to list all the publications related to the study of anthroponyms and ethno-surnames functioning in the dialects of modern Belarus

The article focuses on the tendencies description of the comparative and superlative forms in modern Ukrainian based on the dictionary compiled by A. Neliuba, Ye. Redko Word-Formation in Independent Ukraine. 2012–2016 (2017). The formation models favour the reinterpretation, enlarge the semantic structure of the initial words from qualitative adjectives, which nominate non-grade characteristics, from relative, compound adjectives, from nouns with the omission of the adjectivity stage, the inclination to the synthetic forms. These formation models are marked with regularity. The need to codify the correspondent tendencies, taking into account the regularity of reproduction in the Ukrainian language grammar books sources has been argumented, as well as the need to fi xate and interpret new semantic shades in lexico-graphic sources

In the article paroemia is considered as a language sign marked with a special connection of the form and the content that generally is looked upon as a means to preserve, achieve, process and give the information. Proverb semantics is motivated through its formal structure that is originating a meaningful content of the utterance. On the one hand, the proverb meaning is affected by the constituents semantics that generate a surface content, and on the other, in most cases the structural components may be altered both cognitively and conceptually that generally evokes quite a different depth sense

With the help of the analysis of the degrees of preposition, their expression is differentiated by the qualification of the following degrees: 1) proper prepositions, 2) words used in the meaning of the preposition, 3) words that implement the function of the preposition, 4) words that appear as prepositions by analogy, and 5) words, taken occasionally, as the prepositions

“Russian author” in 1739: Gottlieb Bayer, Ivan Taubert and the First Steps of Russian School Literary Canon

In the 1730s, the administration of the St. Petersburg Academy of Sciences redesigned the program of study at the Academy’s gymnasium. Their goal was to create an institution capable of preparing specialists not only for the Academy itself, but also for the civil service, which required people educated in both Russian and German. The regulation (reglament) developed by Georg Krafft in 1739, besides preserving the previous division of the gymnasium into Latin and German departments, redesigned the instruction offered by the German department to form a full curriculum, in which Russian-style instruction was as important as mastering the German language. This visionary project put together classes in which pupils whose native language was Russian would study in the same classroom as students whose native language was German, which led the Academy to develop a corpus of bilingual (German/Russian) textbooks. A key element of the syllabus was the study of “a Russian author” (analogous to the well-developed system of “reading authors” in European Latin schools), the first time this method had been introduced in a Russian school. Gottlieb Siegfried Bayer’s “Azov History” (Begebenheiten von Azow, 1736–37), translated into Russian by Ivan Taubert (1737), was chosen as the set text. The whole syllabus provided by Krafft’s 1739 gymnasium regulation, as well as the book-selling practice of the Academy in the early 1740s, makes it clear that the selection of Bayer's book was not coincidental — it corresponded well to the Russian reading public's ideas about proper verbal composition. The marginal status of verse (poetry) in this structure, combined with the actors’ attention to questions of style, provide the basis for a new narrative for Russian literary history of the 1730s, centered around the collective work of the translators of the under-studied Russian Society (Rossijskoe sobranie), established in 1735. Such a narrative would consider the whole catalogue of books published by the Academy, whether in Russian or in other languages

A Byzantine Epistle on Bishop Ordination and its Text History in Russia in the 13th–14th Centuries

The East Slavic copies of Nomocanon contain two unidentified fragments presented as commentaries on the Council of Constantinople's decree regarding the fourth marriage of Emperor Leo VI the Wise and on Canon 71 of the Council of Carthage. Both fragments address ordination of bishops and their translation between sees. The research suggests that the fragments come from the same source and were translated from Greek. The manuscript tradition and some features of the text indicate a Bulgarian origin of the translation. Probably the source was a non-extant decree by the Council of Constantinople from the first half of the 13th century expanded by a Slavonic scribe. This work came to the Kiev Metropolis together with Nomocanon in 1262 and attracted constant attention and editing at the end of the 13th and in the 14th centuries. Its variants were included into two church legal miscellanea: Merilo Pravednoye and Blasphemia. Additions by Russian scribes gave different interpretations to the text. Thus, the editor of Merilo Pravednoye turned it into a sermon on bishops’ duties, whereas the author of Blasphemia limited the authority of bishops by excluding a permission to move to another see. The Supplements include the texts in question as found in the three earliest church legal compilations: Nomocanon, Merilo Pravednoye and Blasphemia

The object of the analysis is the so-called Szczecin episode in its many variants. The episode plays a significant role in interpreting the novel Too Loud a Solitude, the Czech version of which is a source text for a number of foreign translations. As such, the episode creates space for specific translation operations that are possible in some languages (e.g. Polish and German), while impossible in other
