The project "Empowering Girls Through Football: A Real-Life Learning Environment for Children's Health and Social Inclusion" serves as the foundation for this master's thesis. The project is a collaboration between the Federal University of Paraná in Brazil (UFPR) and Western Norway University of Applied Sciences (HVL). The purpose of this master's thesis is to explore the interactions on the football field between the girls on the team FutDelas and their coaches. Through a qualitative approach based on participant observation, I examine the research question: What characterizes the interactions between the girls, the coaches, and the environment on the football field, and what insights can these interactions provide? The thesis focuses on central themes, including social dynamics, interactions, communication, and relationships, within the observed football field. The research is driven by theories that explore the interactions and their consequences for the girls' social relations. Among the relevant theories are phenomenology, embodied affectivity, and insights into the intricate connection between the body and life experiences. Additionally, power dynamics and concepts related to habitus and cultural capital are addressed. The findings of the thesis are based on situational descriptions from field notes, highlighting the various dynamics and characteristics of the interactions between the girls, the coaches, and the social environment on the football field. The discussion connects these findings With theory, where central themes that emerge from the analysis provide insights into how interactions on the field impact the girls' development and experiences within the football environment. In the conclusion, it becomes clear how the football field functions as a vibrant social environment characterized by social dynamics, rooted in individuals' life worlds and interactions. The significance of these interactions is central to promoting personal and athletic development, as well as a social sphere and self-empowerment for young female football players living in Curitiba, BrazilMIDR55
