No full textPurpose The aim of this guideline was to find evidence on whether carrying out Doppler examinations and CTGs in low-risk cohorts of pregnant women improves outcomes. Methods First, a systematic search for guidelines was carried out. Identified guidelines were evaluated using the DELPHI instrument of the AWMF. Three guidelines were found to be suitable to evaluate CTG. Two DEGUM best practice guidelines were judged suitable to describe the methods. All studies on this issue were additionally analyzed using 8 PICO questions. A structured consensus of the participating professional societies was achieved using a nominal group process and a structured consensus conference moderated by an independent moderator.
Recommendations No antepartum Doppler sonography examinations should be carried out in low-risk cohorts in the context of antenatal care. No antepartum CTG should be carried out in low-risk cohorts.

Forms of Knowledge Transfer in IT Project Management
No full textThis qualitative research study explores the experiences of project managers in IT projects, using an investigative approach to explore the intricacies of knowledge transfer in these contexts. The research framework emphasizes the complexity of social dynamics and the need for a deeper understanding, prompting the use of qualitative methods. Expert interviews were chosen as the primary data collection technique due to their alignment with the research objectives. The study adopts an exploratory perspective, with online interviews conducted using a co-expert approach. The philosophical stance of the study is based on phenomenalist principles and aims to gain insights into the personal experiences of project managers. The experts selected for the study met specific criteria, including certification and experience in IT project management. Thematic analysis revealed key categories: Forms of knowledge transfer, challenges, and opportunities. Personalized spontaneous knowledge transfer emerged as the dominant form, facilitated by informal interactions, and efforts to codify this knowledge in a documented form were observed. Challenges included issues of quantity, distribution, team dynamics, technology platforms, organizational culture, and time constraints. Successful knowledge transfer was associated with increased efficiency, improved quality, faster project completion, and continuous improvement of methods and standards. The study suggests that project-based organizations should develop strategies to improve knowledge transfer, incorporate it into project management standards and focus on facilitating effective communication between team members
Bond Wire Fatigue of Au, Cu, and PCC in Power LED Packages
No full textBond wire failure, primarily wire neck breakage, in power LED devices due to thermomechanical fatigue is one of the main reliability issues in power LED devices. Currently, the standard testing methods to evaluate the device’s lifetime involve time-consuming thermal cycling or thermal shock tests. While numerical or simulation methods are used as convenient and quick alternatives, obtaining data from material lifetime models with accurate reliability and without experimental fatigue has proven challenging. To address this issue, a mechanical fatigue testing system was developed with the purpose of inducing mechanical stresses in the critical region of the bond wire connection above the ball bond. The aim was to accelerate fatigue cracks at this bottleneck, inducing a similar failure mode as observed during thermal tests. Experimental investigations were conducted on Au, Cu, and Pd-coated Cu bonding wires, each with a diameter of 25 µm, using both low- and high-frequency excitation. The lifetime of the wire bond obtained from these tests ranged from 100 to 1,000,000 cycles. This proposed testing method offers material lifetime data in a significantly shorter timeframe and requires minimal sample preparation. Additionally, finite element simulations were performed to quantify the stresses at the wire neck, facilitating comparisons to conventional testing methods, fatigue test results under various operating conditions, material models, and design evaluations of the fine wire bond reliability in LED and microelectronic packages.Open Access Publikationsfond FH Burgenlan

Local Political Parties in Austria during the COVID-19 Era: A Comparative Case Analysis
No full textThis article examines local political party organization of the SPÖ and its handling of the COVID-19 pandemic. The practices and initiatives adopted by local political, social, and democratic party groups in two Austrian regions, a rural town in Styria and an urban district in Vienna, during the COVID-19 pandemic were examined. Using Problem-centered interviews (PCI) and group discussions as instruments for data collection, it was investigated how these parties adapted their activities to maintain engagement and support from the population in the face of unprecedented challenges. The results showed that both parties transitioned to online formats for meetings and events. Measures such as telephone assistance for emotional support, projects to support local businesses, and social measures for those in financial need were introduced to meet the urgent needs of people in the communities. Despite some challenges such as fluctuating motivation, difficulties in maintaining online engagement, ICT competencies, and dealing with personal overload, local parties demonstrated resilience and adaptability during the crisis
