This study investigated the impact of brand personality on consumer engagement and loyalty within the Irish cosmetics industry, focusing on BPerfect Cosmetics. Drawing from Benali Amina’s (2019) quantitative study on the Algerian market, this research applied Aaker’s Brand Personality Framework to examine how brand traits—sincerity, excitement, competence, sophistication, and ruggedness—influenced consumer behaviour in Dublin. A structured survey was used to collect data from 100 respondents, and the data were analysed to explore the relationships between brand personality, consumer engagement, and loyalty. The findings revealed that sophistication and competence were key drivers of consumer loyalty, while excitement significantly enhanced consumer engagement. Additionally, digital marketing played a crucial role in reinforcing these brand traits, further influencing consumer perceptions and behaviours. By aligning their strategies with specific personality traits, brands like BPerfect were able to foster deeper consumer relationships and long-term loyalty in a competitive market. This study provided valuable insights for domestic brands in the Irish cosmetics sector, offering a framework to enhance brand strategies by leveraging these traits. The research contributed to a better understanding of how brand personality can be strategically utilized to improve consumer engagement and loyalty

This dissertation aims to demonstrate that Irish legal practice plays a pivotal role in collaboration with financial institutions in the fight against money laundering. The research employs a case study approach to examine how Irish legal firms manage anti-money laundering (AML) compliance, with particular attention paid to the relationship between such compliance and financial institutions and the impact of EU regulations. This research uses a qualitative approach, as it involves semi-structured interviews with senior lawyers from leading Irish law firms. The aim is to map their strategy, challenges, and best practices in AML compliance. The findings indicate that law firms are not merely enforcers of compliance regulations but active partners in reducing financial crime. This is achieved through advice, risk assessment, and regulatory guidance. The survey findings also identified significant challenges facing legal practice in the context of regulations. These include the tension between client confidentiality and the regulatory requirement for disclosure, the complexities of cross-border transactions, and the financial burden of maintaining compliance with anti-money laundering (AML) regulations. In response to these challenges, numerous firms have employed sophisticated technological tools, including AI-powered analytics, with the requisite coordination capabilities for use in financial institutions and with regulators to enhance AML work. The study suggests that ongoing planning, investment in technology, and developing collaborative frameworks are essential to advance these AML strategies in Ireland. This study will be invaluable in enhancing this practice of AML for law firms, policymakers, and regulators and in positioning Ireland as a safe financial destination. Consequently, further research is required on the localisation of anti-money laundering strategies in different countries and the impact of emerging technologies

The event of occurring gender stereotypes in fashion magazines during the last decades has questioned the way how the media portrays men and women. Therefore, the interest of this study lies in the question whether or not stereotypical portrayals of men and women in various fashion magazines have changed? After elaborating on previous findings on mass media, feminism and the representation of gender in contemporary media, the study will focus on two magazines, GQ and Cosmopolitan, and intends to reveal proceeding stereotypes or shifts. Within a time period of eight years, between 2015 and 2023, eight fashion magazine covers will be analysed through the method of a content analysis as proposed by Hansen and Machin (2019) and Rose (2016). Hence the study will reveal changes in the depiction of men and women in terms of the use of colours or the body poses of the models for example but it will also uncover that some stereotypes are still maintained or even reused today through the use of certain dress styles or themes. As a consequence, the implications of this research allow strong interferences about the fostering of gender stereotypes within western cultures.
