The Impact of Consumer Nationality and Age on Their Awareness and Perceptions of Irish Banks Involved in Carbon Emission Reduction Initiatives
Climate change, and carbon emissions as one of its causes are considered to be one of the major issues that companies must face today. Non-assessment of the negative impact of such a matter can, in time, jeopardize the continuity of businesses. This is not only because of the physical damage that they could generate but also due to the negative results that not acting towards climate change might have on customers of companies, leading to a loss of reputation that could deteriorate the company’s market position.
The purpose of this study is to examine the impact that the adoption of strategies by Financial institutions in Ireland have had so far on their customers, to determine how aware the customers are in regards to these actions, and how their financial performance was affected by examining their variation from the London market of shares and volumes.
The findings revealed that people are aware of this global issue and that nationality of customers makes a difference with regard to their level of awareness of activities towards sustainability and carbon emission reductions being adopted by Irish Banks
Maintaining Brand Reputation In Times Of The Covid-19 Pandemic
The importance of maintaining brand reputation is a central element within marketing management. Companies engage in developing a brand identity, which consumers perceive as a brand image. Therefore, brand reputation encompasses both the image held by consumers and the strategic goal of management. Decisions regarding the choice of appropriate marketing communication activities for establishing brand reputation involve orchestrating the marketing communication mix, allocating budgets, and designing brand messages. This process begins with considering consumer behavior, including the customer journey. The Covid-19 pandemic has significantly altered consumer behavior, thereby impacting the managerial task environment and decisions related to marketing communication policy.
Building on the theoretical foundation of brand reputation and marketing communication activities, an explorative study was conducted using qualitative polling of 15 managers from various industries. The study reveals a shift from offline to online use of marketing communication instruments during the Covid-19 pandemic. Reductions in marketing budgets were reported, and differences in management decisions based on company type were observed. Brand messages often addressed changes in consumer needs and the psychological situation of target groups, although these messages varied depending on the products and services offered. Agility, as a general behavioral characteristic of a company's internal organization, played a significant role during the pandemic. The pandemic period is also seen as a "wake-up call" for post-pandemic management
An Analysis of Drug Distribution and Medication Errors to Improve Pharmaceutical Services in Nigeria.
The problem of medication errors represents risks in public health with negative consequences on patient’s wellbeing. Globally, healthcare sectors face more challenges addressing the incidents of medication errors due to underlining factors such as severe funding shortfalls, low patient-physician ratio, inadequate infrastructure and low technological inputs amongst others. Given the foregoing, this study employed a qualitative research design aided with a key informant interview of seven public healthcare experts to examine the drug distribution and administration system of Nigeria's public healthcare setting. The primary data derived from public health experts with both theoretical and practical knowledge of Nigeria's public hospital settings were examined against the secondary data derived from the review of extant literature. The outcomes suggest that systemic problems such as the weak political will of the government to effectively fund its healthcare sector, low workers engagement, weak supervision, anemic enforcement, non-adherence to standard procedures, shortage of healthcare professionals (HCP), low patient awareness, poor organizational culture amongst others represent factors precipitating medication errors. To reverse these significant problems, the study made recommendations comprising the reimagining of the boards and the personnel administration of the hospitals to include individuals from the organized private sector, to enhance best practices and modern HRM practices. Others include the government should boost public funding for the sector, incentivize skilled and experienced HCPs to exercise better supervision, deploy automation to digitally safeguard the system, incentivize medical and nursing education to sustain recruitment pipeline, mandate periodic training for HCP, and the introduction of a mandatory patient awareness booklet to boost public awareness of what constitutes medication errors, the introduction of a mandatory clinical audit review of public hospitals to be conducted by a third party from the private sector, and reorganizing the governance boards of government administered to include non-bureaucrats and seasoned professionals. These are needed to greatly reduce the incident of medication errors in Nigeria's hospital settings

Why Practising Effective Journalism in Nigeria Is Challenging.
Journalism does not simply entail providing information. It is only after this happens that journalism is effective or has gotten the desired result. However, some challenges make it difficult for many journalists to practise effective journalism in Nigeria. The purpose of this study is to identify the factors that make it difficult to practise effective journalism in Nigeria and identify how these factors can be mitigated. This study is based on an interpretivist research paradigm. A qualitative research approach was adopted because this study required nuanced and detailed data to answer the research questions. Semi-structured interviews were used to collect data from the five participants who were chosen using purposive sampling. The participants were chosen because they have considerable experience working as journalists in Nigeria. The findings of the study are similar to the findings gotten from the literature review but are more complex and offer a different perspective. The findings show that inadequate remuneration and funding, brown-envelope journalism, censorship and lack of technological devices are common factors that may affect the ability of a journalist to practise effective journalism in Nigeria. Furthermore, while these factors are common, journalists who are just starting their career are likely to experience these. Lastly, improving the remuneration and allowances of journalists can help to reduce three of the four factors listed. However, the relationship between gender discrimination and effective journalism requires further research to ascertain if gender discrimination impedes effective journalism
