Innbetalt kapital - Skattefri tilbakebetaling
Aksjonærens plikter belyses i kapittel 3.
Does gender diversity on boards mitigate IPO underpricing? An analysis of the Norwegian market
Masteroppgave(MSc) in Master of Science in Finance - Handelshøyskolen BI, 2024This paper aims to contribute to the limited research on how female board members influence IPO underpricing. We use OLS regression to analyze a sample of 325 Norwegian IPOs from 2004 to 2023 and find that gender-diverse boards are 8.5 percentage points less underpriced than fully male boards. Additionally, going from a fully male board to a fully female board reduces underpricing with 18.5 percentage points. While our results are not statistically significant, they suggest that female directors are viewed as a quality signal by investors. The economic significance of our results underscores the importance of understanding gender balance in corporate boardrooms, particularly in relation to IPOs
Sustainable Investing in a Changing World: ESG Screening and Investor Priorities
Masteroppgave(MSc) in Master of Science in Business, Sustainable Finance - Handelshøyskolen BI, 2024This thesis investigates the potential for sustainable investing to enhance portfolio performance, focusing on the comparison between green and brown stocks. Through ESG screening, we investigate the impact of sustainability metrics on investment decisions, providing insights into evolving investor behavior. Our analysis indicates that responsible investors, who integrate ESG factors into their decision-making without making it the sole focus, achieve the highest Sharpe ratios, suggesting an optimal ESG integration level. This underscores the importance of a balanced approach in portfolio management, to optimize returns while maintaining sustainability goals. These findings are crucial for shaping investment strategies amidst increasing ESG prominence, emphasizing the need for careful ESG integration
The effect of regulations and crises in green bond returns: a study of the Greenium since 2018
Masteroppgave(MSc) in Master of Science in Sustainable Finance, Handelshøyskolen BI, 2024This study focuses on the analysis of the Greenium in the primary market of corporate green bonds since 2018, covering the COVID-19 pandemic and the on-going war in Ukraine. By performing regression analyses based on identified green-vanilla bond pairs with high resemblance, we find an overall Greenium of 8.9 bps throughout our sample period, which intensifies during the pandemic and disappears during the war, and is reflected through the lower relative coupon rates of green bonds. Besides, subset considerations show that different domiciles and sectors can be associated with different Greenium outcomes. Our findings suggest that regulation in isolation might not be enough to foster the green transition, as investors’ beliefs regarding such can have important implications for sustainable investments
§ 163 bokstav a.
AI in Job Search: An Exploratory Study of job seeker’s adoption of AI and its Implications for HR and Recruitment
Masteroppgave(MSc) in Master of Science in Leadership and Organizational Psychology - Handelshøyskolen BI, 2024Rapid advancement in artificial intelligence (AI) technologies is transforming how we apply for jobs. This study aims to explore the adoption of AI technologies among job seekers and identify factors influencing their use. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 112 participants through an online survey. This study employs the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology 2 (UTAUT2) model to measure AI adoption potential.
The results indicated that perceived employability and search intensity positively influence job seekers' intention to use AI-assisted job search tools, at the same time, algorithmic aversion was found to reduce it. Among the demographic factors, age, education, and career choice influence AI potential. This study contributes to the job search research by providing insights into the factors influencing AI adoption in the job search process. These insights are valuable to recruiters who want to optimise candidate matching efficiency and stay updated on a constantly technologically evolving job market. The findings can also serve job seekers as they try to adapt to the potential barriers that might prevent them from adopting new technologies.

Paradoxes, challenges, and opportunities in the context of ethical customer experience management
This article examines paradoxes, challenges, and opportunities in the context of ethical customer experience management. Central to this discussion are different stakeholders such as firms, customers, policymakers, regulators, and society at large, as well as key issues associated with them. Firms aim to design and manage compelling experiences using customer data but face challenges balancing cost, customization, ethical concerns, and fairness in customer experience management. Customers should be encouraged to reflect on whether to share personal information for customized experiences, as well as on how far their responsibility goes in ensuring critically informed decision-making. Policymakers and regulators must integrate the views of various stakeholders into policies and guidelines that promote a healthy society. Importantly, the digitization of customer experience has given rise to unprecedented ethical concerns related to the prospect of ‘programming’ these experiences. The shrinking temporal and spatial distance between stimuli, customer action, data footprint, and tracking poses significant reflections and dilemmas for both customers and firms. In this context, it is essential to determine ethical reflections and guidelines for customer experience design and management. We argue that firms should involve customers in assessing the implications of their experiences, while policymakers should facilitate the involvement of all stakeholders (including firms, customers, regulators, academics, and NGOs) to create an ongoing, healthy dialogue. This dialogue should guide a continuing debate aimed at evaluating the implications of specific actions in customer experience management.publishedVersio
Interoperable and Silo clearing: How do clearing setups affect collateral requirements and systemic risk?
Masteroppgave(MSc) in Master of Science in Business, Finance - Handelshøyskolen BI, 2024Clearing plays a crucial role in the post trade processing of cash equities trading. It not only ensures the timely and accurate settlement of securities but also serves as a risk mitigation tool for market participants. The European equities markets uses three primary clearing setups: silo, interoperable, and preferred. This thesis explores the differences between the interoperable and silo setups, focusing primarily on the implications for margin or collateral requirements and the impact on systemic risk. While our research does not establish a direct causality, it indicates that the silo setup generally underperforms in comparison to interoperable setups in terms of both the total margin requirements imposed on market participants and its impact on systemic risk
Non-parametric Regression Among Factor Scores: Motivation and Diagnostics for Nonlinear Structural Equation Models
We provide a framework for motivating and diagnosing the functional form in the structural part of nonlinear or linear structural equation models when the measurement model is a correctly specified linear confirmatory factor model. A mathematical population-based analysis provides asymptotic identification results for conditional expectations of a coordinate of an endogenous latent variable given exogenous and possibly other endogenous latent variables, and theoretically well-founded estimates of this conditional expectation are suggested. Simulation studies show that these estimators behave well compared to presently available alternatives. Practically, we recommend the estimator using Bartlett factor scores as input to classical non-parametric regression methods.publishedVersio
Problemstillingen for denne
tilnærming for å få innsikt i vår problemstilling. Denne metodiske tilnærmingen er
valgt for å oppnå både bred forståelse og dypere innsikt i temaet.
medier ekspert, en psykolog og to miljøeksperter.
Pro 17.
