    TEKSTİL SEKTÖRÜNDE CRITIC TEMELLİ COPRAS VE MABAC YÖNTEMLERİ İLE FİNANSAL PERFORMANS DEĞERLENDİRİLMESİ

    Today, due to the increasing competitive environment, financial performance analysis is very important for companies to maintain their existence. Therefore, the aim of this study is to determine the financial performance ranking of 26 companies in textile, apparel and leather sector whose shares are traded in Borsa Istanbul (BIST) in 2020-2023 by using four-year financial data obtained from the companies' financial statements and to interpret the financial performance ranking of these companies accordingly. Nine criteria commonly used in the literature were considered, the criteria were weighted by CRITIC method, one of the Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) methods, and the rankings of the companies according to their performance were obtained by using COPRAS and MABAC methods. As a result of the research, it was found that the first three and the last three rankings of the financial performance rankings of the companies were similar in terms of years. In addition, Spearman rank correlation test was used to determine whether there is similarity between the results obtained from COPRAS and MABAC methods and it was found that there is a strong correlation among all the years. Therefore, it is found that the rankings of companies according to their financial performance obtained using the COPRAS and MABAC methods are generally similar. Therefore, it is concluded that these two methods can be used interchangeably in determining the financial performance rankings of companies In addition, the COPRAS and MABAC methods were found to be effective and efficient evaluation methods for ranking companies in the textile sector according to their financial performance.Günümüzde rekabet ortamının giderek artması nedeniyle işletmelerin varlıklarını sürdürebilmesi için finansal performans analizi oldukça önemlidir. Bu nedenle bu araştırmada; 2020-2023 yıllarında hisse senetleri Borsa İstanbul (BIST)’de işlem gören tekstil, giyim eşyası ve deri sektöründeki 26 işletmenin mali tablolarından elde edilen dört yıllık finansal verileri kullanılarak, işletmelerin finansal performans sıralamalarının belirlenmesi ve buna bağlı olarak bu işletmelere yönelik finansal performans sıralamasının yorumlanması amaçlanmıştır. Literatürde yaygın olarak kullanılan dokuz kriter ele alınarak, Çok Kriterli Karar Verme (ÇKKV) yöntemlerinden CRITIC yöntemiyle kriterler ağırlıklandırılmış, COPRAS ve MABAC yöntemleri kullanılarak performanslarına göre işletmelerin sıralamaları elde edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda işletmelerin finansal performans sıralamalarının yıllar itibari ile ilk üç ve son üç sıralamalarının benzerlik gösterdiği belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca COPRAS ve MABAC yöntemlerinden elde edilen sonuçlar arasında benzerlik olup olmadığını belirlemek için Spearman sıra korelasyonu testi ile incelenmiş ve tüm yıllar arasında güçlü bir korelasyon olduğu ortaya çıkmıştır. Buradan COPRAS ve MABAC yöntemlerine göre elde edilen işletmelerin finansal performanslarına göre sıralamalarının genel olarak birbirine benzer olduğu belirlenmiştir. Bu nedenle söz edilen iki yöntemin, işletmelerin finansal performans sıralamalarının belirlenmesinde birbirlerinin yerine kullanabileceği sonucuna varılmıştır. Bunun yanı sıra, COPRAS ve MABAC yöntemlerinin tekstil sektöründeki işletmelerin finansal performanslarına göre sıralama belirlemede etkili ve verimli değerlendirme yöntemleri olduğu belirlenmiştir

    Development of an artificial intelligence-based cooling load map for buses in Türkiye

    Accurate calculation of air-conditioning cooling load is a prerequisite for optimal design of vehicle airconditioning systems. This study aims to develop a monthly average bus cooling load map for T & uuml;rkiye using an artificial neural network (ANN) approach. For this purpose, the Radiant Time Series (RTS) method recommended by ASHRAE was used as the cooling load calculation method. The cooling load values obtained for all 81 cities of T & uuml;rkiye then utilized to train the ANN model, and a cooling load map was created that allows for the determination of the cooling load value for buses across the country. A comparison of the results from the RTS and ANN methods revealed high similarity, with Adana showing the highest cooling load and Ardahan the lowest in both models. The difference between maximum cooling load values from RTS and ANN ranged from 13.4% to 8.8% across test cities. Ultimately, the ANN approach offers a rapid and reliable means of calculating bus cooling loads, allowing for predictive adjustments to air-conditioning systems and potential energy savings

    Bu çalışma, tüketicilerin sürdürülebilir tüketim davranışlarını alanındaki mevcut literatürü gözden geçirmekte olup gelecekteki araştırmalar için bir yol gösterici olmayı amaçlamaktadır. Sürdürülebilir tüketim kavramının kökenine odaklanarak alanın tarihsel gelişimini, temel tanımlarını ve ilgili kavramları incelemektedir. 1996-2024 yılları arasında geniş bir veri tabını taranmış ve gözden geçirilmiştir. Sürdürülebilir tüketim davranışı ile ilgili makaleler seçilerek literatürün derinlemesine incelenmesi amacıyla belirlenen çeşitli kriterlere göre sınıflandırılmıştır. Çalışma, tüketicilerin sürdürülebilir tüketim davranışları alanındaki mevcut durumu analiz ettikten sonra, gelecekte yapılacak olan araştırmalara geniş bir bilgi ve öneri sunmaktadır. Bu bilgiler, sürdürülebilir tüketim alanına önemli katkılar sağlaması için araştırmacılara rehber niteliğinde bir kaynak olmayı hedeflemektedir. Ayrıca, sürdürülebilir tüketim davranışlarıyla ilgili yapılan yayınların Birleşmiş Milletler Sürdürülebilir Kalkınma Hedefleri (SKH) ile olan ilişkisi analiz edilmiş ve hangi hedef kapsamında daha fazla çalışma yapıldığı belirlenmiştir

    Room-temperature mechanochemical synthesis of SiC-based ceramic powders

    Silicon carbide (SiC) is a versatile ceramic material widely used in electronics, materials science, automotive, and aerospace industries due to its exceptional thermal, mechanical, and electronic properties. However, conventional synthesis routes typically require high temperatures and extended processing times. In this study, SiC based ceramic composite powders were successfully synthesized from a Si–V2O5–C–Mg quaternary initial powders using by high-energy milling followed by a purification process. The synthesis was systematically examined by varying the initial powder compositions and milling durations. Notably, a complete reaction was achieved within just15 min by a high-energy milling, highlighting the efficiency of the mechanochemical approach. A purification process was applied to remove the by-products. Thermochemical calculations were conducted to elucidate reaction mechanisms. XRD and FTIR analyses confirmed that the synthesized and purified powders primarily consisted of SiC, VSi2, V5Si3, and a minor amount of unreacted silicon, with an average crystallite size of approximately 55 nm. Microstructural evolution throughout the synthesis stages was investigated using SEM/EDS, while TEM/EDS studies revealed an average particle size of 180 nm. Additionally, the optical properties of the resultant powders were evaluated using UV–Vis and PL spectroscopy. © 2025 Elsevier Ltd and Techna Group S.r.l

    Non-Destructive chlorophyll meters: a comparison of three types of meters for grain yield estimation of durum wheat under semi-arid environments

    Optimizing management practices to maximize crop yield and efficiency necessitates real-time monitoring of plant growth throughout the growing season. Utilizing spectral indices, such as normalized difference vegetation index, SPAD chlorophyll meter readings, and the CM-1000 chlorophyll meter, can provide quantitative data to aid in making informed management decisions. This study investigated the relationships between spectral indices (NDVI, SPAD, CM-1000) and grain yield in five durum wheat genotypes under semi-arid conditions. Spectral indices were taken at three growth stages: heading, anthesis, and maturity. Our findings revealed significant variations in spectral reflectance values among the genotypes and across growth stages. NDVI values were highest during the early growth stages and declined towards maturity. SPAD values also exhibited a similar trend, peaking at heading and anthesis. Chlorophyll content, as measured by SPAD readings, varied across growth stages, with different genotypes exhibiting peak chlorophyll content at different times. CM-1000 measurements showed significant differences among genotypes at all stages, with 'Fırat 93' and 'Hasanbey' generally exhibiting higher chlorophyll content. Correlation analysis revealed significant positive relationships between NDVI values at different stages, as well as between CM-1000 measurements and grain yield. Conversely, SPAD values showed a negative correlation with grain yield. These findings suggest that CM-1000 measurements could be a valuable tool for selecting high-yielding durum wheat genotypes under semi-arid conditions

    In this study, the bioactive properties of Ganoderma adspersum, a wood-decaying mushroom, were investigated. The study was designed in three steps: an experimental study, optimization of extraction conditions, and determination of bioactive properties of the optimum extracts. The main research problem was to determine the most effective extraction conditions to maximize the bioactive potential of G. adspersum using advanced optimization techniques. The extraction conditions were designed according to the I-optimal design and optimized using both the response surface method and the integration of artificial neural networks-ant lion algorithm. In the third step of the study, the bioactive properties of the two estimated extraction conditions and the extraction condition providing the highest total antioxidant status value obtained from the experimental studies were evaluated. Antioxidant activity, total phenolic and flavonoid content, antimicrobial properties, anticholinesterase activity, and phenolic content of three different optimum extracts were determined.     The effect of organizational communication on organizational commitment and job satisfaction

    Bu çalışma örgütsel iletişimin iş tatmini ve örgütsel bağlılık üzerindeki etkisini incelemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Araştırma Adana İli sınırları içerisinde bulunan hizmet sektöründe çalışan bireyleri kapsayan bir örneklem üzerinde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Basit örneklem yöntemi kullanılarak yüz yüze ve çevrim içi (online) olmak üzere anketler yardımıyla 429 kişinin katılımıyla veriler toplanmıştır. Anket içerisinde kişilerin demografik durumlarına yönelik sorular ile örgütsel iletişim, iş tatmini ve örgütsel bağlılık görüşlerine ilişkin bilgiler yer almaktadır. Elde edilen veriler SPSS ve AMOS istatistik programları ile analiz edilmiştir. Analiz yöntemi olarak yapısal eşitlik modeli kullanılmıştır. Yapılan analizler neticesinde örgütsel iletişimin iş tatminini ve örgütsel bağlılığı pozitif yönde ve anlamlı olarak etkilediği görülmüş, aynı zamanda örgütsel iletişim ile örgütsel bağlılık arasındaki ilişkide iş tatmininin tam bir aracılık etkisinin olduğu görülmüştür.This study aims to examine the effect of organizational communication on job satisfaction and organizational commitment. The research was conducted on a sample of individuals working in the service sector within the borders of Adana Province. Using simple sampling method, data were collected with the participation of 429 people with the help of face-to-face and online questionnaires. The questionnaire included questions about the demographic status of the individuals and information about their views on organizational communication, job satisfaction and organizational commitment. The data obtained were analyzed with SPSS and AMOS statistical programs. Structural equation modeling was used as the analysis method. As a result of the analysis, it was seen that organizational communication positively and significantly affects job satisfaction and organizational commitment, and at the same time, it was seen that job satisfaction has a full mediation effect in the relationship between organizational communication and organizational commitmen

    Analysis of hydrogen production using wind energy for a specified region

    Ülkemiz açısından önemli bir konuma sahip olan enerji ve fosil kaynaklar gelişen teknoliji ile gün geçtikçe yarış haline girmişlerdir. Yenilenebilir enerji kaynaklarının temiz olması, sürdürülebilir olması, yerli kaynaklar oldukları için ülkenin dışa bağımlılığının azalması ile istihdamın artmasına katkı sağlıyor olmaları fosil yakıtlar karşısında önemli ve sağlam bir yer edinmelerini oldukça kolaylaştırmaktadır. Özellikle rüzgar enerjisi gibi yeşil ve atıksız bir enerji potansiyeline sahip olan yenilenebilir enerji alanındaki çalışma, araştırma ve yatırımlar hızla artmaktadır. Bu çalışmada Osmaniye ili sınırları içerisinde belirlenen bir bölgenin 2015 yılı rüzgar verileri ile rüzgar enerjisi potansiyeli ele alınarak varılan sonuçlardan belirlenen bölge için hidrojen eldesinin hangi aşamalardan geçerek üretildiğini, kullanılan yöntem ve tüm sürecin nasıl ilerlediğinden bahsedilmiştir. Üç farklı rüzgar türbini, dört farklı çalışma saati ve üç farklı PEM elektrolizör ile rüzgar enerjisinden hidrojen eldesi farklı senaryolar oluşturularak incelenmiştir.Energy and fossil resources, which hold significant importance for our country, have been in an increasing competition with advancing technology. Renewable energy sources are becoming significantly prominent against fossil fuels due to their cleanliness, sustainability, contribution to reducing the country's dependency on foreign resources, and their potential to increase employment. Especially in the field of renewable energy, which possesses green and waste-free energy potential such as wind energy, studies, research, and investments are rapidly increasing. In this study, the wind energy potential of a region within the borders of Osmaniye province, based on the wind data for the year 2015, was evaluated. The stages of hydrogen production for the identified region, the methods used, and the progression of the entire process were discussed.     A corpus-based analysis of noun modifiers in L2 writing: The respective impact of L2 proficiency and L1 background

    Complex noun phrases, as a distinctive feature of academic writing, pose an important learning task for L2 learners. Noun modifiers are the primary means of constructing complex noun phrases. Due to the development of natural language processing (NLP) technologies in recent years, noun phrase complexity, which is a micro-syntactic complexity indicator reflecting the complexity and diversity of clausal and phrasal structures, has emerged as an important research topic. This study applies Bayesian regression with informative priors to analyze the use of English noun modifiers by L2 learners of different proficiency levels and L1 backgrounds through the exploration of the EF Cambridge Open Language Database (EFCAMDAT) corpus. It finds that L2 proficiency has a significant impact on the development of noun phrase complexity in non-academic writing, while the influence of L1 background is observable but limited.     Mediterranean Diet as an Adjunct Therapy in Bacterial Vaginosis Treatment: A Randomized Controlled Trial

    Objective: Vaginitis is a common and treatable condition in women. However, bacterial vaginosis (BV) may be resistant to treatment despite the use of antibiotics. This study aimed to determine the effect of the Mediterranean diet on the treatment of BV. Methods: This randomized controlled trial was designed to investigate the impact of the Mediterranean diet on BV treatment. Demographic data, body mass index (BMI), menopausal status, presence of diabetes mellitus, medical history, average three-day food intake, and treatment outcomes during follow-up examinations were recorded. Patients who were advised to follow the Mediterranean diet and adhered to it (Group 1) were compared with those in the control group who did not follow a dietary intervention (Group 2). Additionally, patients were categorized based on the persistence of BV following treatment. Results: The study included 64 patients who were advised to follow the Mediterranean diet and complied with it, and 64 patients who received no dietary recommendation. The mean age of participants was 49.32 +/- 10.53 years. The treatment-resistant group had higher rates of elevated BMI (>30 kg/m2), history of vaginal surgery, history of vaginitis, and non-adherence to the Mediterranean diet compared to the treatment-responsive group (p = 30), diabetes mellitus, recurrent vaginitis, and not adhering to the Mediterranean diet were statistically significant risk factors for treatment-resistant vaginitis. Conclusion: The Mediterranean diet enhances the effectiveness of BV treatment. High BMI, diabetes mellitus, and a history of recurrent vaginitis are significant risk factors for treatment-resistant bacterial vaginosis
