Sanal Gerçekliğin Mimarlık Sektöründe Geleneksel Pazarlama Karması Unsurları Üzerindeki Etkisi: Suudi Arabistan'da Bir Araştırma
No full textYüksek lisans tezi.This research presents a better understanding of the influence of virtual reality adoption on the traditional marketing mix elements 4Ps (product, price, place, and promotion) in the architectural industry in Saudi Arabia. The research investigates how Virtual Reality influences these marketing elements, aiming to enhance project outcomes and client satisfaction. Four hypotheses were formulated to assess VR's effect on each marketing component. The research targeted architectural companies in Saudi Arabia, diverse in services ranging from design to construction. Due to the challenge in specifying the number of active firms, a representative sample was chosen using non-probability convenient sampling, as geographical constraints necessitated quick and practical data collection. Following established research guidelines, a sample size of at least 400 respondents was determined adequate, aligning with the "10:1" rule for regression analysis. Data was collected through an online questionnaire completed by 400 participants, ensuring comprehensive responses with mandatory answer fields. The questionnaire, informed by prior validated tools and literature, covered aspects of virtual reality adoption and marketing strategies, providing a robust dataset for analysis. This study suggests incorporating VR into the architectural marketing mix can lead to more effective marketing strategies, improved project visualization, and enhanced client interaction. The study validates each hypothesis, demonstrating VR's transformative potential across all aspects of the marketing mix. Future research may delve into the long-term benefits of VR on customer satisfaction, the integration of VR with other emerging technologies, and comparative studies across different regions and cultural contexts to fully harness VR's potential in the architectural industry

No full textYüksek lisans tezi.Çalışmamızda ulusal yetki alanları dışındaki alanların deniz biyolojik çeşitliliğinin korunması ve sürdürülebilir kullanımı konusunu, biyolojik çeşitlilik ile ilgili yürütülen çalışmaların tarihsel süreci, BBNJ Anlaşması ve ilgili tanımlamalar, ulusal yetki alanı dışındaki alanlarda çevresel etki değerlendirmesi, deniz koruma alanları ve deniz genetik kaynakları çerçevesinde incelemiş bulunmaktayız. Bu kapsamda çalışmamızın birinci bölümünde, ulusal yetki alanı dışındaki alanlardaki biyolojik çeşitlilik ile ilgili yürütülen çalışmaların tarihsel sürecinden bahsettik ve bunu 2000 öncesi ve sonrası olarak iki başlığa ayırdık. 2000 öncesi dönemde Birleşmiş Milletler nezdinde kurulan organizasyonlardan, Gıda ve Tarım Örgütünden ve Uluslararası Doğayı Koruma Birliğinden bahsettik. 2000 sonrası dönemde ise BM Genel Kurulunun küresel politika sahası olarak rolünden, BBNJ Çalışma Grubundan ve BBNJ Anlaşmasından bahsettik. Sonrasında ise açık denizlerden, biyolojik çeşitlilikten, deniz genetik kaynakları ve deniz kirliliğinin tanımından ve deniz ekosisteminin mevcut durumundan bahsettik. Çalışmamızın ikinci bölümünde ise, ulusal yetki alanı dışındaki alanlarda çevresel etki değerlendirmesi başlığı altında önce mevcut hukuki çerçeveyi anlattık ve sonrasında da ÇED kapsamında ekonomik faaliyet alanlarına değindik. Mevcut hukuki çerçeve başlığı altında uluslararası düzeyde yapılan uygulamalar, ÇED'e özel olarak değinilen sözleşmeler olarak BMDHS, Biyolojik Çeşitlilik Sözleşmesi ve BBNJ Anlaşması yer almıştır. BBNJ Anlaşması kapsamında ÇED sürecine dair eşik ve faktörlere, sürece, raporlara, karar verme aşamasına, izin verilen faaliyetlerin etkilerinin izlenmesi, raporlanması ve gözden geçirilmesine değinilmiş ve ÇED ile ilgili olarak Bilimsel ve Teknik Organ tarafından geliştirilecek standart ve kılavuzlara yer verilmiştir. ÇED kapsamında ekonomik faaliyet alanları kısmında ise balıkçılık, derin deniz yatağı madenciliği, atıkların düzenli depolanması ve okyanus gübrelenmesi faaliyetlerine yer verilmiştir. Çalışmamızın üçüncü bölümünde, ulusal yetki alanı dışındaki alanlarda deniz koruma alanları ve deniz genetik kaynaklarına yer verdik. Bu kapsamda önce küresel bağlamda deniz koruma alanlarından, sonrasında Biyolojik Çeşitlilik Sözleşmesi kapsamında deniz koruma alanları ve deniz genetik kaynakları konusuna yer verilmiştir. Daha sonrasında bölgesel düzeyde tartışma ve girişimler kapsamında mevcut duruma değinilip Barselona Konvansiyonuna, CCAMLR'a, OSPAR'a, Sargasso Denizi Girişimine yer verilmiştir. Bu bölümün son kısmında ise BBNJ Anlaşması çerçevesinde deniz genetik kaynakları ve alan bazlı yönetim araçlarına değindik. Deniz genetik kaynakları kapsamında dijital dizi bilgileri hakkında bildirime ve faydaların adil ve hakkaniyetli paylaşımına değinilmiştir. Alan bazlı yönetim araçları kısmının içeriğinde ise deniz koruma alanlarının oluşturulmasında teklif aşaması, oluşturulması, oluşturulmasına karar verilmesi, izlenmesi ve gözden geçirilmesine yer verilmiştir
The Effect of Determining Tower Crane Location and Material Supply Point Using the Integer Linear Programming Model on the Project
No full textYüksek lisans tezi.İnşaat projelerinde kule vinçler en önde gelen temel iş makinesidir. Bu iş makinelerinin konumunun belirlenmesi, saha mobilizasyonunun en önemli kısmıdır. Kule vinç, projenin tamamlanma süresini ve maliyetini azaltan en etkili iş makinesidir. Bu nedenle kule vinç konumunun da uygun noktada olması gereklidir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, kule vinç konumunun projede en ideal noktada konumlandırmaya yönelik bir yaklaşım önermektir. Kule vinç konum yerleşiminde yapı ve malzeme tedarik alanlarına göre konumlandırmalıdır. Kule vinçlerin konumu ve tedarik noktasını optimize ederek belirlemek için Pyhton 3.x sürümü yazılımından yararlanılmıştır. Python 3.x yazılımında hazırlanan tam sayılı doğrusal programlama modeli ile kule vinç ve malzeme tedarik noktası optimize edilmiştir. Bu programlama modeli ile en uygun maliyetli kule vinç konumu ve tedarik noktası belirlenmiştir. Önerilen yaklaşımın kule vinç konumu ve tedarik noktasını en ideal şekilde optimize etmiştir. Mevcut projede kule vinçlerin konumu, deneyim ve eğitime dayalı olarak tasarlanmıştır. Kule vinç konumu tam sayılı doğrusal programlama kullanılarak belirlendiğinde mevcut projedeki konumla karşılaştırıldığında zaman ve maliyet kaybının ortaya çıktığı belirlenmiştir. Programlama sonucu oluşturulan yeni konumun mevcut projedeki kule vinç konumlarına göre maliyet bazında % 1.092 tasarruf sağlandığı görülmüştür. Kule vinçler, örtüşen çalışma bölgeleriyle zaman, maliyet ve iş gücü kısıtlamaları altında çalışır. Kule vinçlerin sayısını doğru belirlemek, kule vinç konumu projenin başarısı için önemli bir konudur. Bu sorunun deneyim ve eğitime bağlı olarak çözülmek istenmesi projenin iş gücü kaybına, verimin düşmesine, sürenin uzamasına ve böylelikle maliyetin artmasına sebep olmaktadır
Analysis of Cinematic Narrative and Visual Narrative in Gamification of Harry Potter Universe: Hogwarts Legacy Example

Fantastik edebiyatın en çok okunan örneklerinden birisi olan Harry Potter eseri hem filme hem de dijital oyunlara uyarlanmıştır. Bu araştırmada Harry Potter evreni sinemasal anlatı ve dijital oyun ilişkisi açısından Hogwarts Legacy oyunu üzerinden incelenmiştir. Oyunlar sinemasal anlatı bağlamında değerlendirildiğinde ekonomik ve teknik unsurların da estetik bir ürün yaratma isteği kadar belirleyici olduğu görülebilmektedir. Buna bağlı olarak Harry Potter filmlerinin izleyiciler tarafından ilgi görmesi, oyununun da beğenileceği düşüncesini oluşturmuştur. Teknolojinin gelişmesiyle dijital oyunların yapımını da sinemasal anlatının bu yapımlarına eklemlenesini kolaylaştırmıştır. Hogwarts Legacy incelendiğinde oyunun başlangıç bölümünün tam olarak bir sinema filmini andırdığı belirlenmiştir. Bu çalışmanın örneklemini oluşturan Hogwarts Legacy sinemasal anlatı doğrultusunda betimleyici içerik analiziyle incelenmiştir. Elde edilen bulgular betimleyici analiz ile yorumlanmıştır
NeuroBioSense: A Multidimensional Dataset for Neuromarketing Analysis
No full textIn the context of neuromarketing, sales, and branding, the investigation of consumer decision-making processes presents complex and intriguing challenges. Consideration of the effects of multicultural influences and societal conditions from a global perspective enriches this multifaceted field. The application of neuroscience tools and techniques to international marketing and consumer behavior is an emerging interdisciplinary field that seeks to understand the cognitive processes, reactions, and selection mechanisms of consumers within the context of branding and sales. The NeuroBioSense dataset was prepared to analyze and classify consumer responses. This dataset includes physiological signals, facial images of the participants while watching the advertisements, and demographic information. The primary objective of the data collection process is to record and analyze the responses of human subjects to these signals during a carefully designed experiment consisting of three distinct phases, each of which features a different form of branding advertisement. Physiological signals were collected with the Empatica e4 wearable sensor device, considering non-invasive body photoplethysmography (PPG), electrodermal activity (EDA), and body temperature sensors. A total of 58 participants, aged between 18 and 70, were divided into three different groups, and data were collected. Advertisements prepared in the categories of cosmetics for 18 participants, food for 20 participants, and cars for 20 participants were watched. On the emotion evaluation scale, 7 different emotion classes are given: Joy, Surprise, anger, disgust, sadness, fear, and neutral. This dataset will help researchers analyse responses, understand and develop emotion classification studies, the relationship between consumers and advertising, and neuromarketing methods
Evaluation of Interventions for Individuals with Special Needs After an Earthquake: Teacher Perspective
No full textTürkiye is in a geography where many large and small-scale earthquakes occur due to its location in the earthquake zone. The Kahramanmaraş earthquake on February 6, 2023, and the Hatay earthquake on February 20, 2023, affected individuals with special needs and their families as well as individuals with typical development. This research aims to determine the experiences of experts who meet/support individuals with special needs and their families in the earthquake zone or any province and their recommendations regarding future disasters. Therefore, focus group interviews were conducted with five special education teachers and a psychological counsellor. According to the results of the research, four themes were reached: the needs, the difficulties, the positive aspects of interventions for individuals with special needs after the earthquake and recommendations for a future earthquake. The results obtained from the findings of this study were discussed together with previous studies in the literature and suggestions were made regarding before, during and after disasters

No full textPart of the book series: Lecture Notes in Mechanical Engineering ((LNME)).Compliance with delivery times is crucial for businesses in the logistics sector. Numerous research has been conducted to improve distribution performance. Many of these studies touch on lean production as well. The strategies used in lean manufacturing are often employed by businesses and have a positive impact on performance. This study focuses on the overseas shipping department of a textile company’s logistics center. Workflow starts with product acceptance from manufacturers and ends with shipment to customers abroad. After a thorough examination, some bottlenecks that increase delivery times are observed. Value Stream Mapping (VSM), which is a lean manufacturing technique, is chosen as the main method to be used. It aims to determine value added and non-value-added activities, resulting in minimizing or eliminating the non-value-added ones. Initially, necessary data are gathered through workshops and interviews, and observations on Current State VSM are made. During these workshops, various improvements are proposed and evaluated together with the company’s engineers. After takt time and cycle time calculations, label change station is identified as the bottleneck. In the next step, Kaizens are suggested for the stations, and some lean techniques are employed to solve different workflow problems. Finally, short-term applicability of proposed improvements is discussed, and Future State VSM is drawn. It can be concluded that significant improvements are achieved especially in lead time, changeover time, productivity rate and production speed. By reducing or eliminating non-value-added activities and identifying deficiencies that slow process flow, a standard, sustainable and developable process is proposed to the company. © 2024, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd

No full textOne of the biggest challenges in architectural education is its necessity to adapt to a continuously evolving professional environment. In many countries, professional organizations such as chambers of architects and educational institutions work together to come up with various strategies and formulae that strength¬en the bond between the two. However, the rigid system imposed to the higher education institutions in Turkey hinders architecture schools to propose effective strategies for creating such bonds. Historical research on the topic indicates that this bond has become weaker in time. Currently, concerns reflect on the opinions of various stakeholders. As a result, there are various comments on architectural education to become more sufficient for the professional environment. This chapter aims to draw a framework for the relationship between education and practice in Turkey. Kuyumculuk Sektöründe Sosyal Ağlar: Türkiye’deki Etnik/Azınlık Girişimciler Üzerine Nitel Bir Araştırma
No full textThe study aims to reveal how minority entrepreneurs benefit from social networks and the role of social networks in the jewelry sector, which is considered one of the sectors where the use of social networks can be easily detected, where ethnic and minority entrepreneurs are clustered in Istanbul province, in Türkiye. In this context, phenomenology design was used as a qualitative research method, and the research data was collected through individual face-to-face in-depth interviews with a pre-prepared semi-structured questionnaire with 24 minority entrepreneurs registered with the Istanbul Chamber of Jewelers (IKO) and the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce Jewelry Committee (ITO). Descriptive and coding-based qualitative content analysis was used to analyze the data. MAXQDA qualitative data analysis program was used to visualize the data. As a result of the study, minority entrepreneurs in the jewelry sector benefit heavily from their social networks (especially their co-ethnic group) to access resources. Within the framework of the unique structure of the jewelry sector and the internal dynamics of minorities, the impact of the concept of "master" on the social networks of entrepreneurs in addition to family friends, who are among their strong and close networks, was also observed. The study is expected to contribute to the field by offering suggestions, as it is the only study that addresses the concept of "master" in the sectors of the creative industries and brings the concept to the literature
Endocrine Disruptors as Perspective of Prengnant School Educators: A Qualitative Study
No full textAmaç: Bu araştırmanın amacı gebe okulu programlarında eğitimci olarak görev alan ebe ve hemşirelerin endokrin bozucular konusundaki bilgi ve tutumlarını incelemektir.
Yöntem: Fenomenolojik tipte tasarlanan araştırmanın evreni, İstanbul ilindeki gebe okulu programlarında eğitimci olarak görev yapan 44 ebe/hemşireden oluşmuştur (N=44). Ölçüt örnekleme yöntemi kullanılarak örneklem veri doygunluğu takip edilmiş ve doygunluk sağlandığında veri toplama işlemi tamamlanmıştır (n=7). 13 Eylül 2021 tarihinde yapılan araştırmada, veriler odak grup yöntemi ile araştırmacılar tarafından oluşturulan yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formuyla toplanmıştır. Nicel veriler, tanımlayıcı istatistiksel analizler kullanılarak, nitel veriler ise içerik analiziyle değerlendirilmiştir.
Bulgular: Ebe ve hemşirelerin görüşme formuna verdikleri cevaplar doğrultusunda; endokrin bozucuların önemi, endokrin bozucular bilgisi, endokrin bozucular farkındalığı oluşturma ve gebe eğitimine entegrasyon şeklinde dört adet tema oluşturulmuştur. Prenatal dönem eğiticilerinin endokrin bozucuların öneminin farkında olmalarına rağmen konu hakkındaki bilgilerinin yetersiz olduğu belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca katılımcıların konunun prenatal eğitimlerde yer alması ve farkındalık geliştirilebilmesi için çeşitli önerilerinin bulunduğu saptanmıştır.
Sonuç: Ebe ve hemşirelerin endokrin bozuculara yönelik çok fazla bilgilerinin olmadığı hatta kısmen yanlış bilgilere sahip oldukları görülmüştür. Eğitici eğitimlerinin içeriğine endokrin bozucularla ilgili konuların eklenerek bilinçlendirme çalışmalarının arttırılması gerektiği sonucuna varılmıştır
