Machine learning-based IoT system for COVID-19 epidemics
[[abstract]]The planet earth has been facing COVID-19 epidemic as a challenge in recent time. It is predictable that the world will be fighting the pandemic by taking precautions steps before an operative vaccine is found. The IoT produces huge data volumes, whether private or public, through the invention of IoT devices in the form of smart devices with an improved rate of IoT data generation. A lot of devices interact with each other in the IoT ecosystem through the cloud or servers. Various techniques have been presented in recent time, using data mining approach have proven help detect possible cases of coronaviruses. Therefore, this study uses machine learning technique (ABC and SVM) to predict COVID-19 for IoT data system. The system used two machine learning techniques which are Artificial Bee Colony algorithm with Support Vector Machine classifier on a San Francisco COVID-19 dataset. The system was evaluated using confusion matrix and had a 95% accuracy, 95% sensitivity, 95% specificity, 97% precision, 96% F1 score, 89% Matthews correlation coefficient for ABC-L-SVM and 97% accuracy, 95% sensitivity, 100% specificity, 100% precision, 97% F1 score, 93.1% Matthews correlation coefficient for ABC-Q-SVM. In conclusion, the system shows that the process of dimensionality reduction utilizing ABC feature extraction techniques can boost the classification production for SVM. It was observed that fetching relevant information from IoT systems before classification is relatively beneficial
Topology-Aware Neural Model for Highly Accurate QoS Prediction
[[abstract]]With the widespread deployment of various cloud computing and service-oriented systems, there is a rapidly increasing demand for collaborative quality-of-service (QoS) prediction. Existing QoS prediction methods have made great progress in modeling users and services as well as exploiting contexts of service invocations. However, they ignore the completion of service requests/responses relies on the underlying network topology and the complex interactions between Autonomous Systems. To tackle this challenge, we propose a topology-aware neural (TAN) model for collaborative QoS prediction. In the TAN model, the features of users, services, and intermediate nodes on the communication path are projected to a shared latent space as input features. To jointly characterize the invocation process, the path features and end-cross features are captured respectively through an explicit path modeling layer and an implicit cross-modeling layer. After that, a gating layer fuses and transmits these features to the prediction layer for estimating unknown QoS values. In this way, TAN provides a flexible framework that can comprehensively capture the invocation context for making accurate QoS prediction. Experimental results on two real-world datasets demonstrate that TAN significantly outperforms state-of-the-art methods on the tasks of response time, throughput, and reliability prediction. The Effect of Exercise Training on Ribosomal Protein Genes (RPGs) in Hypertensive Heart
[[abstract]]背景:運動訓練通過修復心肌細胞異常對高血壓病症產生有益影響。 然而,運動後在轉錄水平上支持高血壓心臟調節作用的機制仍不清楚。 在這項研究中,我們研究了自發性高血壓大鼠 (SHR) 對照/久坐、野生型和運動訓練後的 SHR 中核醣體蛋白基因 (RPG) 轉錄的改變。
方法:我們在提取心臟組織中的 RNA 後使用 Affymetrix GeneChip Rat Gene 1.0 ST 陣列進行微陣列分析。 在 DAVID 計算的 Benjamini 值 <0.05 下確定轉錄組的組差異,以確定基因集的富集。 每個基因過表達的意義採用標準學生 t 檢驗。

However, the mechanism underpinning the hypertensive heart-regulatory effect in transcriptional level after exercise remain unclear. In this study, we investigate the alteration of ribosome protein genes (RPGs) transcription in spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHR) control/sedentary, wild type, and SHR with exercise training.
Method: We employed microarray analysis using Affymetrix GeneChip Rat Gene 1.0 ST array after RNA in heart tissue was extracted. Group differences in the transcriptome were determined at DAVID calculated Benjamini value <0.05 to identify the gene set enrichment. Significance of overexpression of each gene employed standard Student's t test.
Result: We identified 122 differentially expressed genes, where 46 were upregulated and 76 were downregulated between SHR Exercise group as compared to SHR sedentary (p < 0.05) comprising RPGs encoding ribosome biogenesis protein. Gene set enrichment analysis showed that RPGs were downregulated among SHR-EX group, which associated with cardiomyocyte homeostasis, repairing the cardiac abnormality.
Conclusion: Our finding indicates that the transcriptional profile of hypertensive heart after exercise is able to downregulate the genes involved in ribosome biogenesis, thus decreasing the protein production rate during translatio

變的全球經營環境中,海運業的發展也日漸受到重視,為此許多對於海運服務
品質的研究也隨著投入,面對變幻莫測的市場競爭,企業現有優勢下的情況下
成功掌握客戶,並持續管理則是相當重要的。在自然地理環境下,台灣是典型
的海島經濟。憑藉其在世界上穩定的貿易地位,海運業運輸的需求發揮著越來
越重要的作用。為加快各產業在國際區域經濟活動中的延伸,吸引外國企業在
台灣設立營運基地,海運競爭力是創造上述兩項價值活動的重要因素,因此海
運業是建立國家競爭優勢不可忽視的重要環節。
2021 年上半年台灣新冠肺炎疫情大爆發,政府實施第三級警戒管制,
學校停課,企業改在家遠距上班,網購蔚為風潮,對於物流業者而言,可說是
創造了全新的需求,受惠於宅經濟發酵,貨運物流業運量大增,全球物流服務
承攬業者訂單應接不暇。
對於疫情後海運的商機也是本研究的重點,本研究將研究疫情之下海
運業者對於物流價值鏈及影響經營因素探討,並以SWOT 分析、半結構式訪談
及加權矩陣進行探討。[[abstract]]With the vigorous development of international trade, the shipping industry
plays a pivotal role. In the rapidly changing global business environment, the
development of the shipping industry is also receiving more and more attention. For
this reason, many studies on the quality of shipping services have also been invested
in the face of changes. In the face of unpredictable market competition, it is very
important for enterprises to successfully grasp customers and continue to manage
them under the circumstances of existing advantages. In the natural geographical
environment, Taiwan is a typical island economy. With its stable trade position in the
world, the demand of shipping industry transportation plays an increasingly important
role. In order to accelerate the extension of various industries in international regional
economic activities and attract foreign companies to set up operating bases in Taiwan,
the competitiveness of shipping is an important factor in creating the above two value
activities. Therefore, the shipping industry is an important link that cannot be ignored
in establishing a country's competitive advantage.
In the first half of 2021, Taiwan’s new crown pneumonia epidemic broke
out. The government implemented a third-level alert control, schools were closed, and
companies changed to work from home. Benefiting from the fermentation of the stayat-
home economy, the freight volume of the freight logistics industry has increased
significantly, and global logistics service contractors have been overwhelmed with
orders.
The business opportunities of the post-shipment epidemic are also the focus
of this survey. This study will study the logistics value chain and factors affecting the
operation of the shipping industry under the epidemic, and discuss it through SWOT
analysis, semi-structured interviews and weighting matrix
Location Selection and Capacity Allocation Problem by Distance-Dependent Cooperative Facility Coverage
[[abstract]]選址問題是設施區位決策問題中的一個經典但仍然很關鍵的問題,設施提供給需求點之覆蓋率是表示兩者關係的一種方式。設施覆蓋率可區分成幾個類別,對於所有目標需求點來說,可以考慮全部或部分被覆蓋,就每個需求點的覆蓋率而言,可以被設施完全、部分或不覆蓋,此外,每個需求點可以被一個或多個設施來提供其覆蓋率。另外,每個需求點內的需求可以被設施部分或全部滿足。而每一設施的覆蓋率可用具有兩個不同覆蓋半徑之距離相關函數來表示,在最大全覆蓋半徑內之範圍其覆蓋強度為全覆蓋,意即覆蓋值為1;在最大部分覆蓋半徑外之範圍則無提供覆蓋,亦即覆蓋值為0;於在兩個覆蓋半徑範圍之間之覆蓋強度則介於0與1之間。所有需求點都需被全部覆蓋,且為了合作/備份型覆蓋及需求點之需求須備全部滿足之考量下,每個需求點將至少被兩個或以上之設施所覆蓋,所以將可預期每個需求點所接收到的總覆蓋強度為超額覆蓋(每個需求點之覆蓋值總和將至少為1)。此外,設施之容量也會影響在初始階段設施的安置與選擇之決策,故於本研究中,覆蓋率也納入設施之容量分配考量中。本研究之的目的在以設置最少數量的設施來服務或覆蓋所有現有的需求點,其決定因素為同時考量超額覆蓋總和最小化及總成本(包含被指派之設施開辦成本與所有設施配送至需求點的運輸成本)最小化,則本研究所提出的問題可以多目標最適化模型來表示。本研究針對所提出的問題進行了求解方式的開發,並為了驗證其求解之效率與效果,利用可以求得最佳解之窮舉法來進行小規模問題之比較,而針對大規模之問題,則採用精英非支配排序遺傳算法(NSGA-II)來進行解答效率與效果之比較。於本研究中已完成各種不同情境之數值分析,發現針對本研究問題所提出之演算法具有良好的求解效率與解答品質。[[abstract]]Location selection problem is a classical but still critical issue in the facility location decision issue. Coverage of the demand point provided from the facility is one of the ways to represent the relationship between both. There are some categories for the facility coverage. For all target demand points, all/partial covered can be considered. At each covered demand point, it can be full/partial/none covered by the facilities. In addition, one or more facilities can provide coverage to the covered demand point. Besides, the requirements of each demand point can be partial or full fulfilled by the facilities. Coverage of the facility can be described as distance-dependent with two coverage radii. The strength of coverage is full, i.e. the value of coverage is 1, within the maximum full coverage radius range. There is no coverage provided, i.e. value of coverage is 0, with outside the maximum partial coverage radius range. The value of coverage is between 0 and 1 between both coverage radii range. All demand points should be all covered and each demand point is covered by at least two facilities for cooperative/backup coverage and all requirements satisfied consideration. It is expected that total coverage strength each demand point receive will be over-coverage, where the total coverage value is at least 1. Furthermore, capacity is also impact to the settlement and selection of facility in the initial decision stage. In this research, coverage is taking in the capacity allocation of the facility into account. The purpose of this research is to find least number of facilities to serve/cover all existing demand points which are determined by minimum over-coverage level for all demand points and minimum total costs including opened costs for selected facilities and transportation costs from assigned facilities to the demand points, simultaneously. The proposed problem can be formulated as the multi-objective optimization model. The developed algorithm is introduced for the proposed problem. In order to verify the effectiveness of the developed algorithm, exhaustive approach which can find the exact solution is adopted to compare for the proposed problem with small size. For the large size problem, the elitist non-dominated sort genetic algorithm (NSGA-II) is employed for the comparison of solution efficiency and effectiveness. The numerical examples are implemented and demonstrated that the solutions outcome from introduced algorithm are with good performance for the computation efficiency and effectiveness of solution quality
The Impact and Transformation of the COVID-19 Pandemic on the Operation Strategy of Church: A Case Study of Presbyterian Church in Wufeng
[[abstract]]為了防範新型冠狀病毒肺炎疫情(以下簡稱為疫情) 的大流行,頒布禁止群聚和保持社交距離的規範。導致包括基督教教會等宗教團體的活動辦理受到限制。本研究為了解疫情對教會經營的衝擊以及提供後疫情時代教會在經營轉型方向的建議,分別採用質性的實地訪談以及量化的問卷分析法來進行研究,研究結果發現教會對於各項活動所採行的因應做法並不相同,如主日禮拜改為線上辦理,而如長照服務、安德列銀行和芥菜種計畫等活動則取消辦理,會眾對主日禮拜採用線上方式持續辦理表示贊同,但對於教會基於健康理由暫停長照服務、安德列銀行和芥菜種計畫等服務性的活動則持有不同意見,他們認為疫情期間正是他們最需要被服務的時期。原本想以主日禮拜活動為例,透過科技接受模型來觀察對接受和反對線上活動的主要原因,但因問卷份數不足以及問卷題目填答出現矛盾,導致信度和效度不佳,導致分析結果缺乏可信度。在後疫情時代,皆支持主日禮拜同時採用線上和實體兩種做法,同時建議提高年輕會眾對教會行政的參與度,以爭取年輕會眾對教會的認同感和向心力。[[abstract]]In order to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 pneumonia epidemic (hereinafter referred to as the epidemic), regulations prohibiting gatherings and maintaining social distance have been promulgated. As a result, the activities of religious groups, including Christian churches, have been restricted. In order to understand the impact of the epidemic on church management and provide suggestions for the direction of church management transformation in the post-epidemic era, this research uses qualitative field interviews and quantitative questionnaire analysis methods to conduct research. For example, Sunday services have been changed to online, while activities such as long-term care services, Andrea Bank and the Mustard Seed Project have been cancelled. The congregation expressed their approval for the continuous online delivery of Sunday services , but hold different opinions on the church’s suspension of long-term care services, Andrea Bank, and Mustard Seed Project for health reasons. They believe that the period of the epidemic is the period when they most need to be served.
The original plan was to take Sunday worship activities as an example, and use the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) to observe the main reasons for accepting and opposing online activities. However, due to the insufficient number of questionnaires and contradictions in filling in the questionnaire questions, the reliability and validity were not good, resulting in lack credibility. In the post-epidemic era, they all support the use of both online and physical methods of Sunday worship. At the same time, it is suggested to increase the participation of young congregants in church administration, so as to win the young congregation's sense of identity and solidarity with the church

本研究以 2017-2022 年?六年的世界四大權威海報大展中的海? ?研究?象,?四大海?分?是指: “波蘭華沙國際海報雙年展”、 “日本富山國際海報三年展”、“墨西哥國際海報雙年展”以及“芬 蘭拉赫國際海報三年展”等,這六年用環保議題進行創作的得獎作品 特?多,統計得到 36 件海報作品作為研究樣本,除了用文?研究外? 采用一???典案例?分析海報中的環保主題以及設計元素的視覺表 現,並在此基?上?行?性化的海??作。。

最後希望本研究成果能成為今後設計學學生參與國際海報競賽的參 考指標與方向。

This study took the "Toyama International Poster Triennial in Japan", "Warsaw International Poster Biennale in Poland", "International Poster Biennale in Mexico" and "Lach International Poster Triennial in Finland" among the four major authoritative poster exhibitions in the world as research objects, and took the winning works created on environmental protection issues in the six years from 2017 to 2022, and counted 25 poster works as research samples, and analyzed the environmental protection themes and visual performance of design elements in the posters by literature research and case analysis. And use this to create posters. Through the literature discussion and case analysis of this
study, it is concluded that the expression form of environmental protection posters is mainly based on four elements: text, color, illustration and composition. The specific themes in the environmental protection posters are "resource conservation", "tree protection", "animal protection", "environmental pollution" and "climate warming", and in the past three years, because of the world COVID-19
pandemic, people talk about the new crown and change, so the winning works in the "environmental pollution" theme appear to be more, and it can be seen that people desire world peace and health first.
This research is based on the study of the world's four major authorities posters, and his own works were shortlisted for the Toyama International Poster Annual Exhibition in Japan.
Finally, it is hoped that the research results will become a reference index and direction for design students to participate in international poster competitions in the future.
