Argitaratu den testuak ez zituen zuzenketa guztiak sartu eta, ondorioz, huts franko ditu.This paper provides an attempt to find the etymology of the Basque case ending "-(r)antz" ‘towards'. I propose that this ending may be a calque of the Latin construction "ad...versum", together with a process of grammaticalization. Firstly, I propose a protoform that could be the origin of all the variants of the Basque suffix. Secondly, it is shown that Basque presents other instances of similar grammaticalization in its case system. Then, I propose an etymology, and provide some parallel examples from Romanic and other Indo-European languages. Finally, some problems and lacunae are mentioned

No full textThe development of the press in Basque language had a repercussion determining in the renewal of the literary language at the end of the XIXth century. Within the framework of this conference devoted to the literary generations, it is the impact of the creation of the Bayonne weekly magazine "Eskualduna" which is studied here. The generation of the founders (J Hiriart-Urruty, Blaise Adéma, Arnaud Abbadie, etc.) formed a group of young people who became during the XXth century the principal representatives of the Navarro-Labourdin literature through their various contributions and creations. Jean Etxepare, Jean Barber, Oxobi, Jean Elissalde (of whom it is necessary to associate Pierre Lhande) are all resulting from this seedbed of writers. Like their counterparts of the other Basque Provinces (Lizardi, Lauaxeta, Orixe, Irigarai, etb.) formed at the school of the press, they deeply renewed the writing literature by widening the pallet of the kinds (novel, theatre, test, lyric poetry and intimist, etc.) and by proposing new stylistic models.Le développement d'une presse en langue basque a eu un retentissement déterminant dans le renouvellement de la langue littéraire à la fin du XIXe siècle. Dans le cadre de ce colloque consacré aux générations littéraires, c'est l'impact de la création de l'hebdomadaire bayonnais "Eskualduna" qui est ici étudié. La génération des fondateurs (J. Hiriart-Urruty, Blaise Adéma, Arnaud Abbadie,etc.) a constitué et formé un groupe de jeunes gens qui sont devenus au cours du XXe siècle les principaux représentants du navarro-labourdin littéraire à travers leurs diverses contributions et créations. Jean Etxepare, Jean Barbier, Oxobi, Jean Elissalde (auxquels il faut associer Pierre Lhande) sont tous issus de cette pépinière d'écrivains. Comme leurs homologues des autres Provinces basques (Lizardi, Lauaxeta, Orixe, Irigarai, etb.) formés à l'école de la presse, ils ont profondément renouvelé l'écriture littéraire en élargissant la palette des genres (roman, théâtre, essai, poésie lyrique et intimiste, etc.) et en proposant de nouveaux modèles stylistiques
