No full textThis thesis investigates how form emerges from movement in aesthetic expressions. It examines the uncertainty and dynamism of movement creat- ing form in different aesthetic expressions by considering the phenomenon of form while it is happening, that is, as a forming. In order to approach form in its movement, the dissertation engages with the problem of how we apprehend form in its own emergence. For this, the present study looks at different aesthetic expressions of such movement in the spheres of reflec- tion, the plastic and the sonorous. It is about the question of how one can apprehend a dynamic of formation in its very movement. The first chapter engages with dimensions of reflection, analyzing how formative movement challenges conventional notions of causality and teleology in Kant’s aes- thetics. By revisiting the second part of the Critique of Judgment, it argues that Kant’s treatment of teleological judgment can be read as a theory of formation that extends beyond the biological and organic, encompassing reflexive and conceptual processes. This chapter also aims to show that Kant puts in play a type of thinking that surprisingly is not properly teleo- logical, but a thought-process structured in terms of analogy. The second chapter turns to the plastic expression of the forming movement, focusing on non-object-oriented forms found in kinetic art, where the artwork itself seeks to embody the process of formation. Special attention is given to the work of Brazilian artist Abraham Palatnik, whose practice was shaped by Gestalt theory and phenomenology. In the third chapter, the movement of form is discussed in light of the musical and theoretical works by the Hungarian composer György Ligeti on the sonorous apprehension of the movement of form in terms of transformation. Here, the focus is on sound as a medium of transformation, exploring how Ligeti’s work renders audible the very movement of form and attempts to make listening sound. Avhandlingen undersöker hur form framträder ur rörelse i olika estetiska uttryck. Studien utforskar dynamiken i hur rörelse skapar form genom att betrakta fenomenet form medan det sker, det vill säga i den formande processen. Frågan om hur form kan förnimmas i dess tillblivelse, i själva rörelsen, är central. Undersökningen tittar på estetiska uttryck av rörelse inom tre sfärer: reflektion, det plastiska och det auditiva. Det första kapitlet behandlar dimensioner av reflektion och analyserar hur formativ rörelse utmanar konventionella föreställningar om kausalitet och teleologi i Kants estetik. Här visas hur Kants behandling av det teleologiska omdömet kan läsas som en formteori som sträcker sig bortom det biologiska och organiska, och även omfattar reflexiva och konceptuella processer. Detta kapitel syftar också till att visa att Kant möjliggör ett slags tänkande som förvånande nog inte är genuint teleologiskt, utan en tankeprocess strukturerad i termer av analogi. Det andra kapitlet ägnas åt det plastiska uttrycket av den formande rörelsen. Fokus riktas här mot de icke-objektorienterade former som återfinns i kinetisk konst, där själva konstverket söker gestalta formningsprocessen. Särskild uppmärksamhet ägnas åt den brasilianske konstnären Abraham Palatnik, vars konstnärliga arbete influerats av gestaltteori och fenomenologi. I det tredje kapitlet diskuteras formens rörelse i ljuset av den ungerske tonsättaren György Ligetis musikaliska och teoretiska verk om hur den auditiva formens transformativa rörelse uppfattas. Här ligger fokus på ljud som ett transformativt medium och på att utforska hur Ligetis verk gör själva formens rörelse hörbar och samtidigt syftar till att få lyssnandet att klinga.
Sparks and cracks in existential dialogues : Philosophizing as a way to reach insights
No full textHär får du möta en samtalsledare som håller i existentiella samtal och deltagare som ägnar sig åt att filosofera. Du välkomnas in till en existentiell salong i en aula i Stockholm. Essän beskriver hur samtalen går till, men framför allt är den ett försök att förstå vad som händer med både den som leder och de som deltar i filosoferandet. Vad är det för processer som dras i gång när deltagarna utforskar teman som kärlek,hopp, val och döden? Vad händer mellan dem och i dem? The investigation shows the dialogue leader what is crucial in her way of leading the group process, and what she should refrain from doing to facilitate this philosophizing process. Bank Liquidity Transformation and Collateral Frameworks : Lessons from 1682
No full textCentral bank collateral frameworks and the liquidity transformation they allow for play important roles for financing long term economic projects (and thereby economic growth) while preserving financial stability. To shed light on early central bank collateral frameworks, this note analyses a document of the Riksens ständers lånebank of 1682 which pledges real estate to serve as collateral for a loan of the Riksbank to the farmer Olof Olofsson. A transcription and translation are provided and the document is analyzed in the context of the 17th century operations, balance sheet, and mandate of the Riksens ständers lånebank and the related literature. We recall the role of central bank credit to private debtors in early central banking, and that, contrary to some prominent views, government financing was more the exception than the rule as key reason to establish and operate central banks before 1700. We also derive lessons for today's central bank collateral frameworks and their role in liquidity transformation
Varför gick vi inte på henne? : En kvalitativ studie om tjejer i gängmiljö sett utifrån ett yrkesperspektiv
No full textThat girls are present in gang enviroment is nothing new, but the extent of, and the purpose behind, their involvment appears to be less clear. They are often described in this context from a vulnerable positions or as victims. The aim of this study is to examine the positioning and involvement of girls in gang enviroments, based on how professionals perceive the phenomenon of girls in gangs. The study was conducted using a qualitative analysis method, based on material gathered from seven interviews with professionals who shared their perspectives on working with girls in gang settings. A thematic analysis was used to evaluate the material. Through this process two themes were identified: invisible enablement and social processes and social structures. The results were then interpreted using a gender perspective and labeling theory. Previous resarch on the subject is also discussed in relation to the study's findings. The results highlight how girls often fly under the radar, which can lead to their exploitation by gangs. Futhermore, both risk and protective factors that influence girls involvement in gangs emerge from findings. Finally, the study concludes that the vulnerability of these girls is complex and of significant importance in the shaping of future efforts aimed at reaching girls in gang enviroments as well as suggestions for further research.
Lärares upplevelser kring metoden ”PAX i skolan” på mellanstadiet
No full textUndervisningen i skolan ska präglas av trygghet och studiero. I ett försök att uppnå detta implementeras metoden ”PAX i skolan” på många svenska skolor. Metodens effekter är väl undersökta i lågstadiet men det saknas forskning kring metoden på mellanstadiet. Denna studie undersöker lärares upplevelser av att arbeta med PAX på mellanstadiet. Studien belyser lärares beskrivning av arbetet med metoden samt synliggör framgångsfaktorer och utmaningar och visar på potentiella utvecklingsmöjligheter. Datainsamling sker genom digitala kvalitativa intervjuer med sex lärare från olika skolor i Sverige. Analysen görs med utgångspunkt från en reflexiv tematisk analys och tolkas ur en socialkognitiv teoretisk infallsvinkel. Resultaten tyder på att lärarna anser att det är viktigt att anpassa metoden utifrån sin egen didaktik och elevernas behov. Det visar också på att det är fördelaktigt att introducera eleverna i metoden under lågstadiet och att det gynnar både lärare och elever om metoden används på hela skolan. Vidare tyder resultaten på att en mer flexibel introducering av verktygen skulle vara fördelaktig och att en avgörande faktor för ett framgångsrikt arbete med PAX i skolan på mellanstadiet är att lärarna får tid för att diskutera och utveckla metoden tillsammans. Därför vore det fördelaktigt för framtida studier att fokusera på elevernas upplevelser av metoden. Teaching in schools should be characterized by safety and a calm study environment. In an attempt to achieve this, the method "PAX in school" is being implemented in many Swedish schools. The effects of the method are well researched in primary school, but there is a lack of research on the method in middle school. This study examines teachers' experiences of working with PAX in middle school. The study highlights teachers' descriptions of working with the method, the success factors and challenges and shows opportunities for potential development. Data collection takes place through digital qualitative interviews with six teachers from different schools in Sweden. The analysis is based on a reflexive thematic analysis and interpreted from a social cognitive theoretical perspective. The results indicate that teachers believe it is important to adapt the method based on their own didactics and the students' needs. It also shows that it is advantageous to introduce students to the method during primary school and that it benefits both teachers and students if the method is used throughout the school. Furthermore, the results suggest that a more flexible introduction of the tools would be beneficial and that a crucial factor for successful work with PAX in middle school is that teachers have time to discuss and develop the method together. Therefore, it would be beneficial for future studies to focus on students' experiences of the method

No full textDenna studie undersöker hur klienter till revisionsbyråer uppfattar och hanterarservicemisslyckanden, samt hur dessa upplevelser leder till spridning av negativ elektroniskword-of-mouth (eWOM). Genom kvalitativa intervjuer med erfarna representanter belyserstudien de specifika utmaningar som uppstår i branschen vid missnöje och hur servicerecovery-strategier används för att motverka negativ exponering. Studien bidrar med enfördjupad förståelse för sambandet mellan service failure, kundnöjdhet och digitalkommunikation inom en professionell tjänstekontext, där förtroende är centralt. Resultatetvisar att hanteringen av missnöjda klienter är avgörande för att skydda varumärket ochbevara långsiktiga kundrelationer.This study explores how clients of audit firms perceive and respond to service failures, andhow such experiences lead to the spread of negativ electronic word-of-mouth (eWOM). Basedon qualitative interviews with experienced respondents, the research highlights the specificchallenges that rise in the auditing industry when clients express dissatisfaction and howservice recovery strategies applies to prevent reputational damage. The study providesin-depth insights into the interplay between service failure, customer satisfaction, and digitalcommunication within a professional service context where trust plays a key role. Thefindings suggest that managing dissatisfied clients effectively is crucial for maintaining brandreputation and fostering long-term relationships.
CBEES State of the Region Report 2025
No full textMigration patterns are currently changing and reshaping the societies in the region in profound ways. War and confict, economic crisis, political repression, and other changes can drive both forced and voluntary migration, leading to long-lasting and signifcant impacts on countries of origin. Migration also reshapes the socio-demographic structure of destination countries. The arrival of impoverished and traumatized migrants, alongside economically powerful and highly educated newcomers, impacts local economies and labor markets. These dynamics infuence the reception of newcomers, who may be viewed as sources of information, sources of high-skilled knowledge, potential political allies against authoritarian regimes, or as domestic security risks. Diaspora groups and new communities emerge, infuencing both their new societies and their countries of origin. Thus, movement and mobility inevitably create new encounters, leading to responses ranging from hospitality to hostility. The most recent wave of emigration is profoundly reconfguring the migration landscape across Eastern European countries. The CBEES State of the Region Report 2025 aims to analyze the ongoing movement of people by mapping out demographic experiences, patterns, and power relations on grassroots as well as macro level. The purpose is to give a contemporary overview of the diversity of challenges the region and the countries are facing, and to present a preliminary analysis of the implications for the region.The report is the ffth in a series of annual reports from CBEES (Centre for Baltic and East European Studies), reporting and refecting on the social and political developments in the Baltic Sea Region and Central and Eastern Europe, taking a new and topical perspective in each issue. The overall purpose of this initiative is to ofer a publication that will be of great interest to fellow researchers, policy makers, stakeholders, and the general public
Due diligence i företagsförvärv : Utmaningar, riskhantering och beslutsfattande
No full textDenna studie belyser hur due diligence vid företagsförvärv genomförs i praktiken, med särskilt fokus på finansiell och legal granskning ur både köparens och säljarens perspektiv. Med stöd av kvalitativa, semistrukturerade intervjuer med erfarna rådgivare analyseras hur företag hanterar bland annat osäkerhet, informationsasymmetri och tidspress, utmaningar som oftast präglar förvärvsprocessen. Resultaten visar att due diligence har en central roll, inte enbart för identifiering av risker, utan utgör även ett strategiskt beslutsunderlag för att möjliggöra välgrundade beslut, underlätta integration och realisera synergier. Vidare indikerar studien att digitalisering och AI har bidragit till ökad effektivitet och transparens i granskningsprocessen, men samtidigt gett upphov till nya utmaningar kopplade till hantering av komplexa informationsflöden och ett ökat behov av specialistkompetens. Trots dessa teknologiska framsteg kvarstår mänskliga faktorer, särskilt förtroende och kommunikation, som avgörande för att uppnå en framgångsrik due diligence process. Studien bidrar således med fördjupade insikter för hur due diligence processen kan utvecklas och strategiskt utformas för att främja välinformerade beslut och skapa långsiktigt värde vid företagsförvärv.This bachelor’s thesis examines how due diligence is conducted in corporate acquisitions, with a specific focus on financial and legal review from both the buyer’s and seller’s perspective. Drawing on qualitative, semi-structured interviews with experienced advisors, this study explores how organizations navigate challenges related to uncertainty, information asymmetry and limited time frames during the acquisition process. The findings indicate that due diligence is essential not only for identifying risks, but also for supporting informed decisions, facilitating integration and maximizing synergies. Furthermore, the study highlights that although digitalization and AI have increased efficiency and transparency, they have also introduced new challenges related to information management and the demand for specialized expertise. Despite technological advancements, human factors such as trust and communication remain essential for conducting a successful due diligence process. Ultimately, this study provides profound insights into how companies can adapt and optimize due diligence to promote better decision making and create lasting value in corporate acquisitions
