An inquiry into the drivers of an entrepreneurial economy: A Bayesian clustering approach
Understanding the worldwide drivers of qualified entrepreneurship is a key issue in
economic policy design. To help policy decisions exert their intended impact, we
aim to cluster a wide range of countries on the basis of their levels and trends in selfemployment
productivity using a finite mixture model applied to a new large dataset
of 121 countries covering the period of 1991–2019. Our results point to three
groups of high-, medium-, and low-productive means and tendencies, the geographical
distribution of which suggests that they can be reinterpreted using the three
stages of economic development, namely, innovation-, efficiency-, and factor-driven
economies. Notably, we find that widespread digitalization and low unemployment
enhance the probability of transitioning into a highly productive cluster. However,
we failed to find that industry weight or employment protection legislation strictness
serve as determinants in the transition between groups. Suggestive rationales
for these results and implications for the entrepreneurship policy agenda are also
provided.Funding for open access publishing: Universidad de Huelva/CBUA. The authors acknowledge

This research aimed to assess the impact of using the instant messaging tool WhatsApp on academic success and the learning experience of students in online higher education programs. A mixed methods approach was implemented in two phases: firstly, a systematic literature review was conducted following the PRISMA methodology, in order to identify the main factors associated with student success in university-level online education. Secondly, a quasi-experimental study was carried out in two sections of the “Introduction to Scientific Research” course in the online modality at the Technical Particular University of Loja, Ecuador. One section was assigned as a control group and the other as an experimental group, which incorporated the use of WhatsApp in academic tutorials. Indicators such as intensity of student interaction with the CANVAS virtual learning platform and academic performance according to final grades were measured. Results from the qualitative analysis showed that close teacher-student interaction is the most influential factor in the success of online programs, followed by solid instructional design. The quasi-experimental phase found that incorporating WhatsApp significantly increases student commitment to various components of the virtual environment, which could help mitigate high dropout rates. However, no significant differences in academic performance between groups were found. It is concluded that WhatsApp intensifies student participation, but additional strategies are required to improve learning in virtual contexts

Geological effects of the 1953 Used earthquake (Zaragoza, Iberian Chain, Spain)
al sur de Aldehuela de LiestosThe 1953 Used earthquake, of magnitude 4.7 (based on the
duration) and intensity VII (EMS-98 scale), was the last destructive
seism in the Aragón region, Spain. Its epicentre was located at the
Santa Cruz range, while the focal depth is constrained between 7
and 15 km. The extensional Daroca fault was probably the seismic
source. The earthquake was strongly felt in Used, where it caused
serious damage to many buildings, and in numerous villages of the
Daroca-Calatayud area. Two geological-environmental effects have
been evidenced from direct personal testimonies, press reports and
field observations: a landslide that cut the N-234 road between Velilla de Jiloca and Maluenda, south of Calatayud, and the fall of large
rock blocks in Barranco del Montecillo, south of Aldehuela de Liesto
Dinosaur tracks from the Late Jurassic of La Puebla de Valverde (Teruel, Spain)
transjuranicus y las huellas ornitópodas grandes a IguanodontipodidaeTwo new dinosaur tracksites are described in La Puebla de Valverde municipality. The footprints were found isolated in situ and ex
situ in siliciclastic facies included in the Villar del Arzobispo Formation (Late Jurassic). The most distinctive fact about the study area is
the large diversity of tridactyl track morphotypes. Small and large
ornithopod footprints, and medium and large theropod footprints
have been identified. These ichnites are preserved either as concave
epireliefs and convex hiporeliefs with different preservation grades.
Some of them show extramorphological features (high interdigital
angles, collapsed walls, missing digits) due to the substrate conditions during the registration, which complicates the ichnotaxonomic
assignment. The best-preserved medium-sized theropod footprint,
classified as cf. Kayentapus isp., is different to the previously identified ichnotaxa in the Maestrazgo basin. In addition, large and gracile
theropod tracks are similar to Megalosauripus cf. transjuranicus and
large ornithopod tracks to Iguanodontipodida
Development of a robust and precise methodology for the measurement of the radon diffusion coefficient in diverse materials
The main sources of radon indoors are the infiltration from the soil through the building materials and the materials themselves. These pathways are significantly influenced by the radon diffusion coefficient, D, of those elements, playing an important role when trying to mitigate radon accumulation. Current methodologies developed to determine D are difficult to apply. ISO 11665-13 imposes restrictive conditions on the experimental system and requires the application of numerical methods. In the methodology the problem material is placed between a chamber containing a radon source and an empty one and radon concentration is measured in the chambers. The D closer to the experimental data is then selected. In this work, the methodology was improved, and an algorithm was developed to complement the ISO. The algorithm solves for the physical governing equations and finds the value of D that best fits the data by minimising the differences between the predicted and experimental concentrations. Various statistical parameters and stop conditions were studied to determine when an optimal D was found. A validation procedure was developed for internal validation, and results were compared with the literature for external validation. Additional results are presented for materials not found in the literatureThis research was partially funded by the Nuclear Safety Council

Influence of gestational weight gain on the nutritional status of offspring at birth and at 5 years of age
Objective: To determine the influence of pre-pregnancy maternal BMI and increases in maternal weight during
pregnancy on perinatal and child outcomes at birth and at 5 years.
Research design/setting: A prospective cohort study was conducted between November 2016 and December 2021.
The participants were a total of 115 women-child dyads, selected from among pregnant women receiving routine
prenatal care in different health centres belonging to 2 health districts. Follow-ups were conducted with the
women during pregnancy and with their children during the 10 days after birth and at 5 years.
Findings: The total weight gain during pregnancy is influenced by an inadequate pre-pregnancy BMI (0.03; 95 %
CI, 0.004 – 0.25; P=.001) and a greater increase in maternal BMI during the first and second term of pregnancy.
A greater increase in BMI during pregnancy was associated with higher breastfeeding rates both in the short term
(1.21; 95 % CI, 1.01–1.44; P = 0.04) and the long term (12 months: 1.30; 95 % CI, 1.02 – 1.67; P = 0.04; 24
months: 1.30; 95 % CI, 1.02 – 1.69; P = 0.04). No links were found between gains in maternal weight and the
weight of the newborn, nor between maternal weight and/or pre-pregnancy BMI with the nutritional status of
the child.
Key conclusions: After studying these results, it was concluded that promoting and implementing health and
education policies focused on enhancing maternal nutritional status is essential to improve the nutritional status
of children.
Implications for practice: Healthy gestational weight gain (GWG) is an important issue to be addressed by the
midwife in primary care, both in the preconception period and throughout pregnancy.
As a result, it is important that the midwife is trained and has the appropriate resources and tools to work with
pregnant women individually and collectively. In addition to paying attention to overweight and obese pregnant
women, the midwife should also pay attention to women with a normal BMI, as they seem to have greater
difficulty in maintaining a healthy weight gain.
Another line of intervention to be addressed is breastfeeding (BF), where the midwife should be the main point of
reference from the beginning of this process, taking into account the relationship between BMI and BFEnfermerí
The evolution of the slopes of the Sierra de Alhama (Granada and Malaga provinces). Influence of the geologic structure and the paleoseismicity
and S slopes. On its southern slope there is an important development of coherent landslides that are absent on the north slope. These have been produced by the different structure of that mountain
on each slope, combined with erosion, and the probable action of
important paleoearthquake
This study focuses on the analysis of the oncolites found in the Allueva Fm, an uppermost Cretaceous (middle-upper Campanian) alluvial unit deposited during the initial stages of development of the compressional Montalbán Subbasin (Iberian Chain). Successive oncolitic levels are found in the upper part of the formation, wes-twards the locality of Fonfría (northern Teruel province). There, the 45 m-thick succession logged consists of an association of oncolitic limestones, mudstones and marlstones. Oncoid sampling has been done for petrographic description and isotopic analysis. Oncoids are accumulated in up to 1 m-thick lenticular levels, and show spheri-cal to elliptical shapes with sizes ranging between 1 and 15 cm, the smallest being oncoids dominant. Oncoid lamination is concentri-cal with almost no irregularities (SS-C oncoids), indicating constant movement.
