How to teac morpology troug te linguistic landscape of store names

    No full text
This proposal aims to introduce the concept of linguistic landscape, review its didactic application, and plan proposals to demonstrate that the insertion of linguistic landscape can be a new dynamic for teaching the morphology of the Spanish language in the classroom. The methodology used for the investigation consists of creating a corpus that is partly captured from photographs of different towns and neighborhoods in the province of Huelva. Once collected, a didactic proposal was grouped according to the morphological processes followed for the configuration of these labels, and subsequently, a didactic proposal was created to teach the morphology of these statements in language classes. We conclude by demonstrating the need to update pedagogical methodologies within the scope of lexical morphology, especially in Secondary Education. This desire to overcome is installed within an assumption we intend to build: learning grammatical content must always be carried out within the real language and context. The inclusion of LL in teaching must be a new dynamic for the class, as it can strengthen the language study and contribute to forming incidental learning during the classroom, especially focusing on the content of what is taught in a different way, which makes the teaching/learning process of this grammatical content taken from the street to classes more pleasant and effectiveFilologí

Media literacy and the evolution of media over the past decades have profoundly transformed education and society at large. This phenomenon has been driven by the new media ecologies, which have been studied by prominent researchers in the fields of new media ecologies and learning. These ecologies encompass both media usage and the learning process, as individuals navigate both environments simultaneously. Educommunication, emerging as a tool to empower vulnerable groups and promote critical and humane education, has played a crucial role in technical training and the dissemination of knowledge in communities, addressing topics related to agriculture, health, social advocacy, and daily life. The inclusion of media literacy in government educational agendas has been a significant advancement, but continued efforts are needed in the training of educators and citizens in this area, as well as in the preservation of ancestral knowledge and local cultural heritage, which are essential for a society's identity. Globalization, coupled with technological advancement and the emergence of new forms of communication and entertainment, has brought about profound societal changes, influencing customs and culture in various regions. However, the same population that consumes and produces content through technology also holds the power to preserve its cultural heritage. This research focuses on the study of digital narratives and their role in promoting local cultural heritage dissemination, with the case study being the province of El Oro in Ecuador. The scientific problem posed is how to utilize educommunication and digital narratives to enhance heritage education within a local context. Possible causes are identified, such as the lack of educational strategies related to cultural heritage, limited regional dissemination of cultural heritage, and a lack of awareness regarding the application of new media ecologies in non-formal education. The overarching objective of the research is to establish a connection between the study of educommunication and digital narratives in the dissemination of cultural heritage as part of strengthening the identity of El Oro province. To achieve this goal, specific objectives are proposed, including the evaluation of educommunicational content generation, the comparison of perceptions among various cultural and academic stakeholders, and the identification of intercultural digital narratives that contribute to the reinforcement of local identity. Ultimately, narrative creation emerges as an invaluable resource in the digital era for disseminating and educating about cultural heritage. The combination of visual, auditory, and narrative elements on communicational platforms allows for the creation of experiences that capture the attention of diverse audiences and facilitate understanding and connection with cultural heritage. Furthermore, the application of crossmedia or transmedia narratives enables interactivity and active audience participation, enriching the user experience and involving local communities in the preservation and promotion of their cultural heritage.Pedagogí

    No full text
:Different international organizations recommend exclusive breastfeeding during the neonate’s first six months of life; however, figures of around 38% are reported at the global level. One of the reasons for early abandonment is the mothers’ perception of supplying insufficient milk to their newborns. The objective of this research is to assess how mothers’ perceived level of self-efficacy during breastfeeding affects their ability to breastfeed and the rates of exclusive breastfeeding up to six months postpartum. Methods:A systematic review for the 2000–2023 period was conducted in the following databases: Cochrane, Web of Science, Scopus, PubMed, Science Direct, and CINAHL. Original articles, clinical trials, and observational studies in English and Spanish were included. Results:The results comprised 18 articles in the review (20062023), with an overall sample of 2004 participants. All studies were conducted with women who wanted to breastfeed, used the Breastfeeding Self-Efficacy Scale or its short version to measure postpartum self-efficacy levels, and breastfeeding rates were assessed up to 6 months postpartum. Conclusions:The present review draws on evidence suggesting that mothers’ perceived level of self-efficacy about their ability to breastfeed affects rates of exclusive breastfeeding up to 6 months postpartum. High levels of self-efficacy are positively related to the establishment and maintenance of exclusive breastfeeding; however, these rates decline markedly at 6 months postpartumEnfermerí

Trans people face a socio-political context marked by cisheteronormativity and in which their gender identity can be a cause of rejection and discrimination in different spheres (Gallardo and Espinosa, 2019). The purpose of this research was to explore the situation of a group of transgender people in Spain, focusing on the analysis of their identity experiences, as well as the role played by fa-mily, friends and associations in their life trajectories. For this purpose, qualitative research was carried out with 13 trans people. Semi-structured interviews were used and a content analysis was carried out using the phenomenological approach. Among the main results found, it is worth highlighting that the family and peer group are essential references for trans people. In particular, having their support and recognition can be fundamental during the process of identity construction. Within friendships, it is important to point out that many of the people interviewed value their LGTB friends positively. We conclude the importance that professionals, such as social workers, can have from an affirmative prac-tice in direct and indirect intervention with transgender people to improve their emotional well-being, as well as an advance towards social justice.Sociología, Trabajo Social y Salud Públic

Originality of the work: The vehicle fleet in Spain is one of the major sources of greenhouse gas emissions. The current process of transformation in which it is immersed means that the study and forecast of the evolution of this fleet is of great interest from a social, economic and environmental perspective. Different factors that can condition the evolution of the fleet are described; both quantitatively, in terms of the number and age of the vehicles that make up the fleet, and qualitatively, evaluating the evolution of the different types of engines that can be found. Reasons or motivations: Different factors that can condition the evolution of the fleet are described; both quantitatively, in terms of the number and age of the vehicles that make up the fleet, and qualitatively, evaluating the evolution of the different types of engines that can be found. Achieved objectives: The main factors that currently affect and condition the evolution of the vehicle fleet in Spain have been identified individually. The study of these variables allows us to establish the necessary bases for modelling the quantitative transformation (progression of the number and age of the fleet) and qualitative transformation (in the different types of engines that make up the fleet).Ingeniería Eléctrica y Térmica, de Diseño y Proyecto

    No full text
The Scale of Attitude towards Homosexuality (EAH-10) has been used with the aim of studying the relationship between such attitude and some sociodemographic variables; some psychometric properties of the scale have also been analyzed. A survey-type investigation is exposed in which 693 students from the University of Huelva (Spain) have participated. The results show that the attitudes in which a greater rejection of homosexuality is intuited are those that correspond to the male gender, with those students who have religious beliefs, who define themselves as heterosexual and those who study in technical degrees. It has also been possible to verify that the scale improves considerably by removing some items (although the original structure of two factors is ratified: acceptance and rejection). In conclusion, it is noted that it is necessary to propose more inclusive educational actions to integrate training in equality and sexual diversity into university curriculaPedagogí

Distribution of trace and rare earth elements in the estuary of Ría de Huelva (SW Spain): Field data and geochemical modeling

    No full text
The geochemistry of the Ría de Huelva estuary (Spain) has been widely studied owing to its unique conditions due to mixing of acid mine drainage (AMD), river water and seawater, which have been aggravated by the existence of an adjacent phosphate fertilizer plant and its associated phosphogypsum stack. To better understand the complex geochemistry of the overall estuarine system, we make use of (1) measured concentrations of relevant trace elements (rare earth elements (REEs) and metal(loid)s) in the sediments and waters of the estuary and (2) geochemical modeling which combines mixing and adsorption processes. Our study sheds light on the elemental distribution in the sediments and water in the water-mixing area. As seawater neutralizes the acidity of the river water (pH increases to 6.2) colloids of Fe- and Aloxyhydroxysulphates (schwertmannite and basaluminite, respectively) precipitate as concentrations of aqueous Fe and Al increase. These phases have a high adsorption capacity and play a critical role in the geochemistry of the aquatic system by retaining Cu, Pb, Cr, As, P, REEs and smaller amounts of Zn, Co, Ni and Mn. The geochemical model reproduces the behaviour of the aqueous REEs, requiring high S/L ratios at pH ≥ 3.5 and participation of sediments and colloids in the reactions to match the field data. The evaluation of the effect of the adjacent phosphogypsum stack on the estuarine geochemistry shows that the stack has a notorious impact on the geochemistry of the surrounding estuarine environment owing to the release of high quantities of phosphate. This work is part of the CGL2017-82331-R, PID2020-119196RB-C21 and PID2020-119196RB-C22 projects funded by MCIN/AEI/10.13039/501100011033/, with contribution of FEDER funds, and by the 2021SGR00308 project funded by the Catalan Government. The inclusion of archaisms in the 12th edition is a characteristic feature that distinguishes it from the 11th (1869) and 13th (1899) editions, which immediately preceded and followed it, respectively. The presence of archaisms in corpora was analysed and their use in texts was studied according to their typology, author, and date. This analysis is followed by the explanation contained in historical and etymological dictionaries. This provides a detailed description of the type of archaisms that the Academy incorporated into its dictionary in the last quarter of the 19th century and the sources and texts they use

The Influence of Likes and Sexist Attitudes on Adolescent Self-Esteem in Social Networks

    No full text
The Internet allows teenagers to express their identity through the publication of images and texts on social networks, but sometimes they may develop self-esteem problems as a result. The present study analyzed self-esteem levels, and their relationship with sexism, Internet use and the influence of likes, in 309 subjects, by asking them about Internet use, social networks, self-esteem and sexism. The results showed low levels of self-esteem, although boys scored higher on the overall scale and for hostile sexism. Similarly, those with higher percentages of low self-esteem showed higher scores for benevolent sexism. It can be concluded that the use of social networks and the Internet, in relation to sexist attitudes, influences adolescents’ self-esteem and social construction.PedagogíaPsicología Social, Evolutiva y de la Educació
