    ABSTRACT: This article examines the correspondence of Brazilian writer Erico Verissimo, with particular attention to his letters exchanged with American philosopher James Feibleman, in order to explore how Verissimo articulated his literary, intellectual, and ethical engagement within an inter-American network of cultural exchange. By analyzing the functions and meanings of epistolary writing in both Verissimo’s fiction and his everyday practice, the study argues that letters served as a privileged space for building sociability, negotiating authorial identity, and reflecting on aesthetic, political, and intellectual debates of the twentieth century. Drawing on this epistolary corpus, the article shows how letter-writing embodies Verissimo’s ethical, democratic, and cosmopolitan orientation while shedding light on essential dimensions of his literary work and his public role as an intellectual. KEYWORDS: Erico Verissimo; James Feibleman; Letters; Transnational intellectual networksRESUMO: Este artigo examina a correspondência de Erico Verissimo, com foco especial nas cartas trocadas com o filósofo norte-americano James Feibleman, a fim de compreender como o escritor gaúcho articulou sua atuação literária, intelectual e ética em um contexto interamericano de circulação de ideias. Ao analisar usos e funções da escrita epistolar tanto na obra ficcional quanto na prática cotidiana de Verissimo, o estudo mostra que as cartas constituem um espaço privilegiado de construção de sociabilidade, negociação de identidades autorais e reflexão crítica sobre estética, política e vida intelectual no século XX. A partir desse conjunto epistolar, argumenta-se que a escrita de cartas funciona como testemunho de uma consciência ética, democrática e cosmopolita, ao mesmo tempo em que ilumina aspectos fundamentais da obra e da trajetória pública de Erico Verissimo.     MULTICOMPONENT SPECTROPHOTOMETRIC METHOD FOR SIMULTANEOUS ANALYSIS OF DELAPRIL AND INDAPAMIDE IN TABLETS

    A multicomponent ultraviolet (UV) spectrophotometric method was developed and validated for simultaneous determination of delapril (DEL) and indapamide (IND) in tablets employing the partial least squares regression (PLSR) approach. The PLSR method was developed by a multilevel factorial design using 25 synthetic mixtures of drugs and a significant predict model (p < 0.05) were obtained at 225 nm for DEL (r2 = 0.9992) and 243 nm for IND (r2 = 0.9997). Validation parameters such as the specificity, linearity, precision, accuracy and robustness were evaluated in accordance with the ICH requirements, giving satisfactory results within the acceptable range.     Analysis of drugs requires standing search for reliable analytical techniques, essential to assure their identification and concentration in several matrices. In this context, the edition of scientific works has the objective of contributing with the researchers of the analytical area collaborating with the diffusion and knowledge related to this subject. The editorial team is celebrating the first volume of the journal Drug Analytical Research, a result of the effort of professors and collaborators who have taken up the challenge of expanding the analytical research involving therapeutic substances. The scope of the journal is focused on the analytical determination of drugs in different matrices, impurities, propositions of new analytical methods, as well as the systematic review of issues of separation and quantitative determination. At this moment, we would like to invite to access the website of the journal through the address (http://seer.ufrgs.br/index/php/dar) and appreciate the articles and reviews included in this first edition. Finally, we thank all those who supported this project, especially to Dra.     Doxazosin is an important drug used to treat hypertension and prostatic hyperplasia. An enantiomeric (R)/(S) doxazosinmesylate mixture was complete characterized by NMR and additionally FT-IR spectroscopy techniques.     Políticas Públicas de esporte educacional: a gestão do Programa Segundo Tempo no Brasil de 2003 a 2024

    The objective is to analyze the management of the Segundo Tempo Program (PST), based on the objectives, target audience, quantitative goals, workforce, civil society participation, and social control. This is a descriptive qualitative study with a temporal scope spanning from 2003 and 2024. Based on document analysis, the following categories were established: objectives; target audience; quantitative goals; workforce; participation and social control. The results showed that although the PST proposed the democratization of educational sport, it prioritized children, adolescents, and young people in social vulnerability, based on a functional-utilitarian conception of sport. Over the years, the quantitative goals of the PST fluctuated, while the number of professionals and the role of the federal government were reduced, increasingly concentrating responsibilities within partner organizations. Social control within the PST was bureaucratic, with no participation from civil society.El objetivo es analizar la gestión del Programa Segundo Tiempo (PST) a partir de los objetivos, público objetivo, metas cuantitativas, equipo de trabajo, participación de la sociedad civil y control social. Se trata de una investigación descriptiva, de enfoque cualitativo, con un recorte temporal comprendido entre 2003 y 2024. A partir de un análisis documental, se establecieron las siguientes categorías: objetivos; público objetivo; metas cuantitativas; equipo de trabajo; participación y control social. Los resultados demostraron que, aunque el PST propuso una perspectiva de democratización del deporte educativo, se produjo una focalización en niños, adolescentes y jóvenes en situación de vulnerabilidad social, basada en una concepción funcional-utilitarista del deporte. A lo largo de los años, las metas cuantitativas del PST oscilaron, y tanto el número de profesionales del equipo de trabajo como el rol del gobierno federal se redujeron, concentrando así las responsabilidades en las entidades conveniadas. El control social en el PST se dio de manera burocrática, sin participación de la sociedad civil.O objetivo é analisar a gestão do Programa Segundo Tempo (PST) a partir dos objetivos, público-alvo, metas quantitativas, equipe de trabalho, participação da sociedade civil e mecanismos de controle social. Trata-se de uma pesquisa descritiva, de abordagem qualitativa, com recorte temporal entre 2003 e 2024.     Saltar muros, encantar escolas: o Parkour como prática corporal de resistência e metáfora pedagógica contra-hegemônica na Educação Física Escolar

    This essay proposes a reflection on Parkour as a bodily practice of resistance and a counter-hegemonic pedagogical metaphor in School Physical Education (SPE). In dialogue with the Brazilian National Common Curricular Base (BNCC), we discuss the political and pedagogical meanings that emerge from thematizing Parkour as an urban practice of overcoming obstacles. We argue that Parkour, more than a bodily technique, functions as an educational provocation, challenging normative curricular logics, bodily hierarchies, and traditional conceptions of teaching. By reclaiming the potential of the moving body as both language and critique, we contend that practices such as Parkour can enchant School Physical Education by expanding horizons of invention, calculated risk, and teacher–student autonomy. In times of exhaustion of traditional models, reflecting on Parkour as a political-pedagogical gesture also means opening pathways toward a more creative, inclusive, and contemporary school.Este ensayo propone una reflexión sobre el Parkour como práctica corporal de resistencia y metáfora pedagógica contrahegemónica en Educación Física Escolar (EFE). En diálogo con la Base Nacional Común Curricular (BNCC), discutimos los sentidos políticos y pedagógicos que emergen de la tematización del Parkour como práctica urbana de superación de obstáculos. Argumentamos que el Parkour, más que una técnica corporal, actúa como una provocación educativa, desafiando las lógicas curriculares normativas, las jerarquías corporales y las concepciones tradicionales de enseñanza. Al rescatar el potencial del cuerpo en movimiento como lenguaje y crítica, defendemos que prácticas como el Parkour pueden encantar la EFE al ampliar horizontes de invención, riesgo calculado y autonomía docente y disciente. En tiempos de agotamiento de los modelos tradicionales, reflexionar sobre el Parkour como gesto político-pedagógico también abrir paso a una escuela más creativa, inclusiva y conectada con las dinámicas contemporáneas.Este ensaio propõe uma reflexão sobre o Parkour como prática corporal de resistência e metáfora pedagógica contra-hegemônica na Educação Física Escolar (EFE). Em diálogo com a Base Nacional Comum Curricular (BNCC), discutimos os sentidos políticos e pedagógicos que emergem da tematização do Parkour como prática urbana de superação de obstáculos.
