Poesia, o la seconda natura. Negri e Leopardi: “una teoria materialistica dell’immaginazione”
In Lenta Ginestra (1987), Antonio Negri reinterprets Giacomo Leopardi's poetry through a materialistic lens, emphasizing the role of imagination as a transformative force. Negri argues that Leopardi’s work should not be confined to static, nostalgic interpretations but rather seen as an active, evolving engagement with the present. He conceptualizes the "second nature" in Leopardi’s work as the artificial structures shaping human existence, which the imagination can disrupt and reconstitute. For Negri, poetry is not an escape from material reality but a means to break its limitations and create new forms of meaning, thus presenting imagination as a material, collective power that reshapes the world

Questa pubblicazione digitale è l’anteprima del secondo volume della collana Sinergie: il 2025 è dedicato ai soggetti, gli attori, i cittadini e gli abitanti del territorio del Basso Piave Urbano. Ambient vibration data for SHM of historic structures
Structural health monitoring (SHM) based on ambient vibration sources is suitable for historic buildings due to its rapid, non-invasive and reliable approach. It is a consolidated methodology for testing construction and a good alternative in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), for estimating structural behavior over time. This research shows the effectiveness of ambient vibration data in assessing the structural health monitoring of heritage. By analyzing this data, changes indicating damage or deterioration can be detected, enabling continuous monitoring without extensive and invasive physical tests.
The research includes case studies of historic masonry arch bridges in Venice (Italy), showcasing the practical applications of ambient vibration monitoring. Results indicate that this method can accurately identify structural issues and provide early warnings. Furthermore, this data helps in the calibration and validation of numerical models, enhancing structural assessments accuracy, and potential application for Machine Learning. The findings emphasize the importance of vibration-based monitoring techniques to ensure the longevity and safety of historic structures and contribute to the preservation of cultural heritage
Soil management strategies for mitigating degradation and enhancing sustainability in sloped Stagnosols under maize cultivation – first results
Conservation tillage management on rainfed croplands aims to improve the soil's physical environment, reduce soil erodibility, and enhance conservation. However, transitioning from plowing to conservation tillage can present challenges, particularly regarding soil compaction and erosion-runoff dynamics. This study comprehensively evaluates soil degradation in an area characterized by maize cultivation in Croatia on Stagnosols extremely prone to compaction and erosion. During 2024, the impacts of plowing, chisel, and subsoiling were monitored, considering soil properties, erosion, and element losses. Nine experimental plots (100 m x 8 m) were established, each equipped with a runoff and sediment collection system. Soil erosion and sediment transport were monitored throughout the maize growing season. The results reveal significantly reduced sediment concentrations by 49.1% at chisel plots compared to plowing plots, while subsoiling led to a 77.7% reduction. The highest sediment loss occurred under plowing, while chisel decreased soil loss by 73.4% and subsoiling by 95.9%. Nutrient losses followed a similar pattern. The sediment collected from plowing plots was significantly enriched with nutrients and heavy metals, compared to bulk soil, highlighting the role of soil erosion rates in nutrient depletion and pollution. In contrast, subsoiling showed no significant differences between sediment and bulk soil concentrations, reinforcing its role in reducing fine particle detachment and nutrient loss. Subsoiling significantly reduced bulk density and penetration resistance at 10-30 cm depth. The highest water-holding capacity was determined under subsoiling, i.e. it was 7.6% greater than under plowing, contributing to better soil moisture retention. The highest maize biomass yields were found (p > 0.05) under subsoiling (25.06 t ha-1); they were 11 and 19% greater than in the plowing and chisel treatment, respectively. Subsoiling significantly improves soil structure, minimizes erosion, and reduces nutrient losses, making it a viable conservation strategy for sloped agricultural landscapes. The substantially reduced sediment transport under subsoiling indicates that deep loosening enhances soil stability and infiltration, providing long-term benefits for sustainable soil management and water quality protection on Stagnosols

Indagini sullo spazio post-sovietico : Architetture religiose fra eredità e trasformazioni in Est Europa, Caucaso e Asia Centrale
Il volume offre una riflessione inedita sullo spazio post-sovietico visto attraverso la lente del patrimonio religioso. Indaga uno degli aspetti che più caratterizza l’attualità, in quanto di grande rottura rispetto al periodo precedente, quando gli Stati oggi indipendenti erano parte dell’Unione Sovietica dove veniva promosso l’ateismo di Stato. Si affronta la trasformazione dello spazio sacro post-sovietico sotto molteplici aspetti analizzando lo stato di conservazione del patrimonio religioso, la ricostruzione di luoghi di culto demoliti in epoca sovietica nonché la massiccia realizzazione di nuovi edifici religiosi. Questi interventi contemporanei danno una propria interpretazione dell’antichità, della tradizione, del patrimonio da tramandare e aiutano a comprendere le tante metamorfosi di questo spazio così strategico negli equilibri globali
