    No full text
Obesity levels are increasing at an alarming rate and presents tremendous threat to the general population. Being overweight or obese can have multiple negative psychological consequences on well-being and health. The development of weight stigmatisation and shaming amongst healthcare professionals is also growing at a significant rate and can contribute to the negative psychological impact. Through research it has been found that healthcare professionals’ inertia to engage with individuals who are overweight or obese is related to the increasing levels of obesity. The aim of this qualitative study was to investigate the healthcare professional’s experiences and perceptions of stigmatisation and shaming of individuals who are overweight/obese. Various themes emerged from the interviews such as the anti-fat attitudes from healthcare professionals and potential strategies to reduce stigmatisation. Overall, healthcare providers aim to provide the highest level of healthcare to all and to tackle the rate obesity must reduce their levels of patient stigmatisation

Cosmetic procedures are growing rapidly in popularity each year. The aim of the current study was to investigate whether body-esteem, social comparison, gender and social media addiction were predictors of wanting a cosmetic procedure. One hundred and fifty-six participants filled out a questionnaire. The study was of a quantitative correlational design. Statistically reliable scales were used. Participants were asked how likely they would be to undergo a cosmetic procedure. Results indicate that low body-esteem, negative social comparison and high social media addiction predicted higher levels of a desire for a cosmetic procedure. Additionally, females were more likely to want a cosmetic procedure than males, on average, and females with low body-esteem were more likely to have negative social comparison. This study suggests that there may be underlying influences as to why people undergo cosmetic procedures, theoretical implications are discussed within

The main aim of the research is to identify the ways in which the brand gets influenced due to the online advertisements of Zara. For analysing the objectives developed thereon, correlational design, positivism paradigm and deductive approach were used in the study. Online survey was conducted by making collecting information from 100 Zara customers from Ireland. These customers were selected using convenience sampling method. Quantitative research analysis was applied for performing statistical analysis on the data obtained. The results clearly indicated that except social media advertisements and video advertisements of Zara the other online advertisements, search engine advertisement, display advertisement, email advertisements and online advertisements using mobile applications did not have an influence over customers and nor did it attract the customers. Social media and video advertisements only some influenced the customers and some did not. All the online advertisements help in improving Zara’s brand image. All the online advertisements of the fashion retailer apart from email advertisements have an influence on customer purchase intention. Brand image perceived by the male and female customers do not vary. Customer purchase intention of Zara’s customers however, varies based on gender. It is being recommended for Zara to focus on online advertisements that would enable it to improve brand image and customer purchase intention

The analyses revealed that self-regulation was negatively correlated with academic procrastination, while internet use had a positive correlation with it. No significant correlation was found between academic procrastination and anxiety. Neither was there a significant difference between males and females in academic procrastination levels, or any of the other variables. Self-regulation was found to have a significant negative relationship with internet use. A weak positive correlation as found between internet use and anxiety. Limitations of the current study as well as some possible avenues for future research were discussed. Academic procrastination is a serious, widespread problem for millions worldwide and so requires ongoing research

The main part of the metabolism in the case of the human body is the requirement of the oxygenated blood so that the process can be complete. In the result of the metabolism, the wastes and the deoxygenated blood needs to be pumped out from the different organs present in the body so that the human body can sustain the process of living. Heart being the pumping organ of the body, not only supplies the oxygenated blood to the different parts of the body but also removes the wastes and the deoxygenated blood. Hence, to take the proper care of the heart the regular check up is very important. There can be many reasons which can be due to genetic history and some of the acquired habits that can result in an adverse effect to the heart. There has been a subsequent amount of research works that takes into the account the prediction of the well being of the human heart. In this research we have analysed around 1095 patient cases and tried to identify the important risk factors that can be a primary reason for the heart problems. This research work tries to present a work that can be an immediate step to find a probability score for the heart problem. The different risks factors are those which can be the primary reason for the occurrence of the heart problem. In this research we have analysed different classification models to identify the heart problem. The data collected is from five different cities in India and from different age groups. The primary aim of such activity is to present a transparent solution which can help the patient to know statistically whether there is any probability of happening of any heart problem. This solution is in fact not a replacement for a medical practitioner but rather aiding some help in the diagnostic process of any doctor. This in order creates a transparency in the treatment between a doctor and a patient. The model is checked with the number of False Positives and the False Negative that the model performed and based on that the best algorithm is selected for the prediction
