Un testimone virgiliano di XIV secolo: il ms. Alghero, Biblioteca Comunale “Rafael Sari”, 58
This article focuses on ms. 58 of the Municipal Library of Alghero (Sardinia), recently rediscovered by Maria Teresa Laneri and Andrea Lai of the University of Sassari. Extensively mutilated, the ms. now contains some sections of Vergil’s Aeneid, followed by several texts about Vergil’s biography, Dante Alighieri’s "Epistola" 7 to Henry of Luxembourg, and Petrarch’s "Epystola" 2.5. Thanks to a comparison with other manuscripts, the article shows the affinities between the text of the "Aeneid" and those of other known witnesses, identifies the presence of a medieval anthology of texts related to Vergil, and proposes hypotheses on the reasons that led to combine Dante and Petrarch’s epistles with Vergil’s works
The Digital Evolution in healthcare: Mapping the Socio-Digital Determinants of Emerging Inequities
Continuous digital innovations are introducing profound changes in all aspects of people’s daily lives. The healthcare sector and the process of providing healthcare services are also facing the changes imposed by digital evolution. The introduction and application of ICT advances are enormous, such as electronic health records, high-definition images, digital reports or even wearable devices that allow constant and rapid monitoring of health data and in-formation. Academic literature has focused on the enormous advantages that technological diffusion and technological evolution have generated in the healthcare sector. At the same time, the introduction and use of these digital evolutions create new disparities and difficulties in accessing healthcare ser-vices. With these premises, the objective of this study is to understand how digital evolution and the introduction of new technologies contribute to the cre-ation of inequalities in the healthcare process. This study is based on a literature review. Two main scientific and international databases were used (a) SCOPUS and (b) Web of Knowledge (WoS). Scientific documents were extracted and re-trieved on April 10, 2025. Only peer-reviewed journal articles published in English were considered (books, book chapters/reviews, professional articles, conference proceedings, working papers, reports, unpublished works were not considered. Finally, 64 scientific documents are selected. The results confirm that digitalization in the healthcare sector is a central topic, which is character-ized by interdisciplinarity and, consequently, the use of different theoretical and methodological approaches. An interesting result is the absence of explicit keywords of “ethics” or “data privacy”. Future studies should focus on further exploring the relationships between ethics and data privacy or strategies to re-duce the digital divide in older populations

RC-columns subjected to lateral cyclic force with different FRCM-strengthening schemes: experimental and numerical investigation
The vulnerability of Reinforced Concrete (RC) structures against seismic events has prompted extensive research into retrofitting techniques aimed at enhancing their seismic performance. Among these, Fabric-Reinforced Cementitious Matrix/Mortar (FRCM) systems have gained prominence as promising solutions for strengthening RC-columns. This study presents a comprehensive investigation into the seismic strengthening of RC columns using FRCM, combining experimental and numerical approaches to assess their effectiveness. The experimental phase of this research involved the fabrication of scaled RC-column specimens representing real-world conditions. These columns were subjected to a series of cyclic loading tests to simulate seismic forces. Multiple FRCM configurations, including different fiber types and dosages, were applied to these specimens. The experimental results revealed a substantial increase in the ductility, stiffness, and ultimate strength of the strengthened RC-columns, indicating the potential of FRCM systems as effective seismic retrofit solutions. In parallel, a numerical analysis was conducted using Finite Element Modeling (FEM) to simulate the behavior of the strengthened RC-columns under seismic loading conditions. The FEM simulations were validated against the experimental data, demonstrating good agreement. This numerical investigation allowed for a more in-depth understanding of the stress distribution and deformation patterns within the strengthened columns, aiding in the optimization of FRCM reinforcement strategies. The integrated experimental and numerical investigation presented in this study contributes valuable insights into the seismic strengthening of RC-columns using FRCM systems. It provides a holistic understanding of their performance, including their enhanced load-carrying capacity, as well as improved ductility guiding the adoption of FRCM systems as a viable solution for mitigating seismic risk in existing RC-structures
