Modeling the SL-LET Paradigm in AUTOSAR Adaptive
The AUTOSAR consortium proposed the AUTOSAR Adaptive standard to tackle the challenges introduced by the design of modern automotive systems. It consists of a service-oriented architecture (SoA) implemented in C++ and built on top of POSIX operating systems. However, unlike the previous AUTOSAR Classic specifications, this novel standard does not address non-functional requirements, including determinism, which is of key importance to guarantee the system's functional safety. This paper proposes a modeling extension to the AUTOSAR Adaptive standard aiming at guaranteeing a deterministic execution by leveraging the System-Level Logical Execution Time (SL-LET) paradigm, already used in the context of AUTOSAR Classic. A prototype implementation is also proposed, which is used to experimentally corroborate the feasibility of the proposed model extension with an evaluation based on a realistic automotive application built on the official AUTOSAR Adaptive Platform Demonstrator (APD)

Identification of Connexin 26 on Extracellular Vesicles from Human Cardiomyocytes and Plasma: Novel Insights into miRNA Loading and Oxidative Injury
Connexin 26 (Cx26), a gap junction protein, is poorly understood in the context of cardiac milieu, including extracellular vesicles (EVs). Here, we report for the first time the presence of Cx26 on EVs obtained from human induced pluripotent stem cell-derived cardiomyocytes and human plasma. Using an in vitro model of oxidative stress and apoptosis in dH9c2 cardiomyocytes, we observed a significant decrease in Cx26 levels in EVs released by injured cells, accompanied by changes in EV concentration, particularly in exosomes. Our findings revealed that Cx26 modulates the selective loading of specific microRNAs, namely miR-1 and miR-30a, into EVs, suggesting a novel non-canonical, gap junction-independent role of Cx26 in EV-mediated cardiac signaling. Analysis of plasma EVs from healthy donors confirmed the presence of Cx26-positive EVs of cardiomyocyte origin, indicated by co-staining with cardiac troponin T. These findings suggest that further studies on the measurement of Cx26 on circulating EVs from patients with ischemic heart disease and heart failure are warranted to clarify its potential as a biomarker for cardiomyocyte injury in cardiomyopathies with oxidative stress and apoptosis

“Unfinished Business”: Italy’s Missing Approach to Colonial Returns in a Comparative Perspective
Compared to other European countries with a colonial past, Italy has shown limited engagement in the ongoing international debate over the restitution of cultural heritage looted during colonial rule. The lack of a coherent legal framework and the absence of structured governmental initiatives have contributed to a significant delay when compared to countries such as France, Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands, all of which have adopted targeted legal instruments and proactive policies in recent years. While Italy carried out a few high-profile restitutions in the early 2000s, including the Venus of Cyrene and the Obelisk of Axum, the momentum has since stalled. Only recently, following the establishment of a specialised ministerial Working Group on Colonial Collections in 2021 and the emergence of some independent initiatives by museums and cultural institutions, has the issue begun to re-emerge in public and academic discourse. Nevertheless, these developments remain fragmented and have yet to produce tangible regulatory outcomes. This paper offers a comparative legal and policy-based analysis of the approaches adopted by other European states, with a particular focus on the distinction between bottom-up initiatives led by cultural institutions and governmental strategies. By exploring paradigmatic models in France, Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands, the paper seeks to identify patterns that could inform a more coherent and comprehensive Italian response and potentially be applied in practice. The paper briefly examines Italy’s engagement at the international level and reflects on the case of the Cotton Zemí, a Taíno idol held in the Museum of Anthropology and Ethnography in Turin, whose temporary loan to the Dominican Republic exemplifies a cautious and fragmented stance on colonial restitutions. Ultimately, the paper argues that, despite the reactivation of discourse and some modest developments, Italy still lacks a systematic and legally grounded approach to the restitution of colonial looted cultural property
