Bio-composts, soil microbial community, antimicrobial resistance: An ex-situ pilot study
The impact of bio-compost on the diversity, composition, and structure of soil microbial communities remains a topic requiring further exploration. Globally, many agricultural soils face degradation, prompting the development of diverse strategies for their restoration. Beneficial soil microorganisms are garnering significant attention due to their crucial role in promoting sustainable agricultural practices, particularly the application of bio-compost. This study presents preliminary findings on the potential effects of a bio-compost on the microbial communities of treated soils, assessing its sustainability in consideration of the possible impact on the spread of antibiotic-resistant bacteria (ARBs) in the view of a One Health approach. Experiments were conducted using an ex-situ pilot plant setup, where agricultural soil was treated with two types of bio-compost derived from organic waste. Biomolecular analyses were applied to both untreated and bio-compost-treated soils, enabling an assessment of microbial evolution over time. Early results from a one-year trial revealed that bio-compost treatment fosters bacterial proliferation in the soil, showing consistent growth across the study period. However, species analysis indicated that certain microorganisms introduced to the bio-compost gained dominance, leading to the disappearance of some native species during the experiment. ARBs were searched by cultivation on selective media. Preliminary data indicate the presence of ARBs in the bio-compost, highlighting the importance in performing such analyses when considering an agricultural practice in a One Health view. The data obtained from the experiments on the ex-situ plant, suggest that the treatment with the bio-composts does not alter the autochthonous bacteria community in terms of ARBs

A Cognitive Architecture for Embodied AI based on LLM Common-sense Knowledge
The increased performance of LLMs has allowed them to be employed in a wide variety of language-related tasks. In this work, we propose a robot-agnostic Cognitive Architecture for Human-Robot Interaction (HRI) that allows the robot on which it is mounted to reason about its embodiment and the environment around it to decide how to act during interactions with humans. Our architecture includes a long-term memory, which allows the robot to remember past information, and a series of modules called Supervisors. The supervisors role is to orchestrate the interaction process in order to ensure that the robot's behavior does not diverge from the desired one, respecting security criteria that depend on different factors, such as the domain in which the robot is located, the users, and the robot embodiment. To highlight the adaptability of our architecture, we tested it on four different robots, each with a different set of skills. We evaluated this architecture during a dialogue between two robots, NAO and SMARRtino, in which they had to reason about their embodiment and explain to each other what they can do with it

Corrigendum: Simultaneous measurements of unstable and stable Alfvén eigenmodes in JET (2022 Nucl. Fusion 62 112008)
The equation given in section 3, for the relative uncertainty in radiative damping, is incorrect. The individual terms must be summed in quadrature, as shown in equation (1). Also, the proportionality is replaced with approximate equality. (Formula presented)
The interest raised by the heritage of madhouse complexes has allowed us to undertake research that links historical, cultural, and social areas. Biophilic design concepts were applied to, integrating new technological solutions that have a direct relationship with nature, not only as an element able to generate well-being but also to offer natural solutions for regenerative interventions. Thus, a reconnection with nature is possible, not as a form of luxury, but as a necessity for health and wellbeing
