Integrated Reporting, Stakeholders' Perspective and Sustainable Disclosure: Systematic Insights From Empirical Research
Over the past decade, there has been a surge in academic and professional debates regarding the role of integrated reporting
(IR) as a potential instrument for disclosing a set of comprehensive information to the stakeholder, integrating the company's
sustainability performance. Although the literature on IR has rapidly progressed, the role of IR in the sustainability domain
remains controversial, partly due to differing interpretations and insufficient focus on holistic frameworks. By drawing upon
the theoretical foundations of stakeholder theory, this study aims to address this issue with a systematic review of 170 empirical
studies published in high-quality journals between 2012 and 2023. Our analysis shows that the empirical research has evolved
around four key themes—IR adoption, IR quality, IR assurance, IR Efficiency—each contributing to clarifying the role of IR as
a stakeholder-oriented reporting practice. We found that the literature is almost balanced between qualitative and quantitative
approaches, with stakeholder theory most often employed to examine the benefits of IR in managing stakeholder relationships as
part of corporate strategy. The review opens future research avenues for investigation on less explored topics and sub-fields in IR
for supporting the role of a holistic-integrated approach in the sustainability agend
On the Aggregated Emission of Large-Scale Wind Farms for Harmonic Studies
In this paper the aggregated modelling of large-scale wind farms for harmonic studies is considered. It analyzes the limitations of the IEC 61000-3-6 summation rule (IEC-SR) for harmonic emission assessment using a probabilistic framework. A new simplified analytical model is proposed to estimate the harmonic current emissions of a wind farm including several wind turbines (WTs) that are Inverter-Based Resources (IBRs). A sensitivity analysis of the WT's harmonic current emissions, considering the main operation and design parameters of WTs, allows for ascertaining the main uncertain variables to be included in the probabilistic framework. The analytical model is validated using a simplified electromagnetic transient model (EMT) of a complete wind power plant. The proposed probabilistic procedure was applied to a typical radial topology of WF to evaluate the harmonic emissions and the IEC-SR exponents comparing the results obtained by the new analytical model and the EMT time domain simulations

Observing Green Tide in L- and C-band SAR Imagery
Green tides, characterized by the excessive prolif-eration of green macroalgae, have become a significant coastal issue in the Yellow Sea, adversely affecting both the marine environment and coastal economies. Monitoring these events primarily relies on optical satellite imagery; however, its effectiveness is often compromised by cloud cover. To address this limitation, Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) imagery serves as a valuable supplement due to its all-weather capabilities. Operational SAR satellites commonly operate in L-, C-, and X-bands, with C-band being the most extensively utilized for green tide detection. This study aims to enhance the multi-system approach for increased revisit times by comparing the imaging characteristics of green tide mats using near-synchronous L-band Advanced Land Observing Satellite-2 (ALOS-2) and C-band Sentinel-1 SAR imagery. The analysis reveals that, in C-band imagery, floating green tide mats consistently appear brighter than the surrounding algae-free sea surfaces. Conversely, in L-band imagery, these mats may appear either brighter or darker relative to the sea surface. Additionally, the normalized radar cross section (NRCS) contrast between green tide mats and seawater is stronger in co-polarized channel compared to cross-polarized one

Uncovering network changes in the evolution of an innovation niche
The present paper aims at unravelling the networking dynamics regarding the evolution of an innovation-niche, by looking at its network configuration over time. To this end, we investigate the actors’ role within the network as well as the network architecture. We employ the social network analysis (SNA) to four different but interrelated types of networks characterising the Italian biofuel industry. Each network was investigated in both its development and maturity phase. Our findings show that, over the niche evolution, actors established new relations, increasing networks’ density and making the networks more centralized. Furthermore, while two out of four networks confirmed their small world configuration over time, one (i.e. “communication” network) increased its small-world-ness, providing a larger number of information channels and more social reinforcement chances for niche actors to innovate. Overall, results suggest that policy makers should accompany and ease the innovation-niche evolution path by fostering the participation of the laggard behind and actors' clusterization, moderating any possible lock-in risk
Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Business in A Platform-Shaped Society: A Multi-Level Approach
The article introduces this special issue on Innovation, Entrepreneurship and
Business in a Platform-Shaped Society by proposing a multilevel framework
for studying digital platforms. The framework distinguishes micro, meso and
macro levels and identifies five critical variables that can be analysed at each
level: perspective, processes, role, value and rules. Furthermore, the paper
highlights some essential challenges for digital platforms at each level, which
may be relevant topics for future research. At the micro level, the techno-
logical change of digital platforms and the evolution of participants’ motiva-
tion may represent exciting fields of study. At the meso level, future research
could focus on issues related to the distribution of power and value among
platform stakeholders and their ability to foster collaborative innovation.
At the macro level, regulation, market transformation and sustainability of platform-based ecosystems are relevant topics for future research. The paper
concludes with a short presentation of the articles published in the issue

The Potential Benefits of a Novel Food Supplement Based on Cannabis Sativa, Boswellia, and Fish Oil for Pain and Inflammation in Physical Activity: Unraveling the Role of Orexin-A Modulation
Background: Nutraceuticals have emerged as promising alternatives to conventional pharmacological treatments for managing joint pain and low-grade inflammation in physically active individuals. However, few clinical studies have evaluated the combined metabolic, inflammatory, and neuroendocrine effects of multi-ingredient supplements. This study aimed to evaluate the effects of Flector Softgel FS Integratore, a multi-component food supplement, on joint pain, inflammatory markers, metabolic health, and orexin-A levels in physically active adults. Methods: In this randomized, controlled, low-intervention study, 25 adult participants (aged 30–60 years and amateur athletes engaging in at least 3 sessions/week of moderate physical activity) were assigned to either a treatment group (n = 15 received Flector Softgel FS for 14 days) or a placebo group (n = 10). The supplement contained 500 mg of Cannabis sativa seed oil (THC-free), 250 mg of Boswellia serrata extract, 250 mg of fish oil, 160 mg of omega-3 fatty acids, and 0.6 mg of undenatured type II collagen (UC-II). Pain was assessed using the Visual Analog Scale (VAS). Metabolic parameters, inflammatory cytokines (IL-6, IL-8, TNF-α, IFN-γ, and IL-10), and serum orexin-A levels were measured before and after the intervention. Results: Compared with the placebo, the treatment group showed a significant reduction in VAS scores (p < 0.001), as well as improvements in BMI, insulin, and lipid profiles, and a decrease in pro-inflammatory cytokines (IL-6, IL-8, TNF-α, and IFN-γ). A reduction in orexin-A levels was also observed in the treatment group (p < 0.001), with a positive correlation between orexin-A and perceived pain. No adverse effects were reported. Conclusions: Flector Softgel FS Integratore may be effective in reducing joint pain and systemic inflammation while supporting metabolic health in active adults. These effects may involve indirect modulation of orexin-A, though the exact mechanisms remain to be clarified. Despite the promising results, conclusions regarding efficacy in comparison with NSAIDs should be approached with caution in the absence of a pharmacological control group. Further studies with larger samples and a longer duration are needed
