Physical and mechanical properties of green cementless mortar incorporating waste paper sludge ash
As an alternative to conventional construction material such as normal concrete, waste paper sludge ash (WPSA) based geopolymer is seen as a promising and viable option in construction material selection due to its high amount of aluminum (Al) and silicon (Si) content. This research aims to determine the microstructure and mechanical characteristics of WPSA in geopolymers. The alkaline solution that contains 6 M of sodium hydroxide (NaOH) and sodium silicate (Na2SiO3) was used to activate the geopolymer. The hardened 50 mm-sized mortars were prepared and underwent a heat-cured process for 1 day at various temperatures at 24 ℃, 60 ℃, and 90 ℃, respectively. Then, the mortar cubes were placed in the laboratory until the testing days. A compression test was conducted to identify the strength development of the WPSA-based geopolymer mortar at 7, 14, and 28 days, respectively. Chemical composition was analyzed using X-ray fluorescence (XRF). Furthermore, Fourier-transformed infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) was conducted to ascertain the structural elucidation and scanning electron microscope (SEM) analysis was done to provide microstructural observations of the geopolymer. Based on the XRF analysis, the WPSA has the highest amount of calcium oxide (CaO) instead of aluminum oxide (Al2O3) and silicon dioxide (SiO2), and it reduces the performance of WPSA as a cement replacement material. The ratio of SiO2 and Al2O3 is recorded as 1.1:1. Therefore, it is suitable for bricks and ceramics production instead of concrete production. As for the curing process, the heat-cured method is evident in accelerating strength development in the WPSA-based geopolymer mortar compared to the ambient curing method due to the rapid polymerization process in the geopolymer system. It is proven that 60 ℃ is the optimum temperature for the curing process for geopolymer mortar.

Illegitimacy and orphanhood in Dickens’s Oliver Twist : an Islamic reading
Dickens’s novels were inspired by his commitment to social
reform and justice, as they were driven by his quest to find voices to stand up against injustices and to safeguard the rights of the poor and the orphan in Victorian Britain. Such an altruistic artistic strategy of establishing justice for the downtrodden and the welfare of the orphan resonates with Islamic teachings. Given this affinity, in this paper, I shall examine Dickens’s treatment of illegitimacy and orphanhood
in Oliver Twist through the lens of Islam, including the point that Prophet Muhammad himself was an orphan. Such an interpretation of the novel will inform readers about Islam’s take on these social issues which remain highly relevant to our contemporary complex societies

Fishery resilience in Covid-19 post-pandemic era: sustainable environmental approach for potential challenges in Asia
The COVID-19 pandemic has had a substantial impact on the global fishery industry, causing widespread disruption to supply chains and market demand. This has led to significant economic challenges for fishing communities, particularly in developing countries where fishing is a major source of livelihood. In the challenge of the pandemic, it is important to consider ways to build resilience in the fishery industry to ensure its continued viability in the time to come. One approach to achieving fishery resilience is to focus on sustainable fishing practices. This involves implementing measures to minimize the impacts of fishing on the natural aquatic environment by reducing human intervention such as bycatch and protecting critical habitats. Additionally, investment in aquaculture can help to reduce dependence on wild-capture fishing and provide a more controlled and sustainable source of fish for human consumption. Another important aspect of building fishery resilience is improving supply chain management. This involves establishing more efficient and effective processes for catching, processing, and distributing fish and seafood products, to minimize waste and ensure that products reach markets in a timely manner. Improving supply chain management can also help to reduce the economic impacts of the pandemic by ensuring that fish and seafood products are available for sale even in the face of market disruptions. In conclusion, the COVID-19 pandemic has had a profound impact on the global fishery industries especially Asia–Pacific region, highlighting the need for greater resilience in this critical sector. By means of focusing on sustainable fishing practices and improving supply viability for generations to come chain management, the industry can develop a more sustainable and resilient future, ensuring its viability for generations into the near future
