Obraz komunikowania prawdy w relacji lekarz–pacjent na podstawie serialu Szpital
The image of communicating the truth in the doctor–patient relationship based on the series Hospital. The author assumes in the article that the level of communication axiology is often the only possible form of communication between the patient and the doctor. This meta-space in interpersonal communication is aptly portrayed by the TV series Hospital. Therefore, it shows the philosophy of Józef Tischner’s drama as the ontological basis of the act of communication between the doctor and the patient, which will illuminate the reality of values in the interpersonal space. The text consisted of five parts. The author emphasizes this division due to the variety of research areas of the article. As part of the first research area, he tries to present the communication act in the light of ontology as an entity that can be described in its complexity. The second part of the article will present the philosophy of Józef Tischner’s drama. In the third area of the text, he examines the physician-patient communication pragmatics from the point of view of the axiology of communication. The fourth part, in turn, will be a synthesis of the previous three, in which it attempts to show the communication between the doctor and the patient from an axiological perspective. Within the last – fifth research area, he attempts to update the presented theory in media practice.
The contemporary science and the new theo(cosmo)logy project
Balázs Mezei, in an essay entitled Demythologizing Christian philosophy: an outline, criticizes the position he describes as “cosmotheology”. By this he means a philosophical refl ection on the world that is strongly conditioned by the pre-Copernican conception of the universe. In his opinion, the only solution to the problem of “cosmotheology” is to “demythologize” philosophy, freeing it from all cosmological conditions, which constitute only an unnecessary burden. Michał Heller presents a diff erent attitude. He argues that theology – that is, rational refl ection on Christian revelation – must take into account what in many publications he calls “the current image of the world.” Science is supposed to be a specific locus theologicus: a source of refl ection and theological argumentation. A theologian cannot turn his back on such important issues for modern science as the Big Bang theory, the eternity and infinity of the universe, fine tuning of the initial conditions of the universe. These data from the natural sciences can not only inspire but also point to new ways of understanding classical theological theories. It is the concept of “inspiration” that seems to be central to the approach that we have defined as “the new theo (cosmology)”. On a few selected examples we want to show how, on the basis of the latest cosmological data, Heller shapes the “new theology”, creatively refl ecting on questions about the creation of the world, its eternity, and Providence caringly supporting the existence of the universe.Balázs Mezei, in an essay entitled Demythologizing Christian philosophy: an outline, criticizes the position he describes as “cosmotheology”. Российские планы на сейме Речи Посполитой 1744 г.
At the Diet in 1744 and 1746, the Polish authorities tried to obtain a permit to enlarge the army, reduced at the request of Russia in 1717. For the first time since then, these intentions were viewed favourably in St. Petersburg. These actions were caused by the efforts of the government-appointed by Tsar Elizabeth Petrovna to create a bloc of states directed against the rapidly developing Prussia. To this end, Russia was ready to change its policy. However, as a result of a survey conducted on the possibilities of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth and its development prospects, St. Petersburg decided not to rely on Polish forces in the fight against Prussia and returned to the previous policy. At the Diet in 1744 and 1746, the Polish authorities tried to obtain a permit to enlarge the army, reduced at the request of Russia in 1717. The misery of the human condition and religion
The present essay is devoted to various aspects of the misery of the human condition and their references to religion, as conceived of by Leszek Kołakowski and Józef Tischner. After a preliminary presentation of the two thinkers, the author discusses example aspects of the misery in question, showing at what points Kołakowski’s thinking differed from that of Tischner. However, the author finds that the key issue is the evolution that took place in the views on this subject in each one of them. This evolution shows that Kołakowski’s and Tischner’s hopes for overcoming that which each one of them, in his own manner, understood as the misery of the human condition in the Polish localness were not fulfilled. Thus, Poles did not manage to attain universalism, as perceived by both the thinkers in the context of the Western European culture. This finding, however, involves a question about what in the contemporary culture, and particularly religion is local, and what is universal. The present essay is devoted to various aspects of the misery of the human condition and their references to religion, as conceived of by Leszek Kołakowski and Józef Tischner.
