Self-propelled artillery for infantry division ~ AFF BD no. 1.
Since World War II a requirement for self-propelled artillery has been stated by many individuals and has appeared in reports of various conferences. AFF Board no. 1 endeavored by a questionnaire to determine the views of 21 service schools, AFF boards, and organizational units on the necessity for light, unarmored self-propelled artillery for the infantry division. The answers revealed conflicting and contradictory views. The document details the advantages and disadvantages of division artillery carriage types, most suitable types of carriage, and investigates the feasibility and practicability for infantry division artillery of a 105-mm howitzer mounted on an unarmored wheeled motor carriage
Leader's guide to the digital liaison detachment.
This handbook provides leaders and supporting staff in the operational Army with an overview of how to plan, train, and leverage the capabilities of digital liaison detachments (DLDs) that render a critical capability for mission command liaison and interoperability. Also included are operational insights from Center for Army Lessons Learned (CALL) assessment teams during exercises Anakonda 16 and Saber Guardian 17. DLDs are assigned or attached to selected theater armies and Army service component commands. They are employed at theater armies or in support of corps and division echelons. These teams provide an Army forces (ARFOR) commander with the capability to conduct liaison with subordinate or parallel joint and multinational headquarters within the operational area.

Operating in the interorganizational environment : insights from U.S. Army Africa.
U.S. military leaders and planners must understand the purpose and mission of the many governmental, nongovernmental (NGO) and international organizations in the area of operations to facilitate collective cooperation. This paper highlights some challenges the U.S. Army faces when operating in the interorganizational environment and provides insights to enhance collaboration to achieve mutual objectives. These insights were collected during the civilian-led Interorganizational Tabletop Exercise (ITX) conducted in Washington D.C., hosted by the U.S. Institute for Peace (USIP) in conjunction with the Department of Defense (DOD), and the Joint Staff J-7 Exercise Directorate from 17 - 20 July 2017

The Reconnaissance and Security Commander’s Handbook and the Brigade Engineer Battalion and BCT Integration Handbook are both excellent resources that were developed using lessons and best practices from combat training center (CTC), home station, and operational experiences. We are also in the process of updating several highly relevant, yet somewhat dated, CALL products. This includes an update to Rehearsals (98-05) and the addition of a volume 4 to the Fighting with Fires series of publications
