Joy Bells Park (Grosse Pointe Farms, Mich.)
No full textThe chime is located in a clock tower in Joy Bells Park. The mechanical-automatic chime has 15 bells that were cast in 1929 by Les Fils de George Paccard (Annecy, FR). The original location of the clock tower and chime and was on the Henry B. Joy estate Fair Acres. The tower and chime were given to the city of Grosse Pointe Farms in 1958 and installed in 1960 on the grounds of the waterworks building. The tower and chime were restored and moved to the present location, in Joy Bells Park, in 1991

The carillon was installed in 1900 with 26 bells that were cast by Les Fils de Georges Paccard (Annecy, FR). In 1947, the instrument was enlarged to 44 bells, with two bells cast by Les Fils de Georges Paccard and the others by Arthur L. Bigelow (Princeton, New Jersey, US). The carillon was enlarged in 1952 with bells cast by Les Fils de Georges Paccard (Annecy, FR). Renovations were made to the carillon by the I. T. Verdin Company (Cincinnati, Ohio, US) in 1975. A new transmission was installed in 1985
