Construction Finishes at City Centre
City Centre opens to the public as construction crews put the finishing touches on the exterior of the building. The 109,000 square foot complex cost $9.1 million dollars and was built to house Bradenton City Hall and police headquarters. A dedication and grand opening ceremony was held in the building's municipal auditorium on November 1, 1998
Bradenton Municipal Auditorium Under Construction

The City Centre complex that houses Bradenton City Hall and the Bradenton Police Department was built around the existing auditorium. The auditorium was increased in size from 25,000 square feet to 35,000 square feet and got new entrances and bathrooms, a new elevator, new air conditioning and seating, and a new color scheme. Construction crews also uncovered the original wood ceiling beams which were exposed and stained to present a new look

Construction of the new Bealls superstore, opened at 6355 Manatee Ave W in Bradenton in April 1998. Bealls renovated the building at the Fountain Court Plaza, which was formerly home to Walmart. The opening of this location saw the Beachway Plaza Bealls (7308 Manatee Ave W) turned into a Bealls Outlet
