Man Outside Fire-Damaged Clock Restaurant
Fire damage from a 1999 kitchen fire is seen in part of the Clock Restaurant, 613 Cortez Road, Bradenton. The restaurant was part of a larger Florida chain of Clock restaurants and this location opened in the early 1990s. The restaurant reopened from the fire in 2001 after a renovation and a rename to the Clock Family Restaurant. After the Clock Restaurant closed in 2002, a series of restaurants inhabited the building. It has been home for several years to H&R Block offices. In this image is Fire Inspector Robert Austin

Locals Fish at Bean Point
Local fishermen throw a line into the surf at Bean Point, the northernmost tip of Anna Maria Island. Bean Point was named for Anna Maria Island's earliest known permanent resident, George Emerson Bean. Bean's son, George Wilhelm Bean, partnered with island resident Charles Roser to form the Anna Maria Beach Company, responsible for the island's early development. Today Anna Maria Island is home to more than 10,000 residents and is a popular site for fishing and beachgoing

A view of the front exterior of Manatee High School. The pictured school was built in 1926. Originally Biltmore Grammar School, the high school moved in to the building in 1929 from its previous location in downtown Bradenton. In 1947, Bradenton High School merged with Palmetto High School and was renamed Manatee County High School but in 1956 the schools again split and the school was renamed with its current Manatee High School moniker in 1958. The Davis building was demolished in 2011, but in its place, the new Davis building retains the iconic original six columns and staired entrance
Sign for Harrington House Bed & Breakfast
A view of the main sign for the Harrington House Bed & Breakfast. Located at 5626 Gulf Dr. in Holmes Beach, the 8-room inn was opened by Jo and Frank Davis in 1989. It was named after Frank Davis's father, Harrington. The building was built in 1925 and served as a family mansion. In 2020, the Davis family closed Harrington House as a bed and breakfast and converted it back to a personal residence
Islander Market Closes
A view of the Islander Market. The Islander Market originally opened in 1946. It was owned and operated by Anna Maria mayor Ernie Cagnina, during which time it was known as the Anna Maria IGA Foodliner. After Cagnina's death in 1994, the store was operated by Frank Albano. The store closed in 1999. In 2000, it was converted into an antique mall and art gallery. In 2009, the location has been home to Ginny and Jane E's Cafe, a popular restaurant and shop
