    He attended College of Wooster and received his B.A. in 1972 and J.D. Emory Law School, receiving his degree in 1975. In the mid-1970s, Judge Farrance joined a law partnership with Scott Brownell. He began serving on the County Court Bench in December 1999. He was sworn in as a judge in 2000. In May 2005 he took part in a Law Day special event, entertaining the audience with the Top Ten reasons people gave to be excused from Jury Duty.
