Lawrence E. Boese Interview
LT GEN Lawrence Boese joined the United States Air Force following his graduation from VMI in 1966 and rose to the rank of Lt. General before retiring in 1996. This interview covers his three tours of duty in Vietnam, 1968-1972, with particular emphasis upon Operation Linebacker. During the "Linebacker " period he served as a F-4D/E aircraft commander, instructor pilot and mission commander with the 308th Tactical Fighter Squadron out of Homestead Air Force Base, Florida. A portion of the interview covers the introduction of Laser Guided Bombs
Michael L. Bozeman Interview
A retired Brigadier General in the U.S. Army Reserve, Bozeman's awards and decorations include the Silver Star, Bronze Star, Legion of Merit, Air Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, the Combat Infantryman's Badge, and the Ranger Tab. He is also a 1992 graduate of the U.S. Army War College.
After commissioning in 1967, he spent three years on active duty including a year in Vietnam, where he served with distinction as a platoon leader and commanded a Long Range Reconnaissance Patrol Unit. This interview covers his service in Vietnam
Darrell Van Ness Interview
Van Ness began his service as a Private in 1978, completing his basic training and AIT in Armor School at Ft. Knox, Kentucky. He went on to Ft. Bliss to 3rd Armored CAV and was assigned to 3rd ACR F Troop. From 1980-81 he was stationed in Garlstedt, Germany, in the AD4 and from 1981-84 he served with the 3rd and 7th Cavalry B Troop
