James R. Cook Interviews
Two interviews with U. S. Army officer R. James Cook. Cook was on active duty with the United States Army for over 20 years - first as an enlisted soldier, E2-E6; and subsequently as an officer, 2LT - MAJ. He is a decorated combat veteran who was deployed to Afghanistan, with a background in military intelligence and aviation. From 2005-2006 he served as aide-de-camp to the Commanding General at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Cook has served twice in the Army ROTC department at VMI
Meeks Vaughan Interview
Capt. Meeks B. Vaughan commissioned in the Army Air Force as a 2nd Lieutenant while at the University of Tennessee, in June of 1942. A WWII veteran, he was stationed at Guadalcanal, Bougainville, Leyte, Morotai, and Palawan from March 1944 through October 1945, serving as an Intelligence Officer (S-2) and Captain. This interview covers Capt. Vaughan's early years growing up in Timpton County, Tennessee, as well as his experiences during WWII

Thomas A. Brashears Interview
CPT Brashears was 9 3/4 years active with the 18th Field Artillery Brigade Airborne, 1st Armored Division. He deployed to Kosovo from May - December, 2000 and to Iraq as Battery Commander from April 2003 - July 2004. This interview primarily covers his experiences in Iraq
