Ernest A. Andrews Interview
Ernest Andrews was born in Tennessee in 1923 and was drafted into the U. S. Army in 1943. He served in the 16th Infantry, H Company, First Infantry Division (Big Red One) until the end of the war and was in combat at Normandy, and in the Rhineland, Central Europe and Ardennes. Alexis Hart Interview
LCDR Alexis Hart commissioned with the U.S. Navy in May 1993. From August 1993 – April 1994 she was a student at the Navy Supply Corps School in Athens, GA. From May 1994 to June 1997, she served as Division Officer on board the USS Essex (LHD2), and was first woman assigned to an amphibious ship. From July 1997 – June 1999, she served as Instructor at the Navy Supply Corps School. This interview covers her experiences on board the USS Essex
