His father, Robert Jenkins ’58, began collecting the rifles shortly after he graduated from VMI. The Virginia Manufactory of Arms muskets may have been stored at the VMI armory before and during the Civil War

Cadets and students from other colleges participated in the Richard E. Rosenthal student competition, held as part of the Military Operations Research Society’s Education and Professional Development Colloquium at George Mason University in Fairfax, Va., March 24, 2015. The Rosenthal competition challenges college students to use operations research to resolve national security issues. This year’s group of 19 cadets was the largest VMI delegation ever to attend the colloquium
