The study proposes several mitigation strategies, including proper training for installers, using compatible materials, regular inspections, and adherence to industry standards. These recommendations aim to help homeowners, installers, and policymakers ensure the integrity of roofing systems while reaping the benefits of solar energy
Understanding Reasons of Cost Overruns in Construction Projects from Contractors’ Standpoint
The construction sector represents one of the most significant contributors to the Georgian economy; it holds 8% of the country's total GDP. Additionally, 8.83% of Georgia's employed labour force works in construction throughout all industries. Therefore, it is essential to understand the challenges that the industry faces. Worldwide, project teams have finished nine out of ten projects with budget overruns. Many researchers have studied the factors influencing cost overruns across countries, regions, and project types. Most of these studies define cost overruns as the difference between the initially outlined budget and the final actual costs incurred. This definition simultaneously takes into account the viewpoints of all project stakeholders. In this particular research, the focus is on the point of view of construction companies. The research process is divided into three parts. The first part focuses on creating a list of all factors causing the construction project cost overruns. The second phase is dedicated to creating a questionnaire based on the final shortlist and gathering answers from experts working in construction. During the last phase, the survey results are analysed, and further desk research is conducted to provide recommendations for risk mitigation. As a result, sixteen factors are studied, the most frequent and severe ones identified as inflation, delays in getting approval from the client regarding the decisions concerning the project during the construction, and poor estimates of the project pre-construction. Several recommendations and tools are given for risk mitigation of cost overrun and protection against financial losses. Construction companies cannot eliminate all risks but can use best practices to address the most common factors they face

Analysis of Errors in the Essays of Senior Secondary School Students in Akoko South-West Local Government Area, Ondo State, Nigeria
This study examines the effectiveness of classroom activities in enhancing writing proficiency among senior secondary school students in Akoko, South-West Local Government Area, Ondo State, Nigeria. Recognising the importance of English proficiency for academic and professional success, this research analyses the types, frequency, and causes of errors in students' essays, offering insights into language learning challenges. Researchers used a descriptive research design to collect data from 100 students across five schools through an essay-writing task, followed by error analysis to categorise grammar, vocabulary, syntax, and cohesion issues. Results indicate that students frequently struggle with sentence structure, cohesion, and grammatical errors, with sentence and cohesion errors rated as the most severe. Key factors influencing these errors include limited vocabulary, insufficient proofreading, and inadequate command of English. Findings highlight the importance of targeted instructional strategies, including vocabulary enhancement, grammar-focused activities, and consistent feedback to address these challenges. By identifying prevalent errors and underlying causes, this study provides actionable recommendations for educators, emphasising the need for tailored interventions to improve students' writing proficiency and overall language competence. The implications extend to curriculum development, aiming to support students' success in language acquisition and communication skills
Advanced Non-Destructive Testing Techniques For Pipeline Integrity Assessment
The paper reviews advanced non-destructive testing techniques of pipeline integrity assessment mainly applied for defect detection, such as corrosion, cracks, and mechanical damage, with no disturbance to the pipeline operational services. Accordingly, the essential NDT methods reviewed will be classified as ultrasonic testing, electromagnetic inspection, radiographic testing, acoustic emission testing, and intelligent pigging. Each technique's detection accuracy, cost-effectiveness, and field applicability have been reviewed and judged. Among various comparisons done here, one points out strengths and weaknesses. At the same time, it indicates the rise of artificial intelligence for predictive maintenance, coupled with a completely different generation of IoT sensors that allow real-time monitoring. However, knowledge gaps still exist regarding standardisation, real-world validation of new technologies, and cost-efficient solutions for the complex geometries of pipelines. Finally, it concludes with recommendations for improving pipeline safety, operational reliability, and efficiency in maturing energy infrastructures
Key Opinion Leaders, Fear of Missing Out: Do They Effect the Gen-Z Purchase Decision of Agak Laen Movie Tickets?
This study analyses the influence of Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) on Generation Z's purchasing decisions for "Agak Laen" movie tickets, with Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) as a moderating variable. The researchers tested the hypotheses using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with Partial Least Squares (PLS) analysis via the SmartPLS application. KOL was measured through Reputation, Perceived Fit, and Product Involvement, while Purchase Stability, Purchase Consideration, and Attribute Fit assessed purchasing decisions. Researchers measured the dimensions of competence, autonomy, and relatedness in FoMO. The results reveal that KOLs positively and significantly affect purchasing decisions. However, FoMO does not moderate this relationship; this suggests that while KOLs influence Generation Z, the FoMO factor does not amplify their influence in purchasing "Agak Laen" movie tickets. These findings offer new insights into the roles of KOLs and FoMO in digital marketing, particularly for products that have already achieved widespread success
