Development of an AI-Based Model for Predictive Maintenance of Software Systems

Software failures have been on the rise recently, leading to operational shortcomings and substantial financial losses. One primary reason is a lack of a diligent maintenance culture. To enhance reliability and minimise operational downtime, this study proposes the development of an AI-based predictive maintenance model for software systems. The study uses real-time and historical system data, such as performance metrics, error logs, and resource usage, in conjunction with supervised machine learning algorithms of Random Forest (RF), Support Vector Machine (SVM), XGBoost, and Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) networks to forecast software failures before they happen. The researchers used open-source datasets and industrial maintenance logs to train and evaluate the models. Results showed that LSTM and XGBoost performed better than the other models, achieving validation accuracies of up to 90% and demonstrating their strong ability to capture intricate feature interactions and temporal dependencies. By comparing these models for efficacy across comparable scenarios, the study advances the study of software reliability. It emphasises the potential of AI-driven predictive maintenance to help organisations shift from reactive to proactive maintenance strategies, minimising downtime, optimising resource allocation, and lowering costs. Adopting scalable, interpretable models suited to specific data types and system contexts is one of the recommendations.

The isolation and characterisation of bioactive compound(s) from Musa acuminata colla (banana blossom) as a result, the research aimed to isolate secondary metabolites. Sample Extraction was carried out using the maceration method to obtain ethyl acetate extracts. The Ethyl acetate extract of the Banana blossom flower and bract was used for isolation. Compounds isolation using Column Chromatography, the 260 fractions from the column are subjected to TLC testing to see the separation of the component combination by applying a thin stationary phase supported by an inert backing that yields 30 fractions. The purpose of TLC is to obtain well-defined, well-separated spots. Each component has a retention factor (RF), which combines fractions with the same RF value. The four fractions obtained from TLC activities were analysed using NMR spectroscopy (FT-IR, 1D NMR, 2D NMR and Mass spec), which resulted in the isolation of triterpenes compounds named Cycloeucalenone

Pengprov PASI Aceh is one of the places that fosters athletes in Aceh. Aceh PASI provided athletes with a training ground at the Harapan Bangsa Stadium in Banda Aceh city. The achievements are still very lacking, as seen from the results of several championships, including the National Championship and regional offices. Aceh athletics, particularly in the 400m hurdles, high jump, and long jump, did not meet the PON qualification limit, so they cannot participate in the biggest event, such as PON in Papua, at the end of November 2021. This is due to one of them having a poor physical condition. This study aims to determine the level of dominant physical abilities and achievements in the 400 m hurdles, long jump, and high jump events among PON Aceh athletes in 2024. This study employs a type of evaluation research with a quantitative approach, utilising descriptive research methods. The population in this study consisted of all athletes participating in the 400 m hurdles, long jump, and high jump events at the 2024 PON Aceh Athletics event, totalling seven individuals. The sampling technique employed in this study was a purposive sampling method involving the selection of 7 participants. Data collection using tests and measurements of athletic dominant physical components and achievements. Data analysis using statistical analysis of average and percentage. Full text link
This study investigates the corporate governance and ethical failure that led to the 2016 Wells Fargo stage account crisis, one of the most notorious recent bank scandals. The scandal erupted when 3.5 million unauthorised accounts were opened by bank employees working under intense pressure to meet impossible sales targets. This study reveals significant ethical shortcomings, such as support for improper selling practices and poor management of whistleblower complaints. Additionally, it considers corporate governance shortcomings, i.e., inadequate board and management controls, permitting the deceptive activities to proceed. Ethical egoism, a theory whose core is self-interest, is mentioned in comparison to the scandal, showing how the profit motive incentives resulted in improper behaviour.Additionally, the paper discusses the implications of corporate responsibility, which include the need for stronger governance structures, ethical leadership, and regulation to prevent such scandals. The research emphasises the need for ethical standards in financial institutions to protect consumers, enhance investor confidence, and ensure long-term corporate sustainability. Finally, it calls for re-examining corporate cultures that prioritise profits at the expense of ethics and impose stringent internal controls to prevent further misconduct

Optimised Design and Structural Simulation of a Quad Cycle Chassis Using Finite Element Methods

Automotive chassis is the most essential part of an automobile. The chassis serves as a framework for supporting the body and different parts of the quad cycle, so it should be rigid enough to withstand the shock, twist, vibration and other stresses. Manufacturers consider many criteria when designing a chassis structure, including their requirements for its characteristics and established engineering design principles. As a result, strength and stiffness are two essential criteria for the design of the quad-cycle chassis. Also, the weight of the chassis is a critical consideration for chassis design due to its direct relationship with the amount of fuel consumption and the emissions rates emitted to the surrounding atmosphere. This project analyses the structural design of a specific vehicle chassis by using the theory of finite element method (FEM), which is performed by simulating the chassis model into frontal car crash tests using the ANSYS Workbench program. This project aims to achieve analytical results by recommending the following chassis design criteria. The structure's cross-bridges significantly mitigate the collision's effect on the rest of the vehicle's body. The objective of this project is to design and analyse quad-cycle chassis; this will avoid any possibility of structure failure and thus provide enough supporting members to strengthen the region in terms of deformation. Finite element analysis enables the predict the area that tends to fail due to loading. Besides that, there is a need to utilise the feature of CAE software named FEMPRO to get the distribution of stress and strain on the chassis, as well as both component and material costing. The main objective is to study the effect of load on driver weight, the car body and the equipment
