Site Images and GIS Data from an Archaeological Evaluation at Rushbrooks Nursery, The Street, Monks Eleigh, Suffolk, 2021
This collection consists of site images and GIS data from an archaeological evaluation at Rushbrooks Nursery Site, The Street, Monks Eleigh, Suffolk. Works were conducted by Cotswold Archaeology in March 2021. Six similarly aligned ditches were recorded in the base of the trenches which probably represent elements of a field system or property boundaries associated with medieval roadside occupation. Large assemblages of pottery were recovered from ditches in Trench 2 and the single ditch in Trench 1. The size and quantity of this material, from two concentrated areas, is indicative of occupation of high medieval date on the site and may suggest continuous occupation from the early medieval period but not extending beyond the 14th century
Site Images and GIS Data from an Archaeological Evaluation at Allbrook Way, Eastleigh, Hampshire, August 2023
This collection consists of site images and GIS data from and archaeological evaluation at Allbrook Way, Eastleigh, Hampshire. Works were conducted by Cotswold Archaeology in August 2023. Mesolithic/Neolithic activity was represented by a single worked flint, with flint of broad prehistoric date also recovered from later features, reflective of low-level background activity. Most of the occupation spanned the Late Iron Age through to the Roman period in the form of ditches, pits and a possible trackway

Works were conducted by Albion Archaeology between January and May of 2018. The open-area excavation primarily revealed part of a large, enclosed Roman settlement. A possible continuation into the 5th century or later is suggested by the presence of a Saxon sunken-featured building. In addition, twenty-four inhumation burials were identified, mostly contained within two small cemeteries
