Continuum Λ spectra for a 6ΛLi hypernucleus in the 6Li( −, −) reaction
We theoretically investigate Lambda production via a (K-, pi-) reaction on a 6Li target, using the distorted-wave impulse approximation with a Fermi-averaged K-n-* pi-Lambda amplitude. We calculate Lambda production spectra using the Green's function method for a 5Li nuclear core + Lambda system, employing a Lambda folding-model potential based on the 5Li nuclear density, which is constructed from alpha-p and 3He-d cluster wave functions. The results show that the calculated spectrum, which includes Lambda bound, resonance, and continuum states, agrees well with the experimental data from the (K-, pi-) reaction at pK-= 790 MeV/c (0 degrees), where substitutional (0p, 0p-1)Lambda n and (0s, 0s-1)Lambda n configurations dominate in the near-recoilless reactions. A narrow peak corresponds to a high-lying excited state with spin-parity JP = 1+ at E Lambda = 13.8 MeV near the 3He + d + Lambda threshold, arising from interference effects between 5Li(3/2+) (R) (0s1/2)Lambda and 5Li(1/2+) (R) (0s1/2)Lambda components. This study offers a valuable framework for extracting essential information on the structure and production mechanisms of hypernuclear states from experimental data
A Simple Method to Estimate Coil Temperature With Local Normal-State Region
This paper proposes a simple analytical expression to estimate the temperature of no-insulation (NI) high-temperature superconducting (HTS) coils when a local normal zone appears. The combination of the NI winding technology and HTS, especially rare-earth barium copper oxide (REBCO), enables high-field generation with high thermal stability. Since the advent of the NI winding technology, a few simulation techniques have been improved: the finite element method (FEM) and the partial element equivalent circuit (PEEC) are well-established as of today. The PEEC method can simulate the coil behaviors relatively fast compared with the FEM simulation due to the number of elements. However, the computation time is still long, particularly when a normal-state transition is simulated coupled with thermal analysis due to the extreme non-linearity of the superconductors. Therefore, we have previously proposed a simple and versatile analytical expression to estimate NI HTS coil temperatures in the cases of ramping down with an arbitrary speed and sudden discharging. Compared with PEEC simulations, the analytical formulae were validated in both cases under the assumption that the NI HTS coil is perfectly superconducting. In this paper, taking further realistic considerations into account, an NI HTS coil with a few normal-state turns is modeled, and its temperature is also formulated. The calculation results are validated with the PEEC model, and the accuracy and usable range of the proposed method is also discussed

Relativism, Universalism and the Limits of the Pluriversal Model of Decolonization
The paper examines pluriversality as a model of decolonization and its implications for the decoloniality scholars. In the past few decades, the concepts such as colonization, post-colonization and decolonization have formed important vocabularies in the works of many decoloniality scholars who championed the emancipation of the knowledge production from Eurocentric episteme. For obvious reason, this is not unconnected to the colonial legacies and past experiences of the (ex-)colonized people. One of the major problems with the Eurocentric model of epistemic practice is that it mainly represents the view of the West going by its ideological roots hence, subjective and relativistic even though often packaged as objective and universal. Thus, for the decoloniality scholars, pursuing pluriversal agenda in the decolonization of knowledge in African academy and other non-western societies is often considered to be an alternative model. However, arising from the above decoloniality philosophy, the central question in this paper is that, how objective and universal is the suggested pluriversal model of decolonization? The paper contends that answer to this question is not as straight forward as the decoloniality scholars assumed due to the complexity of the model. The paper concludes by examining the implications of the complexity and the limits of the pluriversal epistemic model
Decolonization of education about the Ainu people
本稿では、アイヌ民族に関する教育を脱植民地化することを目的に、カナダの事例を参照しつつ基本的な理念や現状の問題点、授業や教材においてインクルーシブな説明・叙述を行うために注意すべきことなど検討をした。初めに、カナダにおける先住民族児童・生徒に向けたカリキュラムと非先住民族学生に向けた実践を参照した。つづいて日本国内の状況を検討し、筆者自身の教育実践の一部を紹介した。結論では、先住民化・脱植民地化を構想する教育に必要と思われる要素をまとめた。This paper examines the decolonization of education related to the Ainu people, with reference to the Canadian case study. First, reference was made to the curriculum for indigenous children and students and practices for nonindigenous students in Canada. In contrast to this, the situation in Japan was examined and some of the author's own educational practices were introduced. In the conclusion, the author summarized the elements considered necessary for education that envisions indigenization and decolonization
