Digital Preservation Appliance Based on OpenBSD
No full textThe LOCKSS program has developed and deployed in a world-wide test a system for preserving access to academic journals published on the Web. The fundamental problem for any digital preservation system is that it must be affordable for the long term. To reduce the cost of ownership, the LOCKSS system uses generic PC hardware, open source software, and peer-to-peer technology. It is packaged as a ``network appliance'', a single-function box that can be connected to the Internet, configured and left alone to do its job with minimal monitoring or administration. The first version of this system was based on a Linux boot floppy. After three years of testing it was replaced by a second version, based on OpenBSD and booting from CD-ROM.
We focus in this paper on the design, implementation and deployment of a network appliance based on an open source operating system. We provide an overview of the LOCKSS application and describe the experience of deploying and supporting its first version. We list the requirements we took from this to drive the design of the second version, describe how we satisfied them in the OpenBSD environment, and report on the initial

No full textABSTRAK Banyak nya respon masyarakat dan netizen di sosial media yang sering memplesetkan sebutan LGBT termasuk Transgender dengan panggilan dan tanggapan yang lucu, misalnya "Ku kira Yanti ternyata Yanto" atau “ Ku kira jamilah ternyata jamil†dan masih banyak lagi, sebutan ini bukan semata-mata tertuju pada individu yang bernama Yanti dan Yanto atau jamil dan jamilah, namun ternyata kata tersebut hanya kiasan yaitu kukira perempuan ternyata Laki-laki dan dibuat menjadi candaan di sosial media untuk menanggapi para perilaku transgender. Di Indonesia tidak sedikit hal itu terjadi, sehingga penulis tertarik untuk mengangkat hal tersebut. Untuk mengetahui lebih lanjut mengenai Perlindungan Transgender dalam HAM dan tinjauannya dalam Hukum Islam, mengingat dalam Islam mengharamkan LGBT dimana Transgender termasuk di dalamnya.Kata Kunci : Hukum, Transgender, HAM, Islam, Perlindungan hukum. ABSTRACT There are many responses from the public and netizens on social media who often use the term LGBT, including Transgender, with funny calls and responses, for example "Ku Yanti turns out to be Yanto" or "Ku Jamilah turns out to be Jamil" and many more, this term is not solely aimed at individuals named Yanti and Yanto or jamil and jamilah, but it turns out that the words are only figures of speech, that is, I thought women were actually men and made a joke on social media to respond to transgender behavior. In Indonesia, not a few things happen, so the author is interested in bringing it up. Analisis Resepsi Khalayak Tentang Aplikasi Mypertamina (Studi Pada Masyarakat Kota Bengkulu)
No full textOn 01 September 2022, the government began to require the use of the MyPertamina application in the process of purchasing subsidised fuel oil, the policy implemented by the government will cause a variety of public receptions regarding the MyPertamina application. This application is relatively new to use and sophisticated so that the author is interested in conducting research to find out how the public reception analysis of the MyPertamina application. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods with data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. In this study the authors chose 6 informants who had used the MyPertamina application with different backgrounds. Then the researcher will analyse the interview results using 3 audience positions in Stuart Hall's reception theory. The results of this study indicate that 4 informants are in the Negotiated Reading position, namely the audience accepts the policies applied because this is required by the government in purchasing subsidised fuel oil but provides input and suggestions according to what they want, namely if in the future the application of using this application is no longer required then they will not use it again and in the future the performance of the MyPertamina application can be improved so that consumers have no difficulty in using it. And 2 informants in the Dominant Hegemonic Reading position where the audience fully accepts the policies applied because with this application the oil can be distributed on target. The author does not find the third position, namely Oppositional counter Hegemonic Reading, which is the audience fully rejects the policies implemented because the MyPertamina application users have felt the positive impact and benefits of using this application. This means that the results show that the audiences in this study agree with the policy of using the Mypertamina application in Bengkulu City in purchasing subsidised fuel oil (BBM)
LADM Implementation Prototype for 3D Cadastre Information System of Multi-Level Apartment in Indonesia
No full textLimitations of land supply for infrastructure developments in urban areas led to the development of multi-level and vertical buildings. Massive developments and uses of high rise buildings and constructions such as muti-level apartments and overpass structures in big cities in Indonesia indicated that the demand for space above the ground surface is rapidly increasing in recent years. Regardless the existence of policy and standards of services on land and property registrations, the trend will potentially cause ineffective space management as there is no dedicated information system to efficiently and effectively register and manage information related to boundary of property objects and spaces above the ground and their corresponding rights of ownerships and uses. This paper is dealt with a development of an information system prototype that deals with the registration and management of objects and spaces related to cadastre system (3D cadastre) . Currently the registration system does not store geometry and attributes of ownerships of spaces of property objects in a single system whereas there is a potential opportunity to adopt Land Administration Domain Model (LADM) basic classes in enhancing registration and visualization of land and property spaces. For that reason, a prototype was built based on a simple implementation of LADM basic classes by conforming to the national law on strata title for multi-level appartment and regulation of national land office related to land registration systems. This research uses 3D spatial data stored in CAD format of commercial units in multi-level building in city of Semarang. Enterprise Architect UML CASE Tools 9.3 is used to create a spatial database schema concerning the implementation of LADM basic classes suited to strata title registration system. PostgreSQL with PostGIS spatial extensions were applied to store geometries and attribute data. Delphi programming language with its GLScene components are chosen as the framework to build the prototype that enables 3D spatial data visualization. This research successfully created a desktop-based 3D cadastral information system prototype called SIK3D. SIK3D complies the terms of land administration system which mandates that the system should facilitate data input, processing, and visualization of land parcels and related spaces with their corresponding uses and ownership rights. Through the system, LADM basic classes can be adapted to the appartment’s space ownership registration system that currently is regulated in Indonesia according to the Law. Mapping the evolution of entrepreneurship as a field of research (1990-2013): A scientometric analysis.
No full textThis article applies scientometric techniques to study the evolution of the field of entrepreneurship between 1990 and 2013. Using a combination of topic mapping, author and journal co-citation analyses, and overlay visualization of new and hot topics in the field, this article makes important contribution to the entrepreneurship research by identifying 46 topics in the 24-year history of entrepreneurship research and demonstrates how they appear, disappear, reappear and stabilize over time. It also identifies five topics that are persistent across the 24-year study period--institutions and institutional entrepreneurship, innovation and technology management, policy and development, entrepreneurial process and opportunity, and new ventures--which I labeled as The Pentagon of Entrepreneurship. Overall, the analyses revealed patterns of convergence and divergence and the diversity of topics, specialization, and interdisciplinary engagement in entrepreneurship research, thus offering the latest insights on the state of the art of the field

No full textThe inauguration of President Jokowi for a second term has made the public hope that there will be a significant breakthrough in the agrarian sector. However, this hope has been disappointed—again by Jokowi—because of the passage of the UU Cipta Kerja which has a significant impact on agrarian issues. Civil groups noted that the law will further add to the blurry future of agrarian reform as enshrined in the fifth precepts of Pancasila and Article 33 of the UUD 1945. Taking this background, the author is interested in analyzing the lines of agrarian ideology in the era of President Joko Widodo, using qualitative methods that based on literature studies, and using the analysis knife of the Fifth Precepts of Pancasila and Article 33 of the UUD 1945 to provide a deeper perspective on agrarian policy in the era of President Jokowi's leadership
