LCC-OPS: Life Cycle Cost Application in Aircraft Operations
Observation of current practices in aircraft operations and maintenance shows limited consideration of cost savings applied by aircraft modifications, maintenance program optimisation and aircraft selection. This is due to hidden (maintenance dependent) costs and difficulties in quantifying the utilisation of a higher availability or reduction of revenue losses. Hidden costs can be a significant portion of operating costs and could be reduced by a better aircraft reliability. Most of the decisions for aircraft modification and maintenance program optimisation are made only to fulfil airworthiness or operational requirements. The considerations for the impact of aircraft reliability and maintenance dependent costs on life cycle cost are limited during aircraft selection, because operational data is very limited and the methods to quantify technical delays and cancellations are not available. This situation can be improved by a better quantification of the required investment and the savings achieved by a proper evaluation of the implemented modifications and maintenance program optimisations. In this thesis a Life Cycle Cost model is developed, called LCC-OPS, which visualises the hidden costs and quantifies opportunity revenues or losses. This model will provide an objective calculation and evaluation of the current and projected alternatives.Aerospace Engineerin
Seno Gumira Ajidarma dan Pelajaran Mengarang: Penelusuran Intensi Pengarang dan Studi Struktural Menurut Roland Barthes
This study is an attempt to explain the need to involve or not the intention (intention) of the author in literary interpretation. The literary work analyzed is the short story of "Lesson of Writing" by Seno Gumira Ajidarma. Through the process of understanding as outlined in theory, it appears that the question of feeling, thought, soul, and author's intention is relatively unimportant. Thus, in the understanding of a literary work we "can" only stand on the text independently. However, be aware that it is not the only way. Another way that is also "legitimate" to do still quite a lot. And indeed, literature is a living organism that always invites interpretation throughout history

This research aims at describing and explaining five aspects which build literary communication system (Trilogy of Gadis Tangsi novels by Suparto Brata). Those five aspects are intention (author), representation (postcolonial), expression (text), reference (thematic ideas), and projection (reader). Theory used in this research was postcolonial pragmatism (combination of postcolonial and pragmatic theories). This research was qualitative study with critical approach. The data were collected by reading, interview, and document study. Data validity was tested through triangulation (source, technique, theory). The data was analyzed using deconstruction analysis method and message function.
This research results five findings as follow. First, the research found that through postcolonial novels, author wanted to deliver historical experience in purpose (colonial period) and past cultural period (under kingdom reign) to deliver useful living meaning of his experience to next generation in future. Third, expression explains that postcolonial in Trilogy of Gadis Tangsi novels was expressed verbally (structure on narrative, space, time) and non-verbal (visual drawings in book cover). Fourth, reference study explains that postcolonial aspects in trilogy of Gadis Tangsi novels has potentially stimulate the emerge of thematic ideas (ideology) about justice, wisdom, democratization, self and other esteem, dynamic, creative, independent, nation spirit, and future insight. Fifth, projection study explains that ideas on Trilogy of Gadis Tangsi novels can be used as projection media for reader’s life in building character as reflected in manner of heart, thinking, body and feeling-willingness. For it has many positive ideas (character grain, educational values), Trilogy of Gadis Tangsi novels are appropriate for learning use material (learning source) in school and literary study material in universities

NOVEL PASAR KUNTOWIJOYO Sebuah Novel Diagnostik
This study is about to explore Kuntowijoyo's novel Market. The study of the novel Market is done by using two approaches or theories at once, namely structural and pragmatic. Structural theory is used to solve the problem of how structural elements support the meaning of novels, and pragmatic theory is used as a guide to describe values or purposes that benefit the reader. And the result is that structurally Market novels display a social theme and the presence of the theme is supported by incidents of social incapacity. The incidence of social incapacity itself occurs because of decadent social and moral behavior. The emergence of moral and social decadence is the embodiment of human clenchedness in the condition of culture.
