    How Effective is Plasmonic Enhancement of Colloidal Quantum Dots for Color-Conversion Light-Emitting Devices?

    Enhancing the fluorescence intensity of colloidal quantum dots (QDs) in case of color-conversion type QD light-emitting devices (LEDs) is very significant due to the large loss of QDs and their quantum yields during fabrication processes, such as patterning and spin-coating, and can therefore improve cost-effectiveness. Understanding the enhancement process is crucial for the design of metallic nanostructure substrates for enhancing the fluorescence of colloidal QDs. In this work, improved color conversion of colloidal green and red QDs coupled with aluminum (Al) and silver (Ag) nanodisk (ND) arrays designed by in-depth systematic finite-difference time domain simulations of excitation, spontaneous emission, and quantum efficiency enhancement is reported. Calculated results of the overall photoluminescence enhancement factor in the substrate of 500 × 500 µm2 size are 2.37-fold and 2.82-fold for Al ND-green QD and Ag ND-red QD structures, respectively. Experimental results are in good agreement, showing 2.26-fold and 2.66-fold enhancements for Al ND and Ag ND structures. Possible uses of plasmonics in cases such as white LED and total color conversion for possible display applications are discussed. The theoretical treatments and experiments shown in this work are a proof of principle for future studies of plasmonic enhancement of various light-emitting materials.

The Risalatus Shiyam (RS) manuscript is an anthology of Islamic scriptures which falls under the Islamic boarding school literature category. RS has Sufism teachings regarding the creeds of fasting and other prayers during Ramadan, which are; the mandatory nature of sawm, tarawih prayer, reading the Quran, honoring Laylat al-Qadr, almsgiving, performing Takbeer, and forming bonds with others. The RS manuscript was written by Kyai Bisri Musthofa and composed by Ahmad Abdul Al-Qondali. The manuscript was finished on November 6, 1956 / 3 Rabī’ al-Thānī 1376. The author begins the study by describing and editing the RS text to further analyze what functions are contained in the text. The aim of this study is to present the edited text and elaborate the benefits based on pragmatic analysis, and also to compare with the present society. The writer used two fields of study in analyzing the text, namely philology, and pragmatic. The philology analysis was carried in a series of steps, namely, composing the manuscript’s description and outline, transliterating, and editing the transliterated text. The pragmatic analysis was used to find out the benefits of the moral values written in RS. The result of pragmatic analysis revealed that RS has Sufism teachings of morals, which are: always be grateful, forms a social relationship with others by getting acquainted, mingle with others, and no social discrepancy. A few of those teachings are very much related to our everyday lives. The RS manuscript is also a practical guide for ordinary people who want to carry out bi-worship services in Ramadan, because in the RS manuscript is equipped with teachings, prayers and dhikr that are easy to understand and carry out, even though they are carried out with detailed and in-depth discussion. .     Evaluasi Instalasi Pompa Distribusi Pertasol Dan Prosedur Pemeliharaan Mechanical Seal Di Unit Kilang PPSDM Minyak dan Gas Bumi Cepu

    Unit Kilang PPSDM Migas Cepu adalah kilang tertua di Indonesia, dan merupakan unit pengolahan minyak bumi yang bekerja sama dengan PT. Pertamina (Persero). Unit Kilang memanfaatkan pompa Distribusi Pertasol untuk mendistribusikan fluida berupa pertasol dari tanki T.133 menuju ke mobil tangki untuk dipasarkan.. Permasahan yang terjadi pada pompa tersebut adalah kerusakan pada mechanical seal. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut perlu adanya tindakan investigasi lebih lanjut. Pada proyek akhir ini didapatkannya hasil perhitungan evaluasi instalasi dan pemilihan pompa yang sesuai untuk pompa Distribusi Pertasol. Untuk perhitungan head, NPSHA, kapasitas, daya pompa dilakukan secara analitis dan numerik menggunakan software pipe flow expert v7.30 serta dilakukan analisa kerusakan yang terjadi pada pompa distribusi pertasol. Pada perhitungan evaluasi pada instalasi ini didapatkan kapasitas untuk pompa Distribusi Pertasol dengan kapasitas 20 m3/hr dengan head effektif 8,735 m serta didapatkan daya motor sebesar 1,1 kW. Sehingga dari hasil perhitungan-perhitungan tersebut dapat dipilih pompa sentrifugal model NT 40-160 Merk Allweiler. Pada mechanical seal sering diketahui terjadinya getaran yang tinggi dan suara bising pada pompa. Hal ini disebabkan oleh O-ring yang mengalami keretakan, dan keausan pada beberapa part mechanical seal karena umur pakai komponen sudah melebihi batas yang ditentukan. Dengan melakukan kegiatan pemeliharaan secara terjadwal (preventive) pada komponen-komponen mechanical seal, hal itu dapat meningkatkan keandalan dan memperpanjang umur komponen mechanical seal. Kata kunci : Pompa distribusi pertasol, Software PFE, kapasitas, head, , mechanical seal ======================================================================================================= PPSDM Oil and Gas Refinery Unit Cepu is the oldest refinery in Indonesia, and is a petroleum processing unit in collaboration with PT. Pertamina. The Refinery unit utilizes the Pertasol Distribution pump to distribute fluid (pertasol) from the T.133 tank to the tank car to be marketed. The problem of the pump is damage to mechanical seal. To overcome this problem, further investigations is needed. In this final project, the author got the result of instalation evaluation calculation and selection of a suitable pump for the instalation of the distribution pertasol pump. Head, NPSHA, capacity, power, and pump selection calculation are analytical calculated by the author and numerically calculated by Pipe Flow Expert V7.30. According to the re-evaluation, the author got the capacity for instalation’s of distribution pertasol pump with capacity = 20 m3/hour, Head Effective = 8,735 m, and motor power = 1,1 kW. Therefore the results, of these calculations can be selected single stage centrifugal pump of Allweiler pump type NT 40-160. In mechanical seal, it is often known that high vibrations and noises occur in the pump. This causes damage to the O-ring, damage to stationary and rotary faces and vibrational deflection. The damage was caused by the O-ring being cracked, and the wear and tear that occurred on all mechanical seal parts becauses the service life of the mechanical seal component had exceeded the specified limit, by carrying out scheduled maintenance activities (preventive) on mechanical seal components.     Dalam dunia industri, pompa merupakan sarana untuk mentransfer bahan mentah dan bahan setengah jadi. Ada juga pompa yang digunakan sebagai sarana sirkulasi fluida atau injeksi bahan adiktif untuk keperluan-keperluan proses produksi. Pompa juga bisa digunakan dalam proses yang membutuhkan hidrolik yang besar, yang mana bisa kita temui pada alat-alat berat. Pompa yang digunakan di Unit Kilang PPSDM Migas merupakan jenis pompa sentrifugal. Dalam pengerjaan laporan ini kami melakukan pengamatan dan belajar mengenai kinerja pompa Sentrifugal Fuel Oil P.100/09 pada kondisi terpasang. Pompa P.100/09 adalah salah satu jenis pompa sentrifugal yang digunakan di Kilang Pusat Pengembangan Sumber Daya Manusia Minyak dan Gas Bumi (PPSDM Migas). Pompa P.100/09 merupakan pompa fuel oil yang digunakan untuk mempompakan fuel oil tanki T.104 menuju heater untuk melakukan pemanas, kemudian menuju ke furnace. Oleh karena itu, untuk menjaga performa pompa sentrifugal P.100/09 penulis mengambil topik yaitu evaluasi kinerja pompa sentrifugal fuel oil P.100/09 di Unit Klang PPSDM Migas Cepu.Pengoperasian pompa menggunakan kapasitas sesuai dengan kebutuhan operasi yaitu 6 m3/h. Hasil perhitungan head pompa sebesar 174.7 m, sedangkan pada desain mencapai 55 m sehingga head mengalami kenaikan sebesar 119.7 m. Hasil perhitungan daya motor penggerak pompa (Nsh) sebesar 3.962 kw sedangkan pada desain mencapai 11 kw sehingga daya motor mengalami penurunan sebesar 7.1 kw. ==================================================================================================== In the industrial world, the pump is a means to transfer raw materials and semi-finished materials. There are also pumps that are used as a means of fluid circulation or injection addictive materials for the purposes of the production process. Pumps can also be used in processes that require large hydraulics, which we can find on heavy equipment. The pump used in the PPSDM Migas Refinery Unit is a type of centrifugal pump. In working on this report, we observed and learned about the performance of the Centrifugal Fuel Oil P.100/09 pump in its installed condition. The P.100/09 pump is a type of centrifugal pump used at the Oil and Gas Human Resources Development Center (PPSDM Migas) Refinery. The P.100/09 pump is a fuel oil pump used to pump the T.104 heating oil fuel tank for heating, then to the furnace. Therefore, to maintain the performance of the P.100/09 centrifugal pump, the author takes the topic of evaluating the performance of the P.100/09 centrifugal pump at the Klang PPSDM Migas Cepu Unit. The operation of the pump uses a capacity according to the operating needs, which is 6 m3/h. The calculation result of the pump head is 174.7 m, while the design reaches 55 m so that the head has increased by 119.7 m. The results of the calculation of the pump drive motor power (Nsh) of 3,962 kw while the design reached 11 kw so that the motor power decreased by 7.1 kw

    ANALISIS JARAK TEMPUH BERDASARKAN KARAKTERISTIK WISATAWAN DI CURUG MALELA KABUPATEN BANDUNG BARAT

    Salah satu pertimbangan penting wisatawan dalam mengunjungi sebuah destinasi wisata adalah jarak. Konsep umum tentang jarak adalah konsep distance decay dimana menyatakan bahwa semakin meningkatnya jarak suatu destinasi dari pasar, maka akan semakin menurun tingkat kunjungannya. Konsep distance decay ini ternyata tidak hanya berhubungan dengan jarak saja, tetapi dipengaruhi oleh karakteristik wisatawan. Dalam penelitian ini, penulis ingin mengetahui apakah terdapat perbedaan rata-rata jarak tempuh berdasarkan karakteristik wisatawan di Curug Malela. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga akan menggambarkan kecenderungan peningkatan/penurunan jumlah wisatawan Curug Malela berdasarkan jarak tempuhnya dengan membuat kurva distance decay. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah statistik deskriptif dengan instrumen penelitian berupa kuesioner yang dibagikan kepada 100 wisatawan Curug Malela. Hasil penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa kunjungan wisatawan terbanyak bukan berasal dari jarak tempuh terdekat dari Curug Malela melainkan wisatawan yang menempuh jarak 36-70 km, dan ternyata hanya terdapat 5 variabel karakteristik wisatawan yang berpengaruh pada perbedaan rata-rata jarak tempuh wisatawan Curug Malela. Dengan teridentifikasinya karakteristik wisatawan dan pengaruhnya terhadap jarak tempuh menuju Curug Malela maka diharapkan penelitian ini dapat berguna dalam perencanaan pariwisata di Curug Malela khususnya untuk para planner, marketer, manager bahkan pengelola sistem transportasi dalam menentukan travel pattern,waktu kunjungan wisatawan, aktivitas dan fasilitas yang sesuai, daerah promosi yang potensial serta pengembangan rute yang dilewati wisatawan. The common concept of distance is distance decay theory which states that as distance from a destination increase, the frequency of visitation decrease. The purpose of this research is to determine if the distance travelled to Curug Malela varied with tourist’ characteristics and also the author wants to know the tendency of the number of Curug Malela’s tourists based on its distance by making a distance decay curve. The method used in this research is a descriptive statistic with the form of a questionnaire as research instrument that was distributed to 100 Curug Malela’s tourists. The results of this study reveal that the peak visitation are not from the closest mileage from Curug Malela but tourists who have distance travelled by 36-70 km, and there are only 5 variables of tourists’ characteristic which affecting tourists’ distance travelled to Curug Malela. By identifying tourists’ characteristic and its effect on the distance travelled to Curug Malela then this research can be useful for tourism planning in Curug Malela. Especially for the planner, marketer, manager, even the transportation system manager in determining the travel pattern, travel time of tourist, activities and facilities that are suitable, potential promotion area and planning a development of the route passed by tourists.
